The first thing most people think of when they hear calcium is “MILK” But
The typical reaction when someone is told to eliminate something from their diet — something they love — is often disappointment and denial. Our food habits are so engrained that reforming those habits can be challenging, but the way we handle these challenge is what helps us develop in life and our health.

Calcium is an essential nutrient that should be a part of every healthy diet, but many people grew up hearing that the best way to consume it is by drinking milk or eating dairy products. Now we know this may not be the best idea.

Milk adulteration is a serious problem in India. There are reports which suggest that 68 per cent of milk in India is adulterated with products like glucose, caustic soda, white paints, oil or even detergents. Chemicals like hydrogen peroxide, boric acid and antibiotics, that help increase mill’s shelf life, are harmful for human health. A recent report by the Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI) in Maharashtra said that 78 per cent of the milk samples tested were below FSSAI standards.

Many children become irritable, cranky, or aggressive. … Babies may exhibit colicky symptoms, whereas toddlers and older children may become inconsolable and irritable. Children with dairy allergies or intolerance also tend to suffer from frequent colds and ear infections.

So, it becomes necessary that we replace it with other sources. What are the foods that are rich in calcium besides milk?

Why do some people not want to drink milk?

  • Some people do not like the smell of milk, so they avoid drinking it.
  • People with Lactose Intolerance will have problems with digesting milk. Their body will resist milk. This is a hereditary problem.
  • Those who follow vegan diet will not eat or consume anything that has its source in an animal.
  • Having doubts regarding the quality of milk they get, will make some people stay away from it..

How dairy impacts your health

A cow drinks cow’s milk when it’s a baby. A bunny drinks bunny’s milk when it’s a baby. Beyond a certain age, even they know that it’s freaky to suckle. And do you ever see them switch and swap? The only time milk is essential for good health is when we are babies, being breastfed by human mothers.

Human breast milk is nature’s perfect formula for human babies. It’s rich in good fats like DHA for brain development, but it’s relatively low in protein.

Cow’s milk contains more than three times as much protein as breast milk. That’s because baby cows need a lot more protein. They grow to between 1,500 and 2,000 pounds. Is that your desired weight?

While the protein in human milk is designed for human bodies, much of the protein in cow’s milk is difficult for humans to digest. In addition, the over-consumption of this protein can lead to serious health conditions.

One of the professor emeritus of nutritional biochemistry at Cornell University, found that the protein that consistently creates and promotes cancer is casein, which makes up about 87 percent of the protein in cow’s milk. According to Professor a diet that contains more than 10 percent protein (that’s about 50 grams of protein if you’re consuming 2,000 calories per day) can lead to the little “c.”

Forget spooky, life-threatening diseases, let’s talk about simpler pickles. Ever pass a kidney stone? If you have, then you know that it’s incredibly painful— feels like shooting an elephant through your pee hole!

How about ,Gut inflammation, an inflammation blow-out sale? Both of these not-so-happy afflictions have been linked to dairy consumption.

Allergies, eczema, asthma, arthritis, inflammation, and zits can all be linked to dairy. What about skim milk or non fat milk? They’re just as bad.

For me, cheese and curd was the hardest thing to give up, but once I did, my Migraine HEADACHES DISAPPEARED . I also started to FEEL SO RELAXED.

How about tummy pain, gas and bloating? Well, there may be a good reason for your belly’s aching. According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, around 75 percent of the world’s adults can’t digest milk (they’re lactose-intolerant).

This article will provide a list of calcium-rich foods that come from non-dairy sources.

what IS CALCIUM EXACTLY !

What is calcium?

Calcium is a type of mineral. A Grown-up adult needs around 1000 to 1200mg of calcium a day. Though its needed quantity is much less, it is extremely important. Our body is not capable of manufacturing calcium on its own. So, we need to supplement it from external sources.

Why do we need calcium?

  • For growth of teeth and bones.
  • Proper functioning of nervous system
  • Improving muscle strength
  • Maintaining heart’s health
  • For proper functioning of various hormones in our body

Our body spends 99% of the calcium it gets to bones and teeth, a mere 1% is spent on other tasks.The body needs calcium which is stored in bones and teeth to carry out many functions. Besides giving us healthy bones and teeth, calcium help muscles move and helps nerves carry messages between the brain and other body parts. It also helps move blood through blood vessels.

CALCIUM is one of those minerals that always seem to concern us as a consumer, as an adult and as a parent. Why?

Calcium is a strong contributor to the strength and structure found in our bones and our teeth. Not only that, but it also helps maintain the heart’s rhythm, it ensures movement in our muscles and it assists transporting blood throughout our body.

Calcium plays a critical role in releasing hormones and enzymes that impact our body’s function which help prevent and control high blood pressure, reduce PMS symptoms and manage mineral levels found in our blood including magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. .

No wonder our parents kept insisting that we consume enough dairy as a source of calcium while growing up.

But, where will I get NON DAIRY CALCIUM?

This is probably the most frequently asked question when talking about going dairy-free. Good news!

Nature’s best calcium sources are dark leafy greens such as kale, collards, mustard greens, and turnip greens. The calcium in these foods is absorbed at double the rate of dairy calcium. About 30 percent of dairy calcium is absorbed whereas about 60 percent of calcium from dark leafy greens is absorbed. Other rich plant sources of calcium include beans, almonds, figs, and fortified non dairy milks such as unsweetened almond milk, oat milk, hemp milk, and rice milk.

Leafy Green Vegetables including Broccoli, bok choy, Chinese cabbage
Fish including sardines and canned fish (with bones)
Nuts and seeds including brazil nuts, almonds and tahini (sesame seed paste)
Calcium-fortified foods including breakfast cereals, fruit juices and bread Soy and tofu products if they are fortified with calcium. Look for at least 100mg calcium/100mL on the nutrient information panel.

Note: please prepare these milk at home itself..drink fresh prepared ones.Avoid tetra pack one’s.

When it comes to bone health, calcium isn’t the only factor. Overall diet and activity levels determine bone health and even calcium needs. Countries with the highest calcium intake have the most osteoporosis, so there’s obviously more to the bone-health story than calcium alone.

What Happens If There Is Too Less Calcium?

Calcium deficiency would trigger a multi-functional setback, given its critical role in the metabolism and maintenance of your body. Following are the symptoms of calcium deficiency or hypocalcaemia .

1.Numbness of fingertips and toes.
2.Muscle cramps
3.Convulsions
4.Lethargy
5.Poor appetite
6.Arrhythmia
7.Rickets (if coupled with vitamin D deficiency)
8.Random neuromuscular irritability.
9.Chronic renal failure
10.Pancreatitis
11.Cardiovascular disease.

To avoid such repercussions, it is best to have a balanced diet rich in calcium as well.

Why Vitamin D is responsible for calcium absorption ?

Here’s another helpful factoid, vitamin D—which is necessary for calcium absorption and is best obtained from 20 minutes of sunshine 3 times a week during summer months and fortified, nondairy foods or supplements during winter months—is now being considered the most important nutrient in bone health.

Kids need vitamin D to help the body absorb calcium. Without it, calcium can’t get where it needs to go to build strong bones.

Vitamin D isn’t in many foods that kids eat. Because of this, health care providers often recommend supplement

How much calcium can your body absorb at a time?

Your body can take up about 500 mg of calcium at a time. Although the daily requirement is approximately 1000-1200 mg, it is better to split the total into small doses of 500 mg across the day. This would ensure maximum absorption of calcium.

How do you determine the levels of calcium in your body?

Levels of calcium in your body can be determined by taking a simple blood test. It can help you diagnose calcium deficiency or calcium excess. The result indicates the amount of calcium circulating freely in the blood, but not that stored in bones.

The reference range for calcium in adults is 8.6 mg/dL to 10.2 mg/dL, and for children, it varies from lab to lab.

There are many foods that contain calcium, as well as many other wonderful vitamins and nutrients. Almonds and sesame seeds, which we give daily to DHRUVA are great sources of calcium.

So is collards, celery, avocados, onions, green beans, and asparagus. The lesser eaten prickly pear, okra, gooseberries and dandelion greens are also great sources of calcium.

Not only this calcium is great for our bones and helps to prevent osteoporosis, but it is also helpful in lowering high blood pressure.

Dairy, on the other hand, which most people think of as the needed source of calcium, actually causes mucus (which leads to respiratory problems) and is typically laden with hormones and pesticides from the cow feed.

Dairy is also acid-forming when metabolize and most dairy products are pasteurised to kill harmful bacteria but this process also kills the good vitamins, proteins, and enzymes. Research also leads dairy products with arthritis.

Choose better ways to get your calcium than through milk and dairy products. By eating lots of leafy greens and nuts you will also reap the many other benefits of these natural and delicious foods.

Beyond childhood, most people stop producing the enzyme lactase, which is needed to digest lactose (the sugar in milk). Yeah, your body thinks you should wean, too. I’ve never met someone who didn’t feel better once they removed dairy from their diet. Sorry folks, but all good things come to an end.

I used to think I knew how much you loved my brother and I. Before I had my Son, I think I took your love for granted. You were always there and willing to give us anything, but I never understood what you felt on the other end. I just knew how much I loved you and assumed your love for me was the same.I TOOK YOUR LOVE FOR GRANTED..

I LOVE YOU MOM AND BECAUSE …

I realize now that this isn’t completely true. Not until I became a mother myself could I TRULY understand how DEEP your LOVE RUNS for me. I understand that love now, how you would do anything to give us the BEST LIFE POSSIBLE, how you would give your life for us.

The reason I understand this is because it’s how I feel about my own Son now.

I look back and think about when I was four years old, the same age that when my Son is now. I think about where I am today and where you were. I know now how hard being a mother really is. I look back and think of all the pain you must have gone through because of us. I also understand why you couldn’t fall asleep until we got home once we were older and allowed to be out late. I understand why, to this day, you still want me to let you know when my flight lands if I’m traveling.

I think back to the times I would fight with you. I think about how you were always by my side, even during those times I put you through hell. I fight anxiety, depression and a past with breakup pain daily with in laws..and through all of it, you never gave up on me.

No matter what you were going through, you were so strong for us. You are truly one of the strongest people I know. I appreciate everything you’ve done.

I think now about how you must have felt the day I was born. The love and the joy you must have felt when you held me for the first time. It’s something I never could have imagined until having my own SON.

I just want to say now that I see you and I have a deeper appreciation for everything you have done for us.

I know that you have blamed yourself for the not-so-perfect moments. Moments where you remember getting mad at us, or being so upset and hurt throughout your FAMILY struggle that maybe you had days when you took out that anger on us. I truly hope you can forgive yourself and let that stuff go. I am learning now more than ever that there is no such thing as a “perfect” mom. We are human. However, you were as close to perfect as it gets.

What I want you to know is that these aren’t the things we remember. My memories of childhood are nothing short of incredible.I remember knowing that you were always there for us. I remember awesome birthday parties you used to throw for us.

DRYFRUIT DATES BARFI (NO SUGAR) By Sneha Narayan

It’s vvgood for our kids as sugar is not allowed them to eat.But BELIVE me this stuff is awesome without sugar itself..let hop in how to mak

I have not grinded DRYFRUIT intentionally as our kids need to chew all the food so keep dry fruits in small size but make sure they chew and eat..

Ingredients to make dry fruit dates Barfi..

Dates – 400 grams (2 cup)

Walnuts – 50 grams (½ cup)

Cashews – 50 grams (½ cup)

Almonds – 50 grams (½ cup)

coconut – 25 grams (½ cup) (grated) fresh preferably

Pistachios – 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Chironji (optional)– 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Poppy seeds – 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Nutmeg – 1/2 half

Green cardamom – 6-7

2 spoon refined Sundrop oil..

Instructions how to make..

Cut each cashew into 6-7 small chunks and likewise chop each almond making 7-8 small chunks. Similarly, chop walnuts as well and place everything in a bowl.

Slice the pistachios into thin pieces. Peel the green cardamom and crush its seeds along with nutmeg into fine powder using mortar pestle.

Note nutmeg in v small quantity OTHERWISE whole Barfi will smell too much .

Roughly chop the dates using a knife and discard their seeds. Place them in a bowl.

Place a pan on flame and add chopped cashews, almonds and walnuts into it. Keep stirring constantly and roast them for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Then transfer them in a bowl. Place the pan back on flame and pour some oil into it. When the oil is hot add poppy seeds into it. Stir it continuously and roast it for 2 minutes on low flame.

Once the poppy seed turns fragrant, add nutmeg-green cardamom powder, chopped dates, roasted chopped dry fruits, grated coconut fresh and chironji ( optional)into it. Keep the flame on low and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

When everything is mixed well, turn off the flame and transfer the mixture on a plate so that it cools down quickly.

Grease the hand with some oil and pinch some mixture. Roll it out into cylindrical shape by pressing it with both the hands. Coat the barfi with some sliced pistachios and place it on a plate. Likewise, prepare the rest of the barfis until the mixture is utilized completely.

Now take an aluminium foil piece and place a barfi on it. Wrap it up nicely. Similarly, wrap the rest of the barfis and place them in refrigerator for 2 hours to set. After 2 hours, barfis will set aptly.

Unwrap the barfis and cut them into ½ cm thick barfi. Place them on a plate. Khajur dry fruits barfis are now ready.

Serve these mouth-watering and tantalizing khajur dry fruits barfi after any meal as a dessert or have them whenever you crave for something sweet. Keep the barfis in open for 2-3 hours then store them in an air-tight container and relish eating for up to 3-4 months.

So everyone enjoy the Barfi

Since it’s now 1.5 months I have been writing blogs on Autism and working with parents

I was eagerly waiting who will ask this question on my group. first dose who have name this problem Autism they only say that these emotional outbursts are called Tantrums

First those who have named this problem as Autism they make us believe that the child is crying because he is throwing TANTRUMS and later this immense TANTRUM turn out to an EMOTIONAL MELTDOWN.Believe me your perception towards your kids will change after reading this article.its my personal story and our journey.

Tantrum is pure mischief kids do to attain parents attention.we give them the things they want in-spite of the fact that they cannot speak they calm down but MELTDOWN is a problem to worry about..

WHAT IS MELTDOWN IN MY TERMS!!!!

A meltdown is ‘an intense response to overwhelming situations’.

FOR PARENTS ITS DISTRESSING, PAINFUL BOTH FOR A KIDS AND PARENTS AND EMBRACING FOR PARENTS. It happens when someone becomes completely overwhelmed by their current situation and temporarily loses behavioral control.This loss of control can be expressed verbally (eg SHOUTING, SCREAMING, CRYING), physically (eg KICKING, lashing out, PINCHING, BITING, HAND FLAPPING,HEAD BANGING,) or in both way.
MELTDOWN

  • IS NOT A BEHAVIOR
  • IS NOT A TANTRUM
  • IS NOT A CHOICE

MELTDOWN are of two types I say:

HAPPY MELTDOWN

its a condition where in kids are excited and jump and laugh and sometimes cry out of happiness or excitement.NOT to worry for this kind of meltdown.handle these SITUATION with unconditional love.

SENSORY MELTDOWN..

When a person experiences too much sensory stimulation, their central nervous system is overwhelmed and unable to process all of the input. It’s a physiological ‘traffic jam’ in your central nervous system and the sensory over stimulation causes a physiological response and sometimes even a sensory meltdown. Because many children with autism are unable to self-regulate, sensory overload can result in sensory-based meltdowns.THERE MIND IS BUSY IN REGULATING PROBLEMS ARISING IN THERE BODY DUE TO ADULTERATED FOOD.SO THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND OUR DEMANDS AS PARENTS FROM THEM..THEY ARE IN PAIN HELP THEM COME OUT OF THIS SITUATION.

QUESTION COMES WHY THESE BEHAVIOR,TANTRUM OR MELTDOWN (SENSORY OVERLOAD)ARISE IN KIDS ???

Since the “VATA Dosha” in the body is high of almost all the autistic kids and they are not able to express their feelings verbally they express these through meltdown or tantrums. Other behaviors that we see in our kids but are less explosive but are equally common, such as refusing to interact, withdrawing from situations they find challenging, or avoiding them altogether,repetitive behavior,toe walking,no eye contact,no respond to name ,problem in nail and hair cutting,putting things in mouth,closing there ears due to sound,closing there eyes due to light,etc there is a long list of these behaviors…

Am i right all the kids behave in some or the other manner like this ????All these problems are due to increased VATA Dosha in the kids body.TODAY will explain you this point of TANTRUM and MELTDOWN through my story or u can say my journey to overcome AUTISM in my SONS LIFE.
My own son used to cry like 14 hours in a day and I was so much into depression I used to ask the doctor and Therapist and they just had only one answer ‘ TANTRUM THROW KAR RAHA HAI APKA BACCHA APNE ZIDD MANWANE KE LIYEA KOI PROBLEM NAHI HAI USE YE TO BUS NATAK HAI ” o my god after listening these words again and again I thought that yes my child just keeps on throwing tantrums whole day,he just wants to go things his way but BELIEVE ME this was the biggest mistake I did that I thought this way.
Thinking ,till date today I am very GUILTY because I am the mom of my child still I believed these people saying that he is just throwing tantrums and it is just he want things to be done in his ways after reading this story of mine you will be proud to think that the kids of ours detected with Autism are in deep pain 😥

I am telling these things to you parents because I want you to know and understand what is MELTDOWN and TANTRUM please read it very carefully.Writing this story in HINDI as many have requested me to do so.Will later publish this article in ENGLISH ALSO..KIDS MELTDOWN BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU ARE THERE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.

We could not afford to go to any of the places,no outings ,no mall,no where.We both His dad and I are travel freaks by road. “Car uthao aur Nikal jate they 15 days par India..tour but jab mere bete ko ye problems shuru huei to hamara SAB jagah Jana band ho Gaya Na ghumne ,na mall,na MOVIE THEATRE..24hrs just staying at home listening him cry cry and cry whole day..

AP SAB KO SHAYAD BELIEIVE HO YA NA HO JAB MERE BETA HONE WALA THA TO HUM DONO KO MOVIE DEKHNA THEATRE MAY JA KAR BHUT PASAND THE..
But ye bhi malum that ke bacche ke AJ Jane ke Baad to 4 saal ye possible nahi Hoga theatre ja kar movie dekhna to hum us samay jab beta hone wala tha to naye ghar par shift hone wale they to humne is ghar ka interior nahi Kara ke 8 lakhs kharch karke ghar par he projector screen. Ka setup kar dala RECLINER CHAIRS ,BOSE home theatre etc..

Dekha bhi projector par movies jab beta 1.5yra tak ka tha to usi ke saath dekhte they..but fir usko adat lagne lagi.har samay Dhruva Ko projector he chahiyea tha hame Laga itne bade screen may dekhega to uske EYES KHARAB HO jayenge to decide Kiya ke chalo projector band aur TV he dikhate hai.

Humne decide Kiya tha ke TV dikhana hai to sirf EDUCATIONAL he dekhega jaise ke RHYMES, ABCD, Number’s,etc. every new parent of our generation has this thinking..kabhi bhi kuch aur nahi dikhaya..Ab ghar par ye scene tha ke bus din may 3 se 4 ghante TV he dekh raha tha beta.Subah ke do ghante Mai bhi aaram se kaam kar leti the cooking anh household chores bete ko TV ke samne baitha ke aur MATLAB mere mentality aise ho Gaye the ke kuch bhi kaam hai bete ko shan’t Rakhna hai to TV ke samne baitha do.fir kya wo shan’t aur bus karo Sara kaam.. ye hum sare parents karte hai I am sure ..
“PATA HAI IS BAAT KO ACCEPT KARNE KE LIYE BAHUT GUTS CHAHIYE PARENTS KO KI HUM APNE COMFORT LEVEL KE LIYE BACCHO KO TV KE SAMNE BAITHA DETE HAI, mobile de dete hain. HAME LAGTA HAI KI TV DEKHTE HUEA BACCHA TO KHUSH HAI TO SARE KAAM NIPTA LO.”YAHAN TAK KI HAAL AISA HO GAYA THA KI BETA MERA BINA TV DEKH KE KHANA BHI NAHI KHATA THA.BUT KHANA KHATA THA AUR JAISE HE TV BAND SARA KHANA BAHAR VOMIT KAR DETA THA..

I am sure ye problems yahan most of the parents nay face ke hongi..

But fir jab mera beta 2.2 ka hua Aur usme autistic features Aane Lage Toh Phir Wo TV Ko Apne pain se correlate kar liya.Jab bhi meltdown hota pain se scream karke rota to TV ke samne Baitha dete poems on karke to khush ho jata tha SAB Rona, screaming,legs kicking ,head banging SAB band ho jata tha..
To hame Laga ye SAB TANTRUMS hai Jaan brooch kar karta hai ye SAB..

Aisa karta hai baccha and believe me maine in batton par yakeen kar liya ..YE MERE LIFE KA SABSE BADE GALTI THE YE KE EK MA HOKAR MAI APNE BACCHE KO SAMJHD NAHI PAYE..
Aur jaise jaise din beete rahe akele ek time Aya ke TV DEKH KAR BHI BETA SHANT NAHI HO RAHA THA 😭😭😭😭AB TO PROBLEM AUR BADH GAYE..KAISE HANDLE KARUN MAI ISKO.YE THA MELTDOWN SITUATION WHOLE DAY CRYING ,SCRACHING,BITING , HITTING ,HEAD BANGING, THROWING THINGS 😭😭.Mujhe itna to pata tha ke ye SAB natural nahi hai kuch to galat ho Raha hai BACCHE ke saath..but kya ye samajh may nahi aa Raha tha..to thak ke ekdin.

Finally I GAVE UP ,maine Rishi Ko call Kiya ship par aur bola ke nahi Hoga mujhse I cannot handle our son..mujhe uska ye din bhar Rona bardash nahi hai yaar ghar aajao jao…I was begging him to come home and handle both of us..Immediately Rishi nay company may baat ke aur 2din Baad ghar aa Gaye contract HALF may he chor kar..
Other side mere mom bhi mere din raat rone se pareshan the coz din raat Mai unko phone par ye SAB batati the..
She is an advocate by profession. Aur Mumma ka ek stationery aur Xerox ka acha khasa running shop tha.She left whole shop with staff and came Immediately to my home.
Ab hum teeno mil kar bhi bete ka ye SAB problems nahi solve kar pa rehen they..wo din bhar RESTLESS REHTA THA ,CRYING ,KHANA NAHI KHANA , HEAD BANGING ,SCRATCHING,PINCHING, JUMPING…2 hours restless..

ITNA RESTLESSNESS aur HYPERAVTIVITY BADH GAYA KE TRAMPOLINE may 2 ghante nonstop jump karta tha ..Fir hame ye Laga chalo TV se to calm down nahi ho Raha to BUNJEE se ho Raha hai use accha lagne Laga to Rishi immediately Gaye aur hum EK TRAMPOLINE ghar par he le aye.SAME AS THE BELOW PICTURE.

Itna bada trampoline ghar le aye ghar ke bahar lift ke pass Rakha tha.
Hum teen mil kar nahi Sambhal pa rehen they ek 3yrs ke Bachche KO ..

To beta bhut khush rehne Laga atleast Laga ke chalo TV se to bahar Aya but kya pata tha ke ye nahi musibat le aye hai ghar..ab wo HYPER ACTIVE ke TARAF BADH raha tha..aur ye sare symptoms jaise ke cryig, screaming head banging scratching kicking pinching irritated restless rehna ke saath ab hyperactive bhi.

Three therapy class in one day and he was just tired of performing there ,I use to get up early Sara khana Bana kar 9 “o” clock ready to go for therapy class all day.THERAPY KE CHAKKAR MAY NO SCHOOL ALSO.STOPPED SENDING HIM SCHOOL ALSO.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLASS

OT may he was not willing to do physical exercise as his muscle tone was v low use to get tired very Soon but tharapist use to make him do all task jitna bhi roye bus karna he hai.SHE USES TO TELL ME THIS IS HIS TANTRUM TO ESCAPE THE TASK AND I USE TO THINK THAT SHE IS CORRECT WE SHOULD FORCE HIM TO COMPLETE THE TASK AND SHOULD NOT LET HIM ESCAPE THE TASK KEPT INFRONT OF HIM.

OCCUPATIONAL therapy may tunnel aur baki SAB heavy exercise jo bilkul nahi advised hai in chote baccho ke liyea aur my poor boy was forced to do all these ye kitna galat hai heavy exercise chote kids Ko Karana IS NOT ADVISABLE TILL THE AGE OF 5 YEARS .THIS I GOT TO KNEW WHEN I joined PUNE Running club.

Non of my trainers advised me to to make him do those heavy exercise these therapist use to make him do.They just told me to taken him walking,running and trekking that’s it for 5yrs of age then start with strength training and other sports activity.Dhruva is always doing” SHEERSHASANA” SO JUST ONE WEEK BACK WE TOOK HIM TO GYMNASTICS STADIUM NEAR MY HOUSE ,THE TEACHER WAS NOT READY TO TALK AT FIRST HE SAID COME TO ME WHEN HE IS 5YRS OF AGE TOO SMALL FOR ALL THIS.
THEN SPEECH THERAPY CLASS
Bolo apple bole Banana,orange bolo car bolo”FOR 45 MINUTES he used to get pissed off so much ke bus poocho mat.IN 6 months of therapy I changed 3 speech therapist non of them told me about MOUTH MASSAGE.ONE THERAPIST JO PUNE KE BHUT RENOWNED THERAPIST TOOK 1000 RS FOR ASSESSMENT AUR EK LAMBA LIST DE DIYA MOUTH EXERCISE KA JAISE BLOWING SUCKING SIPPING ETC agar ye SAB mujhe ATA Dhuruva Ko kaise sikhana hai to Mai use is therapist ke pass Kyun le jati.BIG question??

Naam nahi lete hai but Haan ye wo therapist hai jiska khud ka 16 YRS ka autistic baccha hai THAT LADY nay mere bete ko chocolates aur biscuits ka ADDICT Bana diya tha.IS SEVERE AUTISM SITUATION MAY BHI usnay bete ko MATCHING sikha diya CHOCOLATE DE DE KAR . Mai bhut khush HO GAYI wo MOTHER TURNED THERAPIST BHAGWAN ban Gaye mere liyea but kaise sikhati the ek byte chocolate aur

Naubat to yaha tak the ke Mai Pschycartist ke pass bhi pauch Gaye medicine Lene DEPRESSION ka but us samay yahi yaad aata that ke agar medicine shuru kiya depression ka to mere bete ka kya Hoga coz ek friend ka dekha that usnay medicines le aur 2saal sirf sote Rehti the….mujhe Laga ke agar ye Liya maine to Mai bhi do saal soyungi aur bete ka jaisa ke SAB Bolte hai 5saal tak he BRAIN ka development hota hai to socha ke tab to ye kabhi bhi thik nahi ho payega..

Baat Kiya ja ke use mummy se to unhone bataya ke wo Apne BACCHE KO jab 1.5 yrs ka tha aur doctor’s Autistic bole ..( unka itni jaldi isliyea detection hua coz unka already ek bada beta tha jab cheezen normal nahi dikhi to wo doctor ke pass Gaye aur doctor autism nay 1.5 yrs may he AUTISM BOL DIYA…)..but kyunki bhut chota tha aur shuru se he GFCFSF diet par tha to is BACCHE may autistic feature bhut Kam they aur sab control ho Gaya aur baccha bhut jaldi thik ho Gaya THIS LADY NAY HUME BATAYA KE usnay sirf GFcfsf diet se thik Kiya BACCHE KO..But still unko ye nahi pata the ke MUSCLE TONE kya Hoti hai.unke bete ke muscle tone par kaam nahi hua tha to uske body parts kafi loose hai but now even she has started doing these massage and improving.

This was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I did In My life.then read these lines somewhere realized that if i work hard for these 2 yrs ahead then life long will be easy so decided to work day and night on my kid to lessen his pain and ultimately our pain.

A1 and A2 are the two types of known cow milk available for consumption which are generic variant of the beta-casein milk protein that differ by one amino acid .All milk was once of the A2 type, until a genetic mutation occurred thousands of years ago in some European cattle. The A1 beta-casein type is the most common type found in cow’s milk in Europe (excluding France), the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Cows that have the mutated beta casein are called A1 cows and include breeds like Holstein.

Our ‘desi’ cows fall under the A2 category. In 2011, the Indian scientists at the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR) proclaimed that the A2 allele gene in Indian milk breeds of cows and buffalos are 100 per cent, while in foreign breeds, it is around 60 per cent. New Zealand farmers have stopped cross breeding of A2 milk producing cows with A1 milk producing European breeds of cows. A2 milk is now considered the only safe and desirable milk fit for human consumption and is being sold across Australia, Japan and Korea and USA.

Why then, in India, at a time when scientists are extolling the virtues of the A2 variant of milk produced by our “desi” cows and shunning the A1 variant of milk produced by the European breeds, the National Diary Development Board [NDDB] continues to import Holstein bulls known for the A1 variant of milk?

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A1 AND A2 MILK..

A1 and A2 proteins affect the body differently.

When A1 protein is digested in the small intestine, it produces a peptide called beta-casomorphin-7 (BCM-7). The intestines absorb BCM-7, and it then passes into the blood. Doctors have linked BCM-7 to stomach discomfort and symptoms similar to those experienced by people with lactose intolerance.

The structure of A2 protein is more comparable to human breast milk, as well as milk from goats, sheep, and buffalo.

A1 vs A2 Cows Milk: What’s the Difference, Benefits, & Nutrition

There is an ongoing debate about the nutritional value of both A1 and A2 milk.

Growing number of studies from top milk-producing countries Australia, New Zealand, and some European nations enumerate the benefits of A2 milk and the health risks associated with continuous consumption of A1 milk.This article will look at the differences between A1 and A2 milk, as well as available evidence that support the A1 vs A2 debate.

A2 beta-casein is protein found in milk produced by ‘old-fashioned’ cows like the Jersey, Charolais, Guernsey, and Limousin. Milk produced by other mammals such as those from human, goat, and sheep is similar to A2 dairy milk mainly due to the presence of proline .
A1 is considered a genetic mutation that results in the production of the compound BCM7 assumed to be causing the development of unwanted health conditions and illnesses among consumers.

When Did the A1 Mutation Start?

The A1 gene mutation began hundreds of years ago from Holstein cow breed that was then passed onto other breeds .This mutation of the A1 beta-casein proved to be highly beneficial to dairy farmers who wanted to increase milk production without the added costs. A2 milk is found in milk and dairy products produced by older cow breeds, have not been manipulated in any way.Thus many regard it as the better type of casein protein. It is found in milk we consume along with A1 milk.

A2 milk is produced by A2 Milk Company, and contains no A1 beta-casein.The difference between A1 and A2 is in the amino acid chain numbers.At this position, A2 features proline whilst A1 is linked with This mutation in the amino acid chain link of A1 milk is supposed to cause adverse effects in humans, whilst making A2 milk the healthier option.

What is BCM7?

BCM7 (Beta-casomorphin-7), an opioid peptidein A1 beta-casein is produced as a result of the breaking off of histidine in the number 67 amino acid chain during digestion .

BCM7 is the reason why regular cow’s milk is considered to be a less healthy option than milk containing A2 beta-casein. BCM7 found in A1 milk is known to have opioid or narcotic side effects and is identified to be the culprit of lactose intolerance in 1 out 4 Americans.The absorption of BCM7 into the bloodstream leads to the high incidence of autism, schizophrenia, and other neurological disorder.

Despite extensive and ongoing research, the extent of BCM-7 absorption into the bloodstream still remains unknown.Studies reveal that BCM-7 is absent in the blood of healthy adults, whilst presence of BCM-7 in infants is a possibility .
The presence of BCM7 in A1 milk makes it a less attractive dairy option due to the problems that are assumed to develop as a result of consumption of A1 milk.

Is There a Direct Relationship Between A1 Milk and Autism?

Autism is a developmental disorder characterized by disabilities including problems with social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviors.

It was theorized that BCM-7 plays a crucial role in the development of autism in children.Although there have been numerous studies trying to link A1 milk to autism, there are still no solid proof that can verify this hypthesis.In a study conducted by Russian researchers, high amounts of BCM-7 were found in the urine of infants with autism that were fed with milk formula.Over time, there were infants that showed the ability to metabolize BCM-7 at a fast rate, whilst there are those who showcased inability to process and excrete BCM-7 and other peptides altogether.

The study also reveals that those who were fed with formula milk exemplified delayed psychomotor development as well as high levels of BCM-7 in their bloodstream.

On the other hand, infants with autism that were breastfed or those under Gluten-free, Casein-free or GFCF diet displayed more developmental improvements with no traces of BCM-7 in their bloodstream .Due to some observation from these studies, there are some nutritionists who have started recommending parents of children with autism to start supplementing their diets with A2 milk.

Making the switch from common A1 milk to A2 milk is supposed to be beneficial for child afflicted with autism.Major improvements have been observed among children who regularly consume A2 milk sourced from Guernsey cows due to its high A2 beta casein at 95%.

Those who opted to provide their children with A2 milk also reported improvement in digestive function, communication skills, and eye contact.there is no alternative to milk..

Another study reveals that drinking cow’s milk over time may potentially exacerbate the symptoms among children with autism.There are also studies that showed that drinking A1 or A2 milk has no effect on overall behaviour .With autism, there are more than one cause to its development.Despite numerous studies that link autism symptoms to A1 milk consumption, researchers still need to find out more solid connections for the negative effects of A1 milk among children with autism.

Risk of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is an autoimmune disease that typically develops in children. The illness is characterized by the inability of the body to produce insulin.Based on epidemiological evidence, the consumption of A1 milk is a contributing factor in the increased risk of development diabetes type 1 among children .Human breast milk contains A2 beta-casein only whereas pasteurized milk formulations may either contain A1/A1 beta-casein or A1/A2 beta casein.

Does A1 Milk Harm Your Heart?

According to New Zealand research conducted by CNS McLachlan, the regular intake of common milk containing A1 beta-casein inspires the development of coronary heart disease .

Does A1 Milk Cause SIDS?

The most common cause of death in infants less than one year of age is identified to be Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS.It is unexpected infant death without clear or visible cause (28).Some researchers hypothesized that BCM-7 from A1 beta-casein may be the culprit in some cases of SIDs.

As some mothers may opt to breastfeed their babies up to 2 years of age, there are also those who prefer to provide their newborns with instant milk formulations instead .In one study, high levels of BCM-7 in the bloodstream were found among infants suffering from sleep apnea or temporary breathing patterns during sleep.Sleep apnea has been linked to an increased incidence of SIDS (15).

BCM-7 penetration into a newborn’s central nervous system may potentially inhibit normal respiratory system functioning as evidenced by abnormal respiratory breathing, hypoxia, and excessive levels of carbon dioxide resulting in sudden death .

Results obtained from these studies also tell us that some children may be suffering from hypersensitivity issues to A1 beta-casein in cow’s milk.

Is A1 Milk the Major Cause of Lactose Intolerance?

Based on studies, 1 in 4 Americans suffer from lactose intolerance – the inability if the digestive system to process milk resulting in the development of unpleasant symptoms such as stomach upsets, diarrhea, flatulence, and bloating to name a few.

A1 and A2 milk feature the same lactose concentrations.The makers of A2 milk contend that lactose is not the real suspect for the development of lactose intolerance, but a mutation caused by A1 beta-casein, a compound found in store-brought milk and dairy products.Some researchers say drinking A2 milk causes less digestive issues than milk containing A1 beta-casein .

Studies that support these claims reveal that apart from lactose, there are other milk components that bring about unwanted digestive problems.It was also suggested by scientists that certain proteins present in milk may be the major suspects in some cases of milk intolerance.

A Request to Indian Government…to save cow..

Why does our Indian Government, continue with its program of animal breeding and development policies that target the replacement and supposed “up-gradation” of our indigenous breeds with exotic Holstein Friesians and Jerseys, imported from Australia and the US?

India has about 37 pure cattle breeds. Five of these — Sahiwal, Gir, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar and Rathi — are known for their milking prowess. A few others, such as Kankrej, Ongole and Hariana, belong to dual breeds that have both milch and draught qualities. The rest are pure draught breeds.

It is observed that when official data records the average yield of indigenous cows as 2.2 kg daily, it clubs these dual breeds and non-dairy draught breeds together with the five top milch breeds and so undermines the performance of India’s best milch cows, such as Girs and Rathis — while establishing supremacy of the exotic cattle. Over the years, this has justified a policy that discards Indian milch breeds to promote exotic hybrids. First we blame our cows for low milk yield without considering the field constraints. Then we replace those cows with exotic breeds that are more vulnerable to the same constraints. The sheer fatality of exclusively promoting exotic cattle over “desi” cattle is much evident.

The 12th Five-year plan (2012-2017) continues to lend official status to the Government’s exercise of increasing productivity of milch animals by importing foreign breeds for insemination and cross-breeding. Are we hurtling towards an impending disaster? We fear for the future of our children.

Meanwhile, our desi breeds keep setting new records abroad. The flourishing of our Gir cattle in Brazil is sufficient proof of how ‘desi’ cows can perform with adequate support and care.

On the one hand, our new Government is promoting the “Make in India” policy, while on the other hand, it’s “Import” Policy in respect of Live Stock is steadily destroying our superior breed of ‘desi’ cows.

IMPORTANCE OF COW IN INDIAN CULTURE…

Millions of people revere and worship cows.people raise the status of Mother to the level of Goddess. Therefore, the cow is considered a sacred animal, as it provides us life sustaining milk. The cow is seen as a maternal figure, a care taker of her people. The cow is a symbol of the divine bounty of earth.

Lord Krishna, one of the most well known of the Hindu deities is often depicted playing his flute amongst cows and dancing Gopis (milkmaids). He grew up as a cow herder. Krishna also goes by the names Govinda and Gopala, which literally mean “friend and protector of cows.” It is considered highly auspicious for a true devotee to feed a cow, even before eating breakfast oneself.

Throughout the Vedic scriptures there are verses which emphasize that the cow must be protected and cared for. It is considered a sin to kill a cow and eat its meat. Even today in India, there are many states in which the slaughter of cows is illegal. That is why you can find cows roaming freely all over India, even along the busy streets of Delhi and Mumbai.

Ayurveda is a big proponent of the sattvicqualities of milk and dairy products. That is why most Hindus are vegetarian, but not vegan. Fresh, organic milk, yogurt, buttermilk, paneer (homemade cheese) and ghee, are all considered highly nutritious, and an important part of the diet. Not only do these dairy products provide important protein and calcium for our tissues, but are sources of Ojas,which gives our body strength and immunity.

Besides their milk, cows also provide many practical purposes, and are considered a real blessing to the rural community. On the farm, bulls are used to plough the fields and as a means of transportation of goods. Even Lord Shiva’s trusted vehicle is Nandi– the sacred bull.

Cow dung is saved and used for fuel, as it is high in methane, and can generate heat and electricity. Many village homes are plastered with a mud/cow dung mixture, which insulates the walls and floors from extreme hot and cold temperatures. Cow dung is also rich in minerals, and makes an excellent fertilizer. There is a big organic farming movement in India to return to ancient methods of utilizing cow dung to re-mineralize the depleted soil.

In such a spiritual land as India, one can find religious ceremonies taking place at any time and any place. Spiritual “yagnas” are fire ceremonies that performed to thank the Gods and receive their blessings. Cows even play a central role in these fire yagnas or Agnihotras. Scientific research has found that the ritual of burning cow dung and ghee as fuel for these sacred fires, actually purifies the air, and has anti-pollutant and anti-radiation qualities in the environment.

Ayurveda understands that some physical and emotional health crisis can not be healed by diet and herbs alone. They need the deeper and subtler healing of these types of Vedic ritual ceremonies to clear astrological past karma. The holy cow again offers its bounty by providing the ingredients in the Panchamrit, or blessed drink, that is distributed after the ceremony. Panchamrit translates as “sacred ambrosia” or “nectar of the gods” and is made up of 5 items – milk, yogurt, ghee, honey and sugar. By drinking this sweet prasadam, one is infused with the divine energy created during the puja, and is healed.
The Indian breeds of cows are a crucial part of the country’s ecological heritage. In the past, these breeds were developed in different parts of the subcontinent by selecting the best animals for their preferred traits such as milking capacity, draught power, feeding requirements, capacity to adapt to local weather, immunity, etc. The purity of such breeds was maintained with great discipline and wisdom in each breeding tract.

However, since the sixties, in a bid to increase the production of cow milk, the Indian Government has resorted to “cross-breeding” by using foreign bulls and semen. How damaging this has been is evident from the gradual extinction of our low-maintenance, superior and enduring variety of native breed of cows. Instead, we are now confronted with the progressive creation of expensive hybrids that require air-conditioned stalls, costly feed and medical care.

“Devil in the Milk” by Dr. Keith Woodford, an internationally published book, a ground-breaking product of extensive research, is an eye-opener. It examines the link between a protein in the A1 type of milk produced by many cows in the United States and North European countries and a range of serious illnesses including diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis, sudden infant death syndrome, neurological impairment, autistic and schizophrenic changes.

Our culture is like our blood. Just as blood plays a crucial role in our physical functioning, cultural plays a crucial role in our social functioning. Just as we often notice our blood only when we start losing it due to a wound, we often notice our culture only when we start losing it due to an invading culture. Just as we may not even notice the loss of blood if the wound is subtle or internal, many people don’t even notice the loss of culture when the invading culture wounds subtly by changing their internal values. Just as we need an x-ray vision to recognize the reality and gravity of the loss of blood, people need an intellectual x-ray vision to recognize the reality and gravity of the loss of culture.

What is happening in India today is nothing short of cultural genocide: clinical and total suppression or annihilation of native religion, language, dress, food, customs and symbols. Unlike other forms of genocide, where the victims resist and retaliate, cultural genocide often transforms its intended victims into its intentional instruments through value-perverting media like ads, billboards and commercials. These media window-dresses and dubs this cultural genocide as progress. Consequently, people embrace as symbols of progress the trappings of the invading materialistic culture: the skimpy dresses, the gaudy trinkets, the noisy musicals, the smutty gossips, and the JUNKY FOOD.The Bhagavad-gita (16.8-9) points to this self-chosen tragedy when it outlines how the ungodly become misled into celebrating untrammeled materialism as welcome progress. Those thus misled neglect and reject as regressive outside-in approaches to cultural protection like moralizing or moral policing.

Just as the cultural genocide worked inside-out, the cultural revival needs to work inside-out. This inside-out approach begins with urging people to undertake an intellectual introspection of their identity and destiny.we are dying bodies struggling in vain to satisfy our craving minds. This gloomy prognosis is becoming evident in the chilling statistics of depression, addiction, suicide, divorce and youth delinquency that inevitably haunt materialistic cultures.

DOES REAL A2 MILK EXISTS???

Updating this paragraph after one month of writing this article.

One parent asked me on my group Can we give A2 milk to my kid ..??

Amit not sure of milk as me and my husband have visited 3 cattle places near our home that places claimS to give pure A2 milk around 100 RS kg but have seen 1 jersey and 10 or 20 desi cow,they for sure mix..both MILK as jersey gives 10 TO 20 litres a day and our desi gives just 2 to 3 litres a day.

There are more factors what Medicine they give to cow. Have seen some sulphuric NITRATE Content medicine AND INJECTIONS for desi cow too..

So pata nahi baby ke body may ja ke kya asar karega..
I was giving milk since last 10 days but I saw changes happening Dhruva thoda hyperactive lagne Laga mujhe so ab to soch liya hai no milk for him..
And I haven’t given him milk for like those 8 months of his recovery.

So NO MILK OF ANY KIND IN DIET. AS JAISE GULTEN FREE ATA NAHI HOTA WAISE PURE A2 milk nahi hota for me..rest your choice..Amit..

If u can keep desi cow at your home and do not give them injection and harmful medicines and feed them grass , if feasible then surely u can give milk to your kid.

come on mommies get charged up and geared up and make the move…

Sinhagad Trek..Best way to give Occupational therapy to Autistic kids…..

Today 5am went to Singhagard fort with Dhruva and Rishi and all my Pune Running club ..family..

Parents of all the kids out there its beneficial for both kids either autistic or hyperactive kids..Its the best possible way to channelize there energy in this direction…kids enjoy a lot ..just start early and it alao helps in family bonding..so pack ur bags,have plenty of drinking water,some lemon sugar water,caps,sunglasses, first aid kit for safety..put on your shoes and go early..come out of ur comfort zone that’s important…

Parents going through Autism pain will definitely benefit from trekking…will be midst nature,bonding between kid and parents..child extra energy get diverted in best direction as all his muscles get activated and most important brain focuses on specific muscles ..its a best BRAIN GYM exercise,natural joint compression,kids get tired so sleep pattern improves…only benefits free of cost…as all of us have spent lumsum amount on therapies…

Today Dhruva could climb 75% of the trek up and down hill total 6.2 km..all the parents just with your kids start with small hill 1km up down …never force your kid especially Autistic kid to perform.They should never feel overdone…Dhruva expressed that he could not climb ,we were just 800 mt away from summit still Rishi and i decided to come down as coming down too requires lot of energy… so enjoy till the child is comfortable…

During the darkest days don’t give-up; stand up once again when your faith is shaken”, and the most important part – “Believe in our child competence”

My son was 7.5 month premature baby weighing 1400gm suffering from RDS spent 34 days in NICU and ventilator. A day came in the hospital wherein he stopped breathing and had to do surgery in the side of the lungs to give artificial respiration through ventilator. The Doctors, we and the baby fought back with courage and determination so that we could bring him back from the hospital to the home. And then came the day when we bought him to the home. His first touch and feel gave me such a satisfaction, joy, pride, relief and a close companion.

Babies are like Sun that bring warmth, happiness and light into our lives in such a magical way. Time passed and he made my love stronger, day’s shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, apart forgotten and feel worth living for.

My son was a healthy infant and met his developmental milestones until approximately 2yrs of age when we observed that his development was a bit slower. He was not responding to his name. People used to tell the boys generally have delayed speech. He was good at gross and fine motors but had speech delay. By the age of 2.5 yrs we witnessed strong regression in language and behaviour after a heavy sickness. Since he cannot speak he used to cry a lot whenever he could not explain anything. We as a parent were distressed seeing his restlessness, hyperactivity, cry and developmental delays.

We met many doctors and they recommended speech therapy, occupational therapy. Without any further delays, we started the therapies. We also researched almost all fields allopathic, homeopathy, ayurvedic treatment, aroma therapy, massage therapy, crystal therapy and Reiki ( as we are both Reiki Masters). We even requested Principal ma’am that our son needs some time off from the school so that we could extensively carry out all the therapies, who was always there to support us whatever we needed for the Child’s development. We also discussed with other parents who were facing similar problems.

So, we took a leave from the school and dedicated our whole time for our child’s development. We started GFCFSF diet and went preservative free and initiated intense therapies noting down everyday’s diary for the kid to observe his development very closely. Days were hectic, and after seeing regular ups and down. With 3-4 hrs of daily massage, 1 hour of exercise, 2-3 hours of sitting/learning activity we found that he is now responding and feeling much less restless as he was able to explain his needs in a better way than before. With joint compressions his muscle tone also started improving.

Time passed and about 3-4 month later we decided that now the child needs his mates company. So we decided to resume his schooling. And the day when he resumed his school, Principal Ma’am and his teachers were so surprised to see the change. He has improved eye contact, responding his name and following commands. Even he is comfortable with the teachers and his friends. Earlier he used to cry while going to school and now he is bringing his bag himself to go to school and happily goes to the school. He is happy now and less restless. He has not yet started speaking fully but has started few words and we are very confident that very soon he will be speaking too. A lot of thanks to Principal ma’am, Archana Ma’am and the teachers for their help and support.

This was all possible due to the positive approach and dedication. Parent must enjoy their parenthood. Keep on pouring unconditional love and care upon your children whatever the situations. Respect your freedom and choice. Parent should come together and with their love and care can change any situation. If your child is weak in mathematics and good at arts, do not get a math’s teacher rather than get an arts teacher for the child. Children learn through various ways visually, by hearing, by observing others and by passively making the child do various activities. Some are good at some ways and some in others. We need to know the child closely what the child is good at and recognize his strengths. Hope this article will help you understand your child in a better way. Always “Dwell in possibilities”
