The first thing most people think of when they hear calcium is “MILK” But
The typical reaction when someone is told to eliminate something from their diet — something they love — is often disappointment and denial. Our food habits are so engrained that reforming those habits can be challenging, but the way we handle these challenge is what helps us develop in life and our health.

Myth about calcium and bone strengths.

Calcium is an essential nutrient that should be a part of every healthy diet, but many people grew up hearing that the best way to consume it is by drinking milk or eating dairy products. Now we know this may not be the best idea.

Introduction on Adulteration of Milk.

If you are not getting pure A2 milk (which does not seems possible after giving Rs110 /litre still milk was adulterated).

suggested you should read below topic and think.

Milk adulteration is a serious problem in India. There are reports which suggest that 68 per cent of milk in India is adulterated with products like glucose, caustic soda, white paints, oil or even detergents. Chemicals like hydrogen peroxide, boric acid and antibiotics, that help increase mill’s shelf life, are harmful for human health. A recent report by the Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI) in Maharashtra said that 78 per cent of the milk samples tested were below FSSAI standards.

So Personally

what We suggest is green juices and smoothies are my numero uno recommendation, but second is always…dumping dairy.

That’s right, go dairy-free if not getting pure A2 milk .For A2 milk refer my previous article on milk.

You’re gonna learn a lot about dairy in a minute, but here are a few of the main reasons we removed it from our diet.

The biggest advantage was Dhruva struggling with Autism and its side-effects due to this Adulterated milk.

The moment milk was out of his diet most of the Symptoms of Autism Subsided..My son had 2 Root canals due to this Adulterated milk.

(Adulterated)Dairy is high in saturated fat (which can lead to stroke and heart attacks), it’s highly inflammatory (the root cause of many chronic diseases), and the growth hormones in dairy (ex. IGF1) can stimulate malignant cell growth and proliferation Cancer too.

FROM my personal experience with around hundreds of kids now in my group “AUTISM CURE POSSIBLE” and our health too saying “adieu to dairy”can totally transform your health. So even if you’re not keen on ditching your milkshakes and brie today, I invite you to learn a little more about these non dairy Calcium rich food. Even lessening the amount of dairy you consume can make a REAL DIFFERENCE in how you feel.

Dairy ,If your child is lactose intolerant or allergic to the proteins found in dairy, you may see changes in her mood and behaviour. Many children become irritable, cranky, or aggressive. … Babies may exhibit colicky symptoms, whereas toddlers and older children may become inconsolable and irritable. Children with dairy allergies or intolerance also tend to suffer from frequent colds and ear infections.

some kids especially kids on SPECTRUM cannot consume dairy due to either allergies, sensitivities, or personal choice IRRITATION caused due to TOXINS in milk..

So, it becomes necessary that we replace it with other sources. What are the foods that are rich in calcium besides milk?

Why do some people not want to drink milk?

  • Some people do not like the smell of milk, so they avoid drinking it.
  • People with Lactose Intolerance will have problems with digesting milk. Their body will resist milk. This is a hereditary problem.
  • Those who follow vegan diet will not eat or consume anything that has its source in an animal.
  • Having doubts regarding the quality of milk they get, will make some people stay away from it..

Small comparison of lactose intorrence and lactose digestion.

How dairy impacts your health

A cow drinks cow’s milk when it’s a baby. A bunny drinks bunny’s milk when it’s a baby. Beyond a certain age, even they know that it’s freaky to suckle. And do you ever see them switch and swap? The only time milk is essential for good health is when we are babies, being breastfed by human mothers.

Human breast milk is nature’s perfect formula for human babies. It’s rich in good fats like DHA for brain development, but it’s relatively low in protein.

Cow’s milk contains more than three times as much protein as breast milk. That’s because baby cows need a lot more protein. They grow to between 1,500 and 2,000 pounds. Is that your desired weight?

While the protein in human milk is designed for human bodies, much of the protein in cow’s milk is difficult for humans to digest. In addition, the over-consumption of this protein can lead to serious health conditions.

One of the professor emeritus of nutritional biochemistry at Cornell University, found that the protein that consistently creates and promotes cancer is casein, which makes up about 87 percent of the protein in cow’s milk. According to Professor a diet that contains more than 10 percent protein (that’s about 50 grams of protein if you’re consuming 2,000 calories per day) can lead to the little “c.”

Forget spooky, life-threatening diseases, let’s talk about simpler pickles. Ever pass a kidney stone? If you have, then you know that it’s incredibly painful— feels like shooting an elephant through your pee hole!

How about ,Gut inflammation, an inflammation blow-out sale? Both of these not-so-happy afflictions have been linked to dairy consumption.

Allergies, eczema, asthma, arthritis, inflammation, and zits can all be linked to dairy. What about skim milk or non fat milk? They’re just as bad.

For me, cheese and curd was the hardest thing to give up, but once I did, my Migraine HEADACHES DISAPPEARED . I also started to FEEL SO RELAXED.

How about tummy pain, gas and bloating? Well, there may be a good reason for your belly’s aching. According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, around 75 percent of the world’s adults can’t digest milk (they’re lactose-intolerant).

This article will provide a list of calcium-rich foods that come from non-dairy sources.

So now coming to question .

what IS CALCIUM EXACTLY !

What is calcium?

Calcium is a type of mineral. A Grown-up adult needs around 1000 to 1200mg of calcium a day. Though its needed quantity is much less, it is extremely important. Our body is not capable of manufacturing calcium on its own. So, we need to supplement it from external sources.

Why do we need calcium?

  • For growth of teeth and bones.
  • Proper functioning of nervous system
  • Improving muscle strength
  • Maintaining heart’s health
  • For proper functioning of various hormones in our body

Our body spends 99% of the calcium it gets to bones and teeth, a mere 1% is spent on other tasks. The body needs calcium which is stored in bones and teeth to carry out many functions. Besides giving us healthy bones and teeth, calcium help muscles move and helps nerves carry messages between the brain and other body parts. It also helps move blood through blood vessels.

CALCIUM is one of those minerals that always seem to concern us as a consumer, as an adult and as a parent. Why?

Calcium is a strong contributor to the strength and structure found in our bones and our teeth. Not only that, but it also helps maintain the heart’s rhythm, it ensures movement in our muscles and it assists transporting blood throughout our body.

Calcium plays a critical role in releasing hormones and enzymes that impact our body’s function which help prevent and control high blood pressure, reduce PMS symptoms and manage mineral levels found in our blood including magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. .

No wonder our parents kept insisting that we consume enough dairy as a source of calcium while growing up.

But, where will I get NON DAIRY CALCIUM?

This is probably the most frequently asked question when talking about going dairy-free. Good news!

Nature’s best calcium sources are dark leafy greens such as kale, collards, mustard greens, and turnip greens. The calcium in these foods is absorbed at double the rate of dairy calcium. About 30 percent of dairy calcium is absorbed whereas about 60 percent of calcium from dark leafy greens is absorbed. Other rich plant sources of calcium include beans, almonds, figs, and fortified non dairy milks such as unsweetened almond milk, oat milk, hemp milk, and rice milk.

Leafy Green Vegetables including Broccoli, bok choy, Chinese cabbage
Fish including sardines and canned fish (with bones)
Nuts and seeds including brazil nuts, almonds and tahini (sesame seed paste)
Calcium-fortified foods including breakfast cereals, fruit juices and bread Soy and tofu products if they are fortified with calcium. Look for at least 100mg calcium/100mL on the nutrient information panel.

Note: please prepare these milk at home itself..drink fresh prepared ones.Avoid tetra pack one’s.

When it comes to bone health, calcium isn’t the only factor. Overall diet and activity levels determine bone health and even calcium needs. Countries with the highest calcium intake have the most osteoporosis, so there’s obviously more to the bone-health story than calcium alone.

What Happens If There Is Too Less Calcium?

Calcium deficiency would trigger a multi-functional setback, given its critical role in the metabolism and maintenance of your body. Following are the symptoms of calcium deficiency or hypocalcaemia .

1.Numbness of fingertips and toes.
2.Muscle cramps
3.Convulsions
4.Lethargy
5.Poor appetite
6.Arrhythmia
7.Rickets (if coupled with vitamin D deficiency)
8.Random neuromuscular irritability.
9.Chronic renal failure
10.Pancreatitis
11.Cardiovascular disease.

To avoid such repercussions, it is best to have a balanced diet rich in calcium as well.

Why Vitamin D is responsible for calcium absorption ?

Here’s another helpful factoid, vitamin D—which is necessary for calcium absorption and is best obtained from 20 minutes of sunshine 3 times a week during summer months and fortified, nondairy foods or supplements during winter months—is now being considered the most important nutrient in bone health.

Kids need vitamin D to help the body absorb calcium. Without it, calcium can’t get where it needs to go to build strong bones.

Vitamin D isn’t in many foods that kids eat. Because of this, health care providers often recommend supplement

But it’s free of cost available from Sun then why to pay.

Bottom line: A diet rich in plant foods easily meets calcium needs. Check out this handy infographic for even more info on your calcium needs and plant-based sources.

How much calcium can your body absorb at a time?

Your body can take up about 500 mg of calcium at a time. Although the daily requirement is approximately 1000-1200 mg, it is better to split the total into small doses of 500 mg across the day. This would ensure maximum absorption of calcium.

How do you determine the levels of calcium in your body?

Levels of calcium in your body can be determined by taking a simple blood test. It can help you diagnose calcium deficiency or calcium excess. The result indicates the amount of calcium circulating freely in the blood, but not that stored in bones.

The reference range for calcium in adults is 8.6 mg/dL to 10.2 mg/dL, and for children, it varies from lab to lab.

There are many foods that contain calcium, as well as many other wonderful vitamins and nutrients. Almonds and sesame seeds, which we give daily to DHRUVA are great sources of calcium.

So is collards, celery, avocados, onions, green beans, and asparagus. The lesser eaten prickly pear, okra, gooseberries and dandelion greens are also great sources of calcium.

Not only this calcium is great for our bones and helps to prevent osteoporosis, but it is also helpful in lowering high blood pressure.

Dairy, on the other hand, which most people think of as the needed source of calcium, actually causes mucus (which leads to respiratory problems) and is typically laden with hormones and pesticides from the cow feed.

Dairy is also acid-forming when metabolize and most dairy products are pasteurised to kill harmful bacteria but this process also kills the good vitamins, proteins, and enzymes. Research also leads dairy products with arthritis.

Choose better ways to get your calcium than through milk and dairy products. By eating lots of leafy greens and nuts you will also reap the many other benefits of these natural and delicious foods.

Beyond childhood, most people stop producing the enzyme lactase, which is needed to digest lactose (the sugar in milk). Yeah, your body thinks you should wean, too. I’ve never met someone who didn’t feel better once they removed dairy from their diet. Sorry folks, but all good things come to an end.

BEWARE !!!

Calcium supplements are synthetic formulations of calcium compounds. Most of these are safe for human consumption BUT IF ALL THE CALCIUM IS FROM NON DAIRY SOURCES THEN WHY TO RELY ON DAIRY SOURCES

TOE WALKING HOW TO CORRECT IT AT HOME ITSELF by Sneha Narayan

Completed my article on TOE WALKING AND HOW TO OVERCOME IT 100% FOR MY SON WE DID IT… ..many parents requested me to write on this topic and its my favorite topic too as lots of memories are attached to this topic.

EARLIER whenever I used to search TOE WALKING CURE for MY SON ONLINE every where used to read same things again and again that
Persistent toe walking is “idiopathic,” which means that the exact cause is not known. Older children who continue to toe walk may do so simply out of habit or because the muscles and tendons in their calves have become tighter over time.

WE WENT TO MANY THERAPIST AND DOCTORS, ASKED SOLUTIONS ABOUT HOW TO OVERCOME IT BUT DID NOT GOT ANY SATISFACTORY ANSWERS..

They just suggested me to go for occupational therapy and get heighted shoes and if not corrected then later some surgery to be done .let him wear some braces and what not..they suggested us casting, botulinum toxin injections and surgery may be last resort options if conservative treatment we became so worried as to how to correct it .. it became a serious concern in my life..

These worries used to haunt me day and night what will happen to my son now. Will he never walk like others kids???..and what about his pain !!!!! was feeling v helpless until read an article on HYPTONIA (LOW AND HIGH MUSCLE TONE) and thats it got all my answers to why my son is on his TOES ALL THE TIME..and this problem is due to extremely tight Achilles tendons.
so started our journey toward the correction of TOE WALKING for my son.

LETS START OUR JOURNEY NOW..

TOPICS TO BE COVERED

WHAT IS TOE WALKING

main-qimg-519451f9978c9f09f32a54e22c6728be-c

Toe walking is a pattern of walking in which a child walks on balls of his or her feet, with no contact between the heels and ground. Toe walking is common in children who are learning to walk. After the age of 2, however, most children outgrow toe walking and begin to walk with a normal heel-to-toe pattern.

Walking on the toes can be a normal part of motor development, usually occurring in the first 12-18mth after commencing walking and should pass by 2-3 years of age. In this case, children will stand and walk on the toes some of the time for short periods only and otherwise demonstrate normal development and a good repertoire of motor skills across other areas. There is no need to be concerned about this type of toe-walking.

When might toe-walking cause concern then, and why? We know that toe-walking is common in certain neuromuscular conditions and AUTISM is one of them.

When my son use to walk on toes since he was 2 yrs of age i thought its normal but it became our concern when after he was 3 yrs he still was on his toes.Til the time he was awake he was on his toes walking. Now it became a serious threat to his legs as it use to pain and he uses to fell down most of the times. when i started his therapy we were also going to football classes where I have seen kids with 10 years of age walking on toes so it was very horrifying for me I have seen kids having braces in the foot coming to the occupational therapy classes even heard that some kids need surgery to correct it but I did not wanted all this sufferings for my son so I started searching for some alternative treatments which I did not found on internet but read in a book .So sharing my experience that we did to make my son come out 100% of this TOE WALKING PROBLEM.

We Consulted many doctors but they said its basic cause is not detected and it can be one of the symptoms of Autism .Again was tensed that he was normal till 2 yrs of age then why these problems are arising.

Consulted many doctors but the causes were unknown and again got no solution..Then after reading an article on MUSCLE TONE realized yes thats it got a reason its due to either LOW OR HIGH MUSCLE TONE..and now AFTER 6 MONTHS MY SON IS 100% OUT OF THIS PROBLEM..SO SHARING HOW WE OVERCAME THIS PROBLEM FOR OUR SON..HOPE IT HELPS ALL THE PARENTS IN SAME SITUATION.

Exam/Assessment

In order to best determine an ideal treatment protocol, a comprehensive history should be taken. Children who ambulate later or skip developmental milestones which limit weight bearing, often present with TOE WALKING later on.

  • Does the child toe walk when wearing shoes?
  • Do you notice more or less toe walking when WALKING barefoot on different surfaces? For instance sand at beach, grass at park, hard wood floor, carpet.
  • Is the child able to achieve and maintain full range of motion at ankle?
  • W SITTING VERY FREQUENT

“W-sitting” is a term used to describe a sitting position in which the child’s bottom is on the floor while their feet are splayed out to the sides – forming a “W” shape with the legs and knees.W-sitting may seem like a benign position that many children utilize, but it comes with many negative implications.

    w-sitting2

  • Chief among these are the fact that W-sitting:
    • Promotes poor posture
    • Discourages activation of trunk muscles leading to deficits in balance
    • Inhibits exploration and movement between positions
    • Keeps children confined to play only in midline
    • May lead to hamstring tightness, tibial torsion and hip dislocation

Never allow the kid to sit in W position.Always prompt the kid to sit in leg folded manner. We use to prompt and correct our kid position every minute in a day around 100 times we us to correct it..

Prevention is the best method if you can catch the pattern early on. Children build foundational skills, and develop compensatory strategies as needed. Let the child know about and experience alternative sitting positions. Be consistent. When you see the child W-sitting, help to correct it. Occasionally children utilize the W-sitting position when transitioning from creeping on hands and knees to sitting on the floor. From all fours, the child simply parts the knees and plops his or her bottom down between them, resulting in the W-position. To discourage this, we can teach child other more efficient transitional movements to get into sitting.

Experiment with side sitting or gently guiding legs out in front to promote a “long sitting”position. Using verbal cues like “criss cross sitting” assist with the acquisition of new sitting patterns and include the child as an engaged participant. Once the child has experienced the alternative positions, give him or her opportunities to participate in active play scenarios to gain confidence and comfort in these more developmentally appropriate seated postures.

CAUSES OF TOE WALKING

Toe-walking? This is a good question. Toe-walking may be a learned habit (many toddlers walk on their toes), or may relate to motor coordination challenges, a tight Achilles tendon, or a sensory processing difference. Toe-walking is also seen with other neurological or developmental disorders, such as cerebral palsy.Children with autism often present with stereotyped motor movements, one of which may be walking on their tip-toes. Others hypothesize that walking on toes reduces over stimulation in the feet that can occur as a result of walking on the entire foot.

Toe-walking however also occurs on its own, where a clear neuromuscular cause cannot be found. This is called ‘idiopathic toe-walking’ (idiopathic meaning literally ‘with unknown cause’). Despite being idiopathic, toe-walking appears to be more common than average in children and adults with the following diagnoses or risk factors:

Typically, toe walking is a habit that develops when a child learns to walk. In a few cases, toe walking is caused by an underlying condition, such as:

  • Tight calf muscles and shortened heel (Achilles) tendons. The tight muscle and/or shortened tendon can prevent the heel from touching the ground. So instead of walking flat footed, the child walks on his or her toes. Calf muscle tightness often occurs with autism. Sometimes it’s related to cerebral palsy, another condition that can co-occur with autism.
  • Sensory processing differences This can include discomfort or anxiety in response to the feel of certain surfaces on the bottom of the child’s feet.Idiopathic toe walking may be linked to hyper or hypo sensitivity. Some children may not like the feeling of different surfaces on their bare feet, which cause them to rise up on their toes to avoid having the full surface of their feet contracting floor. For children who are seeking more input, toe walking increases the force of impact felt during ambulation, as the ground reaction force is distributed through a smaller surface area at the metatarsal heads.
  • Hyper-reactive calf muscles. In this case, fast movements such as walking cause the calf muscle to spasm, or shorten, at the wrong time. To avoid the uncomfortable spasm, the child may begin to stay up on his or her toes.
  • Hypotonia (low muscle tone)Hyper-extended back posture (“sway-back”). This posture shifts the child’s weight forward onto the toes. We commonly see this in children with low muscle tone, or muscle weakness.
  • Cerebral palsy. Toe walking can be caused by a disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture caused by injury or abnormal development in the parts of the immature brain that control muscle function.
  • Muscular dystrophy. Toe walking sometimes occurs in this genetic disease in which muscle fibers are unusually prone to damage and weaken over time. This diagnosis might be more likely if your child initially walked normally before starting to toe walk.
  • Autism. Toe walking has been linked to autism spectrum disorders, which affect a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others.
  • Family history of idiopathic toe-walking (up to 40% in first and second degree relatives!)
  • Developmental Coordination and/or Language Disorders
  • ADHD and related conditions
  • Premature birth and/or low birthweight

Though the majority of idiopathic toe-walkers do not have a diagnosed condition or evidence of any
other developmental delays. Children who toe-walk all or most of the time, generally after the age of 3, will not “grow out” of this pattern. The implications of this may include compromised opportunities to develop more advanced gait and postural control strategies and motor skills, extremely tight Achilles tendons, problems with the development of the foot as the child grows, and difficulty using the muscles of the trunk and hips in an efficient manner.

How to cure it at home itself now..

There are five ways to correct toe walking

  • HOME EXERCISE PROGRAM

  • MASSAGE and LEG JOINT COMPRESSION

  • MULTI-SURFACE BARE FOOT WALKING(MOST IMPORTANT)

  • TREKKING

  • VATA PACIFIER DIET and MASSAGE.

HOME EXERCISE PROGRAM

If your child has idiopathic toe walking, a daily home exercise program can be very helpful. The goal is to stretch the calf muscles and strengthen the muscles on the front of the legs. This will help your child to be able to successfully walk with a heel-to-toe pattern. If your child’s calf muscles are tight, or ankle motion is limited, you will be shown stretches to do at home with them. These stretches should be followed with activities to help them use their muscles in their new lengthened position.

These exercises will be necessary and beneficial as long as your child demonstrates a tip toe walking pattern. The exercises will vary with their age. The most important part of the exercise program is to remember to have fun with your child!

Stretches and strengthening exercises for children under TEN years of age

EXERCISE ONE :Calf stretch

  • Have your child lie on their back on a comfortable surface such as a firm bed.

  • With their knee straight and leg supported on the bed, bring your child’s foot upwards, toward their head, bending their ankle.

  • Hold the stretch at the end of the movement (that is, as far as your child’s range of motion will permit) for 15 to 30 seconds. This should not be painful for your child.

  • Bring your child’s foot back to a normal position. Repeat the exercise 10 times on each leg, daily.

    EXERCISE TWO: Achilles tendon stretch

  • Have your child lie on their back on a comfortable surface such as a firm bed.
  • With their knee bent, bring your child’s foot upwards, toward their head, bending their ankle.
  • Hold the stretch at the end of the movement (that is, as far as your child’s range of motion will permit) for 15 to 30 seconds. This should not be painful for your child.
  • Bring your child’s foot back to a normal position. Repeat the exercise 10 times on each leg, daily.

EXERCISE THREE :SIT TO STAND

  • Have your child sit on a children’s sized chair or stool.
  • Place your hands below their knees, providing a moderate, constant pressure downwards as a cue to keep their heels on the floor.
  • Have your child practice standing up while keeping their heels on the ground.
  • Make this exercise fun by playing a game of high five, blowing bubbles, reaching for objects, working in front of a mirror or singing songs.

EXERCISE FOUR :CALF STRETCH

  • Have your child stand approximately two feet from a wall. Place both of their hands at shoulder height against the wall.
  • With their right knee straight, have them step towards the wall with the left foot. They should lean in until a stretch is felt in the back of the right calf. Make sure they keep the heel of the right foot on the ground.
  • Hold the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds.
  • Repeat the exercise 10 times on each leg, daily.

EXERCISE FIVE :CLIMBING SLIDES

Climbing up playground slide is a great way to target range of motion, strength and weight bearing!

climb-slide.jpg

EXERCISE SIX: DYNA DISC STAND

make the child stand on disc for like 30 sec to one minute.it helps a lot in reducing sensory input problems

wedgecushion.jpg

MASSAGE and LEG JOINT COMPRESSION

Joint Compression is providing input into one’s joints (namely at the shoulders, arclies tendon muscle, elbows, wrists, and fingers) for proprioceptive input. Proprioception refers to the physical input on the body’s joints, muscles, and bones that then elicit chemical, physiological, and physical changes in the body.

The joint compression video shared in my youtube channel you can click the link and see.

USE THE OILS RECOMMENDED IN MY PREVIOUS ARTICLES.

Our bodies need proprioceptive input to improve our body awareness, body organization, postural security; and once the body becomes more secure and organized, then it can relax, calm down, and handle stress in a more efficient manner.

In addition, joint compressions also utilize human touch with has been shown to facilitate the release of dopamine and norepinephrine. Dopamine and norepinphrine are two neurotransmitters that are responsible for mood regulation, motivation, lowering anxiety levels, and lowering depression (Neurogistics ). So, by doing joint compressions with your child, you are actually getting” double the bang for your buck” as you are reaping the benefits of both proprioception and touch combined.

  • Help your child with a HOPE

    • Marching on the spot. Have your child bring their knees up high and then land with a flat foot.
    • Walking uphill.
    • Walking on uneven surfaces such as in a playground or sand.
    • Walking on the heels only. Keep the toes off the ground at all times.
    • Practicing squats. With feet flat on the floor, hip width apart, have your child slowly lower their body all the way to the floor by bending at their knees and hips but keeping their chest upright.

BARE FOOT WALKING(FIVE SURFACE BARE FOOT WALKING)

We can’t deny the presence of electrical charges in our body and thus so, it makes the conduction of the electricity to the body as possible. We’re producing the positive charge regularly and the earth maintains the negative charge along with the free radicals to balance the charges. The negative potential of the earth is responsible for stabilizing our internal bioelectrical environment to pursue the internal functions smoothly.
Due to the trendy footwear obsession and recent pedicure maintenance, we hesitate to kick off our shoes and walk on the ground. But by covering our soles of the foot, we’re limiting the elimination of the free radicals and charge of the body, which can produce a hindrance in our physiological processes of the body. Perhaps, you should try to walk on the ground around 30 minutes rather early in the morning or evening to donate the toxins to the earth.
Do you remember the last time when you walked on the ground with barefoot? Earthing or grounding is the terminology that we usually use for the barefoot walk. Most people opt for the barefoot walk when they need to relax and calm themselves but along with these benefits, we can’t neglect the associated benefits of it. So, here we’re discussing the most common advantages of the barefoot walk on your overall health.

  • Insomnia Can Be Controlled

  • Improves Nervous System:

Walking barefoot stimulates the acupuncture points of the foot and this in turn helps in stimulating the nerves and veins

  • IMPROVES THE BALANCE

When our soles of the foot come in contact with the ground, our vestibular system (balance & coordination system) stimulates; thus, our balance is improved and the loop of the neural circuits remapped.

In younger age , we lose our balance and coordination more rapidly due to the inevitable degeneration in the neurons of our brain. So, if you’re walking barefoot on the grass, the potential signals sent from the receptors of the soles empower your neural circuits.

The most important exercise that helped my kid was 5 FIVE SURFACE BARE FOOT WALKING..in one go change surface after every 5 to 10 min.

1 .Make the kid walk on pebbles small and big .click the link and see.

It acts as an accupunture and triggers all good points and nerves responsible for sensory toe .

BALANCE ELECTRONS AND INFLUENCE BRAIN.70% of our body contains water which contains electrolytes like sodium, potassium etc. walking bare foot help to create an ionic balance within cells & tissues by the help of earth’s magnetic energy

2 .Make the kid walk on Dry and wet Grass at the same time.

One reason direct physical contact with the ground might have beneficial physiological effects is the earth’s surface has a negative charge and is constantly generating electrons that could neutralize free radicals, acting as antioxidants. You may think of antioxidants as coming from food, and indeed a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and other foods that provide beta-carotene, selenium, lutein, lycopene and vitamins A, C and E help prevent cellular damage from free radicals. Still, it is interesting that we may be able to get them directly from the earth, too.
The key may be the impact on the vagus nerve. This is the largest nerve of the autonomic nervous system — extending from the brain to the colon — and plays a key role in heart, lung and digestive function. Strong vagal tone helps you relax faster after experiencing stress, while weak vagal tone is associated with chronic inflammation.

This colon is responsible for VATA dosha related to Autism ..

Stimulates your entire body, including the eyes: Our feet are store houses of reflexology zones that correspond to various organs of our body. According to the principles of reflexology, stimulating these points can help relieve ailments of the particular organs and keep them in a general state of good health. The foot has points for the eyes, ears, lungs, nerves of the face, stomach, spleen, brain, kidneys and many more organs, so when we walk on grass, these areas are gently stimulated, helping your entire body stay healthy

3 .Make the kid walk barefoot on Road

When your bare skin comes in contact with the earth directly, the negative ions present in the earth can help balance the positive ions in your body and this will improve your health in many aspects. Many of us have read or heard that there are pressure points in our body. When we walk barefoot on sand or on grass or on road , the pressure on our foot activates the acupuncture points. This in turn, energizes our body and improves our health.

4. Walking barefoot on Sand

Walking in sand requires a greater effort than walking on a hard surface. Your muscles and tendons will work harder as your foot moves around.Walking at a slower pace while your feet sink in sand requires more effort than walking fast or even jogging.Walking in sand requires 2.1 to 2.7 times more energy than walking on hard surfaces.

5.Walking on DRY AND WET MUD (MUD THERAPY) SENSORY BENIFIT

Walking with shoes prevents kids foot to explores the textures of different kind of natural object ( e.g sand , mud, grass etc) but while walking bare foot these natural materials stimulate the pressure point and nerve endings which makes us more alert, active, aware and oriented

It improves blood circulation in leg which prevents varicose veins & keep our leg healthy.
IMPROVES MEMORY, FOCUS, CONCENTRATION AND OVERALL INTELLIGENCE TOO.

TREKKING AND TOE WALKING

This article explains trekking in detail click here
Trekking helps tone the muscles, while enhancing their elasticity. This strengthens and powers up the muscles. Needless to add, the biggest beneficiary are the legs, particularly gluteal muscles (buttocks), quadriceps (legs), hamstrings (back of the thighs), inner & outer thighs, hips, and calves. Oblique muscles (abdomen) neck, shoulder,& arms muscles & bonesare also groomed. All this while, your bone density is increasing and the density loss or osteoporosis is slowing down. Trekking is especially helpful for people with joints & back pain, a condition called arthritis. The mountain trails are comfortable and softer for the feet, ankles, knees, back, and hips as compared to the concrete ground. Carrying a backpack enhances the benefits and works additionally on your upper body strength.A stronger & toned musculo-skeletal system and reduced body weight with intense practice on an unpredictable and steep terrain helps improve body balance.

VATA PACIFIER DIET and MASSAGE.

As explained in article two and three kids should be on VATA PACIFIER diet.

This helps a lot in overcoming the toe walking problem .

THANK YOU MAA FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE FOR ME…..by Sneha Narayan.

Dear Maa,

The days are so busy that I don’t get time to thank you but today I want to thank you through this letter of mine for you .

A gift to my Mom..on her birthday..

I used to think I knew how much you loved my brother and I. Before I had my Son, I think I took your love for granted. You were always there and willing to give us anything, but I never understood what you felt on the other end. I just knew how much I loved you and assumed your love for me was the same.I TOOK YOUR LOVE FOR GRANTED..

I LOVE YOU MOM AND BECAUSE …

I realize now that this isn’t completely true. Not until I became a mother myself could I TRULY understand how DEEP your LOVE RUNS for me. I understand that love now, how you would do anything to give us the BEST LIFE POSSIBLE, how you would give your life for us.

The reason I understand this is because it’s how I feel about my own Son now.

I look back and think about when I was four years old, the same age that when my Son is now. I think about where I am today and where you were. You were in the middle of struggles of the joint family we had… Inspite of that queos you managed to give us an outstanding upbringing..in the midst of heavy financial crisis..and Dad Unwell..

I remember you taking care of Anshu and me alone ..no body came for our help.we two plus dad unwell you took up a stand in life both financially and emotionally..how strong you were …

thanks maa thanks ma for giving me best childhood memories..thanks for PAMPERING ME ALWAYS..LIKE YOUR PRINCESS..

You navigated our ship of life through the ROUGH SEAS..MOM YOU ARE THE ANCHOR OF OUR SHIPS..

Then came studies ..non of the girls did engineering in our society but you gave me the best convent school of Ranchi..later you were there when I completed my engineering will all the hardship in my life day one from admissions to my last day at the hostel..I remember you came to pick me up with all my extra heavy luggage..love you mom..and then Rishi came into my life..you taught me to love and care for my family..

You know maa the best part was the things I shared with you while was in relationship with Rishi..each day I use to share all my feelings about him..and you were there to listen everything..

MAA thanks for always listening me..and never complaining..Thanks maa for being a BEST FRIEND ALWAYS..

MAA thanks for letting Rishi come in my life this is the best gift you have given me in my lifetime.

LATER I, on the other hand, have a very helpful husband and my brother with raising MY SON.. I don’t know how you did it alone I don’t know how you as my mom managed to take care of us while dad was unwell for such long time. I have a tremendous amount of respect for those mom’s those are raising kids on their own, just like you did. I’m not so sure I would be strong enough to do so.

I can’t even begin to express how much I respect you. The words “thank you” don’t seem to do justice to how I truly feel about what you did for my SON DHRUVA. You worked so incredibly hard to give us a good life and I will always be grateful for that.

Thanks maa for being best Grandmother to my Son.

The words “thank you” don’t seem to do justice to how I truly feel about what you did for my SON DHRUVA. You worked so incredibly hard to give us a good life and I will always be grateful for that.

YOU WERE AN INTEGRAL PART IN SAVING MY SON’S LIFE..mom you lighted my life again..

MOM you know this time when I went home I couldn’t find that peace at home which I use to ja e when you were there waiting for me to return on my holidays..I realised home is nothing without you..

I know now how hard being a mother really is. I look back and think of all the pain you must have gone through because of us. I think of how you must’ve felt the first time I ever went through a painful SURGERY or when MY BROTHER struggled to come out of his dark days… I know now how much our pain must’ve hurt you.you were always there to sacrifice your piece of cake for us..

I also understand why you couldn’t fall asleep until we got home once we were older and allowed to be out late. I understand why, to this day, you still want me to let you know when my flight lands if I’m traveling.

I think back to the times I would fight with you. I think about how you were always by my side, even during those times I put you through hell. I fight anxiety, depression and a past with breakup pain daily with in laws..and through all of it, you never gave up on me.

No matter what you were going through, you were so strong for us. You are truly one of the strongest people I know. I appreciate everything you’ve done.

I think now about how you must have felt the day I was born. The love and the joy you must have felt when you held me for the first time. It’s something I never could have imagined until having my own SON.

I just want to say now that I see you and I have a deeper appreciation for everything you have done for us.

I know that you have blamed yourself for the not-so-perfect moments. Moments where you remember getting mad at us, or being so upset and hurt throughout your FAMILY struggle that maybe you had days when you took out that anger on us. I truly hope you can forgive yourself and let that stuff go. I am learning now more than ever that there is no such thing as a “perfect” mom. We are human. However, you were as close to perfect as it gets.

What I want you to know is that these aren’t the things we remember. My memories of childhood are nothing short of incredible.I remember knowing that you were always there for us. I remember awesome birthday parties you used to throw for us.

I remember the tiffins you prepared for us,I remember the pickup and drops to school,I remember the shopping you took me to my crazy hobby to collect footwear..I remember the walking during Durga Puja,I remember the karva chauth together ,I remember the Nani ghar ,Delhi holidays ,Langar ka khana, barbequie party of litti chokha on terrace,I remember you dressing me,I remember you taking to to have inccream and paneer chilly at Kaveri restaurant …the list is endless Maa…

Mom you are an angels, true presents from God, they who protect and guide their children.

DRYFRUIT DATES BARFI (NO SUGAR) By Sneha Narayan

Hey mommies her comes dates drufruits Barfi..

It’s vvgood for our kids as sugar is not allowed them to eat.But BELIVE me this stuff is awesome without sugar itself..let hop in how to mak

e..

I have not grinded DRYFRUIT intentionally as our kids need to chew all the food so keep dry fruits in small size but make sure they chew and eat..

Ingredients to make dry fruit dates Barfi..

Dates – 400 grams (2 cup)

Walnuts – 50 grams (½ cup)

Cashews – 50 grams (½ cup)

Almonds – 50 grams (½ cup)

coconut – 25 grams (½ cup) (grated) fresh preferably

Pistachios – 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Chironji (optional)– 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Poppy seeds – 20 grams (2 tbsp)

Nutmeg – 1/2 half

Green cardamom – 6-7

2 spoon refined Sundrop oil..

Instructions how to make..

Cut each cashew into 6-7 small chunks and likewise chop each almond making 7-8 small chunks. Similarly, chop walnuts as well and place everything in a bowl.

Slice the pistachios into thin pieces. Peel the green cardamom and crush its seeds along with nutmeg into fine powder using mortar pestle.

Note nutmeg in v small quantity OTHERWISE whole Barfi will smell too much .

Roughly chop the dates using a knife and discard their seeds. Place them in a bowl.

Place a pan on flame and add chopped cashews, almonds and walnuts into it. Keep stirring constantly and roast them for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Then transfer them in a bowl. Place the pan back on flame and pour some oil into it. When the oil is hot add poppy seeds into it. Stir it continuously and roast it for 2 minutes on low flame.

Once the poppy seed turns fragrant, add nutmeg-green cardamom powder, chopped dates, roasted chopped dry fruits, grated coconut fresh and chironji ( optional)into it. Keep the flame on low and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

When everything is mixed well, turn off the flame and transfer the mixture on a plate so that it cools down quickly.

Grease the hand with some oil and pinch some mixture. Roll it out into cylindrical shape by pressing it with both the hands. Coat the barfi with some sliced pistachios and place it on a plate. Likewise, prepare the rest of the barfis until the mixture is utilized completely.

Now take an aluminium foil piece and place a barfi on it. Wrap it up nicely. Similarly, wrap the rest of the barfis and place them in refrigerator for 2 hours to set. After 2 hours, barfis will set aptly.

Unwrap the barfis and cut them into ½ cm thick barfi. Place them on a plate. Khajur dry fruits barfis are now ready.

Serve these mouth-watering and tantalizing khajur dry fruits barfi after any meal as a dessert or have them whenever you crave for something sweet. Keep the barfis in open for 2-3 hours then store them in an air-tight container and relish eating for up to 3-4 months.

So everyone enjoy the Barfi

Do not give more that half piece of small Barfi to kids..

And one piece to younger kids..

Love you all

Sneha..

“SOLVING SLEEP PROBLEMS IN KIDS (ASD & ADHD)” BY SNEHA NARAYAN

Pavni and all parents pls stop worrying about Sleep now….

Battling sleep problems for normal kids or ASD AND ADHD kids and adults too ,issues are more or less the same..

Today in this article we will discuss

1.How Sleep Is Linked To Anxiety

2.CAUSE of This SLEEP PROBLEM

3.20 Ways To Help Your Kids Get a Good Night’s Sleep Points 14 to 20 are very important..

It’s frustrating and heartbreaking to watch as your child wants to fall asleep, but cannot.
All of us have seen what happens to our kids if they skip a nap or go to bed too late (can we say cranky monster on the loose?!). But did you know that sleep deprivation due to food and toxins in kids body can also make them more anxious and frustrated and push them more towards Autistic symptoms.so we need to come out of this infinite loop.

Sleep plays a major role in how we function. Every where I read I have found that it points out the importance in getting a good night’s sleep to manage anxiety of kids.

Poor sleep has been shown to significantly worsen the symptoms of AUTISM and many mental health issues including anxiety. It is clear that good sleep is necessary for prevention and recovery of anxiety frustration but wants the cause behind this problem..

Researchers observed facial expressions of two and three-year-olds Autistic kids after they skipped their typical nap and then on another day after they had their normal nap. The results show that the loss of a nap made the children less excited about positive events and more frustrated with challeCAUSE of This SLEEP PROBLEnges they faced than when they were well-rested.

The sleepy children had more difficulty expressing their emotions. Over time, this lack of sleep may shape their developing emotional brains and put them at risk for lifelong, mood-related problems.

How Sleep Is Linked To Anxiety

When our children don’t sleep enough, they can experience the following changes that lead to anxious feelings.

1.Body Unable to Repair Itself
Sleep is the time when our body repairs itself, such as relaxing muscles tense from stress. Without sleep, stress builds up, which can lead to more anxiety the next day.

2.Brain Stress
It is said that during sleep our brain regenerates neurons that affect various areas of thought, emotion, and health. When kids don’t sleep enough, these neurons do not regener\nate, and in some cases stop functioning altogether.

3.Physical Symptoms
Sleep deprivation can exacerbate any physical symptom or illness. When children and teens don’t get enough sleep, they can experience headaches, nausea, muscle soreness, tremors, slurred speech, or dizziness. Sometimes sleepiness can also lead to odd sensations like tingling or aches and pains. These physical symptoms can be alarming, causing worry that something is seriously wrong.

4.Elevated Adrenaline
It is said that lack of sleep leads to an increase in levels of adrenaline in our kids. Because anxiety can be caused by chronic adrenaline, there is a link between too little sleep and feeling anxious.

5.Anticipatory Anxiety
It is discovered that a lack of sleep may play a key role in triggering the brain regions that contribute to excessive worrying. Sleep deprivation makes anticipatory anxiety worse by firing up the brain’s amygdala and insular cortex, regions associated with emotional processing. The resulting brain activity mimics the abnormal activity seen in people with anxiety disorders. In addition, those who are naturally anxious are more sensitive to the effects of not getting enough sleep.

5.Creates a Negative Cycle
Sleep anxiety, or insomnia, is a problem for millions of KIDS and ADULTS too in our country including many children. Sometimes it is hard to tell whether a child’s anxiety leads to sleep problems or if the sleep problems are causing the anxiety. This can become a frustrating cycle if a child is not sleeping well and suffering from anxiety.

CAUSE of This SLEEP PROBLEM

SO NOW THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM

Earlier it was happening bcoz the brain was busy in manipulating TOXINS in KIDS body Due to WHEAT,MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS AND SUGAR and so sleep was disturbed..

PLEASE NOTE EVERYONE ANY HEALTH ISSUE IN OUR BODY IS DUE TO TWO THINGS
1.FOOD WE EAT
2.AIR WE BREATHE

AS WE DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTROL ON SECOND POINT BUT CAN VERY WELL MANAGE FIRST IN OUR KIDS AND OURSELF…

SO AS OF NOW WE ARE NOT GIVING THESE FOOD TO OUR KIDS ..
But THOSE GLUTEN AND TOXINS FROM MILK AND SUGAR ALREADY IN BODY TAKES MAXIMUM 6 MONTHS TO FLUSH OUT . SO STOP WORRYING GRADUALLY IN SIX MONTHS TIME KIDS WILL SLEEP 10 TO 11 HOURS NON STOP BELIVE ME BUT PLEASE DO NIT CHEAT IN “VATA PACIFIER DIET..”

My SON did not slept for 1.5 months nonstop and the frustration level my son and I was facing was horrible. Even my sleep cycle was totally disturbed and was begging for medicines or SLEEPING PILLS from doctors.

We both were strucked in this loop of no sleep and we’re struggling never thought that we could ever solve this problem but as the days passed with VATA PACIFIER DIET and AROMA AND AYURVEDIC MASSAGE Dhruva became more relaxed day by day and his sleep pattern started improving..and now he sleeps 10 to 12 hrs non-stop.

Bacause we did not understand why he gets up at night we even used to feed him at night,TAKE HIM TO TOILET,GIVE HIM WATER TO DRINK but later realised it not because of FOOD neither because of THIRST NOR bacause of TOILET it’s because of BRAIN busy in removing TOXINS from his body..so no sleep or less sleep and more anxiety and frustrations…
So Pavni and rest of the parents of my group relax and just do as we say in all my articles VATA PACIFIER DIET and MASSAGE and things will change GRADUALLY but 100% will change and results will be positive..

Sharing Best Tips for good sleep.

20 Ways To Help Your Kids Get a Good Night’s Sleep Points 15 to 20 are very important..

One of the most important tools for fighting anxiety is sleep. Here are some tips to help your kids get consistent, restful sleep. It’s been interesting over the years to see how our kids’ sensory issues affected their sleep in different ways. We have been able to come up with solutions for most of the sleep issues in our home.
If your child is not capable of expressing what their sleep issues are, play detective. Try lying in their bed in the dark and using your senses to troubleshoot what issues there may be. Is there any type of noise that may be bothering them? Are the sheets scratchy? Are the walls painted a bright colour or is there too much clutter in the room? How is the temperature in the room? Is there a smell? Are they not enough tired??Food and toxins in body??
Below is the solution to all problems!!!!

1. Burn off extra energy before Sleep time

Arrange playdates in the morning and evening outside of the home. Play outside in natural light with lots of running around. Then head home, have a quiet lunch or dinner and draw the curtains, encouraging sleepy time.

2. Keep a consistent routine everyday

Yes, even on weekends. Routine play that extremely important part in kids sleep patterns. They give babies and toddlers a sense of security and emotional stability, because their world becomes predictable. Make sure to have the same pre-nap routine at the same time everyday. If your toddler goes to daycare, keep your schedule the same as theirs. Having a regular rhythm for each day helps your toddler relax and welcome nap time, because his body has become used to sleeping time.

3.FOLLOW BED TIME ROUTINES AND COMFORTABLE CLOTHES
Young children need routines to succeed. Create a fixed bedtime ritual and make sure you follow it every night.
For instance, have your kids brush their teeth, get in bed for a story, and say a gratitude prayer. Once you do this a few times, they will automatically ask for their special bedtime routine.

Put on soft, comfy pajamas. Don’t let your baby go to sleep in daytime clothes. These soft little outfits aren’t just for keeping your baby warm – they’re a comforting, tactile signal that it’s time to go to sleep for the night.

4.Set a Regular Wake-Up Time.

You will need to wake them up consistently at the same time every day. This helps reduce their grogginess in the morning and gets their body used to sleeping and waking up at the same time. Do not change their schedule even on weekends.

5.Provide a Comfortable Environment.

Children need a calming place to unwind before they can fall asleep. Provide them with a comfortable environment that has dim lights and quiet. Surrounding them with their favorite stuffed animal, soft bedding, and a cozy pillow will also help them relax and get into a comfy position for the night. GET a top rated night light so that your kids do not get too scared as they try to fall asleep.

NO SMOKING AND PETS IN THE BEDROOM

6.Shut Off Technology.

More and more studies are finding that technology is affecting children’s sleep in a number of ways, such as the blue light from screens interfering with the sleeping hormone melatonin. Be sure to shut down computers, video games, televisions, and other electronic gadgets.
NO GADGETS FOR KIDS AT ALL

7.Keep Them Cool.

A child’s sleep cycle is sensitive to both light and temperature. Be careful not to make your children’s bedroom too warm or to cover them up with heavy clothing and blankets. A cool environment is best for promoting sleep. ITS recommended setting the temperature at 24 to 25 degree centigrade for young children.

8.NO CAFFEINE FOR KIDS AND ADULTS TOO.
Caffeine is a stimulant that can last for several hours. Avoid serving your children chocolate desserts and caffeinated beverages including soda, coffee, tea, energy drinks, and caffeinated water throughout the day.

9. MINDFUL BREATHING.
Mindful breathing helps reduce stress and anxiety by slowing down the body and initiating the relaxation response. It is a simple tool that your children can turn to anytime they feel uneasy or worried.difficult to achieve this with toddlers but young kids can be taught to do this..

9.Relaxing MUSIC.
Try using some relaxing music to calm your children at bedtime. Zen Melodies has an amazing library of relaxation music safe for older children and teens. These special recordings use binaural beats and isochronic tones to calm the brain. Play some soft music or Songs kids like it either spiritual or movie songs not an issue kids should feel quite after listening..

10.Talk Out Feelings.

Kids often find it hard to sleep when they are under stress. Talk to them about their fears and reassure them that you are there to protect them. You can also get them a stuffed toy to comfort them. This will help them put aside their fears of monsters or the dark so they can sleep well. Also, reducing their fears is crucial because higher cortisol due to stress disrupts the sound sleep of your child.
NEVER EVER TRY TO PUT ANY FEAR IN KIDS MIND TO GET THE WORK DONE FROM THEM.
AS ALL PARENTS DO TO KIDS
“BABY DO THIS OR EAT THIS OTHERWISE MONSTOR WILL COME ” XYZ…
IN LONG TERM KIDS BECOME V ANXIOUS AND HAVE FEAR TILL LIFETIME SO REFRAIN YOURSELF FROM DOING SO.

If your child struggling neither anxiety, you know the challenge of finding the right things to say when he or she is worried. It’s not easy to connect without making the fears worse, while at the same time offering support and encouragement.
I am here; you are safe.” Anxiety has a way of making things look worse and feel scarier than when we are not feeling worried. These words can offer comfort and safety when your child is feeling out of control, especially if they are at the height of their worry. If you’re not sure what to say, this is an excellent go-to phrase!
What do you want to tell your worry?”
How big is your worry?” Help your child verbalize the size of their worry and give you an accurate picture of how it feels to them.

11.Keep your toddler “in the loop”

Even if your toddler isn’t speaking much, trust me, he understands everything. And he wants to control it all! Give him fair warning each day that sleep time follows lunch and Dinner. Make a story book or use puppets to help explain. Remember, toddlers are naturally “control freaks,” so discussing things beforehand gives you time to convince your toddler that a sleep is a great idea.

12.Commit to 2-3 weeks of working at it

Often, it’s just a phase (although it feels like an eternity.) and toddlers may slide right back into a nap routine after a few days, while our HYPERACTIVE TODDLER’S may “kick, scream, cry, and beat the door down for a week before accepting SLEEP time” as one mom put it to us.
Your toddler will learn to accept his SLEEP routine because of your CONSISTENCY and DETERMINATION.

13.PRAISE THEM FOR GOOD SLEEP

Let KIDS know that you have a very special treat waiting for her each morning, when she stays in her bed.

A sticker, stamp, animal mask, trip to the park, is usually enough of an incentive to reduce nighttime roaming.

Make sure to talk excitedly about her “special treat” each night at bedtime. And gently remind her of your expectations.wish them good morning with lots of kisses and hugs this will promote positive love atmosphere in kids..

I was wrong.

One of the most difficult parts of parenting is realizing that the way an adult brain works is completely different than a child’s brain.
Adults brains are fueled by logic.
Kids brains are fueled by emotion.
Just show unconditional LOVE to them..

14.MASAAGE BEFORE SLEEP

MASSAGE KIDS WITH AROMA ON NECK AND AYURVEDIC OILS AS I SAY IN WHOLE BODY ESPECIALLY MAHA OIL IT REDUCES VATA AND LEADS TO SOUND SLEEP..

15.Diffuse LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL
This is the tip that has made the BIGGEST difference in our going-to-bed routine! In an attempt to combat sleep disorder, I have started diffusing 3 drops of lavender, mandarin and rose and sandalwood essential oils in kids room during the night.
but there has been one awesome effect that I wasn’t expecting! It normally takes them at least an hour from the time that we put them to bed to the time that they are actually asleep. When I started diffusing these oils at night, my son was asleep within 10-20 minutes! It is seriously a miracle.

16. FEED HIM A PROPER MEAL
A good meal before sleep at least one hour is v important for our kids.. If your baby is solid food make sure he or she eats a good, filling dinner. If you find your baby waking up hungry in the night (and needing a bottle), try offering a little bowl of cereal 20 minutes before bedtime. This often provides the slow burn to help your baby go for longer. AVOID BOTTLE FEEDING AT NIGHT, LEADS TO ROOT CANAL LATER.
Nutrition is an important piece of the sleep puzzle. Ensure that your child has a well balanced diet, no sugar and no caffeine.

17.SMALL AFTERNOON NAP
Not more than one hour of NAP is required for the kid. The moment afternoon nap is small the kid will gradually start sleeping at night for a long time and a good play session after afternoon Nap.

18.KIDS NOT SLEEPING EVEN AFTER A GOOD JOINT MASSAGE press ACUPUNCTURE POINT .
Some times even after a good massage kid is not ready to sleep I faced this problem now
Here’s how to make this work…

Have your child lay down in bed, with the lights off, and completely ready to fall asleep.Sit at the end of her bed, and in your hands put a little lotion and a drop of a soothing essential oil, such as lavender oil, that aids in sleep and relaxation.yeptionally difficult time falling asleep. Even after a long massage, he could not settle her mind and drift off to sleep.

I layed down next to him, and something in me remembered hearing about a calming touch point between a child’s eyes.

I started slowly stroking above the bridge of his nose between his eyes. Almost instantly, I felt his body start to relax a little.

For the next five minutes, I lay there next to him continuing to slowly stroke that spot above his nose and between his eyes. When I stopped for a moment, he started to move a little, so I continued stroking and within a couple more minutes,DHRUVA was asleep.

I was astounded!

Later I googled and learned that what I had discovered was the ACUPUNCTURE POINT YINGTANG

It is sometimes referred to as the most effective acupuncture point and as I luckily found out from our experience, when used as a acupressure point it can help induce sleep.

I am so happy to have learned about this Yingtang acupressure point and I know I’ll be using it more often to help my SON fall asleep and even to help myself as an adult with sleep problems.

I hope all of the above sleep solutions or sleep “tricks” will help you get your child to fall asleep.

20.SENSORY NEEDS.

Any parent who has children with sensory needs can be a challenging endeavour. And when you’re a special needs mom, you need the break that sleep provides!

Children with SENSORY NEED are extra sensitive to these types of things so putting yourself in their shoes may help you pinpoint some of the problems and begin to find solutions.

AUDITORY

Our sons’ sleep was affected because of his extreme auditory sensitivity, which makes it difficult for him to fall asleep if there is any noise (such as his parents watching TV!) in the house. We found that the simplest solution was for him TO SHUT DOWN ALL SOUND He is now able to fall asleep much more quickly. I don’t understand how he sleeps with them on and is still comfortable, but he likes them!

Proprioception (Deep Pressure)

My son was having hard time settling hir body down at bedtime. We found that sleeping with a comfortable blanket changed that for him. He is able to settle himself more easily now. Some kids have heavy blankets and like them while our other sensory kiddos hate them. .
Deep pressure hugs or massages before bedtime can also help with proprioception input.

Visual

Some children need it to be completely dark in order to fall asleep while others need to have a nightlight. It’s a good idea to use a dimmable night light because that way, they can adjust to the amount of light they are comfortable with.
Important Tips:

Be sure to offer a variety of sensory activities throughout the day. Meeting your child’s sensory needs during the day will positively impact your child’s ability to fall asleep at night.

Track patterns and see if you are able to pinpoint things that may be impacting your child’s sleep. Seeing their sleep patterns on a calendar can help you find where their insomnia may be tied to anxiety over school or peers. Seeing their sleep tracked in relation to food or behaviour or sensory triggers can also help you see the patterns that are emerging.

Facilitate positive self-esteem
The interoceptive sense perceives the physiological condition of the internal body. It includes pain, temperature, itch, affectionate touch, sensations from our organs and muscles, hunger, thirst, and air hunger. It also includes “gut” feelings such as calmness, comfort, contentment, happiness, safety, security and warmth. The exteroceptive sense perceives external stimulus outside of the body such as position in space, sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. All these affect our ability to sleep.
Facilitate positive self-esteem is critical to the ability of the person to feel secure enough
to enable a positive sleep experience.

Give affection with appropriate touch to further calm and support emotionally.

Induce a sense of security to help reduce anxiety, particularly for a child, would include
dispelling fears of the dark, ghosts, bugs, “monsters”, etc

Just to add for adults

No clock watching.

When we are having difficulty sleeping, it is common to check the clock to see how long we have been trying to fall asleep and to compute how long it is until we have to wake up to start the day. This is disruptive in two key ways.

First, engaging the cognitive faculties to do this math requires alertness. You have to wake up to a degree in order to complete this task and that interferes with the process of falling asleep.

Second, you are likely to feel anxious or stressed as you do this computation, not relaxed. This is also moving us away from the state of sleep. If you have difficulty adhering to this suggestion, perhaps moving the clock you check, whether it be an alarm clock or your cellphone, into another part of the room where you can’t see or check it–or out of the room completely in the case of cellphones. Clients of mine who have done this seemingly radical step have reported to me that it had a tremendous positive effect on their sleep and overall level of stress.

CHANGING HABITS

Changing habits is really really hard. I’m against spanking, but when I got to that red line point with my kids I didn’t know what else to do. It’s one thing to tell someone what NOT to do – it’s entirely different to then give them another option to try. I didn’t spank my kid, I ended up putting myself in time out, but it took some trial and error to figure out what worked best. Trial and error sucks. It sucks with trying to figure out the right ADHD medication, and it sucks even more with parenting. You get that extra dose of internal guilt – you’re messing up your kids and they’ll need therapy because of you! It’s rarely that dire, but that’s what the thoughts in your head say.

This especially applies, I think, to special needs caregivers. If you weren’t around special needs individuals when you were growing up, there’s a steep learning curve. I often think “I’m failing as a parent” or “I have NO idea what I’m doing”; but then I think of the bond I have with my kids, and that they are happy and healthy. That means I’m doing SOMETHING right. Then I jump into research on what I should be doing instead of whatever’s making me feel like the worst parent in the world. That helps me remember that I can never fail as a parent if I keep trying and keep learning.

One of the most difficult things anyone can do is to change or create a new habit. It takes 21 days actually to enforce one.

As an individual you have to first of all have the desire to change, secondly then have the know-how to implement them, and then the conviction of following it through and therefore making a successful change.

Some questions or typical barriers that come up time after time are from people not having free time to workout, their lives are too busy. This is a ready made excuse to a) not exercise, and b) not cook healthy dinners and prepare lunches for their families.

The first thing we have to establish is, are we ready for change?

If we are not prepared to make a difference to our health, our kids health, and our lives in general, then we as a society should pull together and make sure everybody wants a better future. After all who doesn’t want that.

In fact, if you don’t, then your’e probably not reading this anyway, and the mere fact that you are suggests you are a stage further down the line and wanting to implement some changes.

So you have decided to make changes, good, now you need to make some environmental ones to assist you.

Old habits are hard to break. We are conditioned to think that someone else should bring us a pill to cure us, or a miracle weight loss machine that will take care of the ‘problem’ with little effort on our part.

A habit is a recurrent, often unconscious, pattern of behaviour that is acquired through frequent repetition. Good or bad habits depend on triggers that lead to an action which you benefit from in some way. Habits are so ingrained that breaking them will require effort and conscious decisions each time a trigger is presented to you.

There is no magic bullet. Each person has a unique set of circumstances and individual needs. Therefore wellness and healthy choices have to be made by you. This can be a challenge, since we are each unique in our bodies but also unique in our pattern of bad habits and poor lifestyle choices.

You know why you decided to be a bit healthier for your kids The challenge now is how to start.

Have told everything in my articles now..either food massage or sleep or ACTIVITIES so just start working.

LOVE U ALL….

Hope you have a sound sleep from today

Nighty Night!

Don’t feel discouraged if you try one or two options and they aren’t successful. All kids are different, and children on the spectrum can be immune to a lot of therapies that work for neurotypicals. If one sleep tip doesn’t work, just try another until you find the right solution for your child to get a better night’s sleep.

Did I leave something out? What works for your child? Let me know in the comments! I love to hear from you!

Come on mommies get charged up and geared up and make the move..

DO KIDS REALLY SHOW TANTRUMS AND WHAT IS MELTDOWN !!!! PART ONE BY SNEHA NARAYAN

Since it’s now 1.5 months I have been writing blogs on Autism and working with parents

I was eagerly waiting who will ask this question on my group. first dose who have name this problem Autism they only say that these emotional outbursts are called Tantrums

DO KIDS REALLY SHOW TANTRUM??

WHAT IS MELTDOWN???

screenshot_2018-07-21-07-01-32-429_com716279322.png

To Especially,

Benish ,Meet ,Ruby, Shilima and to all the parents i know…

First those who have named this problem as Autism they make us believe that the child is crying because he is throwing TANTRUMS and later this immense TANTRUM turn out to an EMOTIONAL MELTDOWN.Believe me your perception towards your kids will change after reading this article.its my personal story and our journey.

WHAT IS TANTRUM IN MY TERMS!!!

Tantrum is pure mischief kids do to attain parents attention.we give them the things they want in-spite of the fact that they cannot speak they calm down but MELTDOWN is a problem to worry about..

meltdowns

WHAT IS MELTDOWN IN MY TERMS!!!!

A meltdown is ‘an intense response to overwhelming situations’.

FOR PARENTS ITS DISTRESSING, PAINFUL BOTH FOR A KIDS AND PARENTS AND EMBRACING FOR PARENTS. It happens when someone becomes completely overwhelmed by their current situation and temporarily loses behavioral control. This loss of control can be expressed verbally (eg SHOUTING, SCREAMING, CRYING), physically (eg KICKING, lashing out, PINCHING, BITING, HAND FLAPPING,HEAD BANGING,) or in both way.
MELTDOWN

  • IS NOT A BEHAVIOR
  • IS NOT A TANTRUM
  • IS NOT A CHOICE

MELTDOWN are of two types I say:

HAPPY MELTDOWN

its a condition where in kids are excited and jump and laugh and sometimes cry out of happiness or excitement.NOT to worry for this kind of meltdown.handle these SITUATION with unconditional love.

SENSORY MELTDOWN..

When a person experiences too much sensory stimulation, their central nervous system is overwhelmed and unable to process all of the input. It’s a physiological ‘traffic jam’ in your central nervous system and the sensory over stimulation causes a physiological response and sometimes even a sensory meltdown. Because many children with autism are unable to self-regulate, sensory overload can result in sensory-based meltdowns.THERE MIND IS BUSY IN REGULATING PROBLEMS ARISING IN THERE BODY DUE TO ADULTERATED FOOD.SO THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND OUR DEMANDS AS PARENTS FROM THEM..THEY ARE IN PAIN HELP THEM COME OUT OF THIS SITUATION.

QUESTION COMES WHY THESE BEHAVIOR,TANTRUM OR MELTDOWN (SENSORY OVERLOAD)ARISE IN KIDS ???

Since the “VATA Dosha” in the body is high of almost all the autistic kids and they are not able to express their feelings verbally they express these through meltdown or tantrums. Other behaviors that we see in our kids but are less explosive but are equally common, such as refusing to interact, withdrawing from situations they find challenging, or avoiding them altogether, repetitive behavior, toe walking,no eye contact,no respond to name ,problem in nail and hair cutting, putting things in mouth, closing there ears due to sound, closing there eyes due to light, etc there is a long list of these behaviors…

Am i right all the kids behave in some or the other manner like this ????All these problems are due to increased VATA Dosha in the kids body.TODAY will explain you this point of TANTRUM and MELTDOWN through my story or u can say my journey to overcome AUTISM in my SONS LIFE.
My own son used to cry like 14 hours in a day and I was so much into depression I used to ask the doctor and Therapist and they just had only one answer ‘ TANTRUM THROW KAR RAHA HAI APKA BACCHA APNE ZIDD MANWANE KE LIYEA KOI PROBLEM NAHI HAI USE YE TO BUS NATAK HAI ” o my god after listening these words again and again I thought that yes my child just keeps on throwing tantrums whole day,he just wants to go things his way but BELIEVE ME this was the biggest mistake I did that I thought this way.
Thinking ,till date today I am very GUILTY because I am the mom of my child still I believed these people saying that he is just throwing tantrums and it is just he want things to be done in his ways after reading this story of mine you will be proud to think that the kids of ours detected with Autism are in deep pain 😥

autism-dont-judge-what-you-dont-understand-autism-autismawareness-15879601.png

I am telling these things to you parents because I want you to know and understand what is MELTDOWN and TANTRUM please read it very carefully.Writing this story in HINDI as many have requested me to do so.Will later publish this article in ENGLISH ALSO..KIDS MELTDOWN BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU ARE THERE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.

MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

We could not afford to go to any of the places,no outings ,no mall,no where. We both His dad and I are travel freaks by road. “Car uthao aur Nikal jate they 15 days par India..tour but jab mere bete ko ye problems shuru huei to hamara SAB jagah Jana band ho Gaya Na ghumne ,na mall,na MOVIE THEATRE..24hrs just staying at home listening him cry cry and cry whole day..

AP SAB KO SHAYAD BELIEIVE HO YA NA HO JAB MERE BETA HONE WALA THA TO HUM DONO KO MOVIE DEKHNA THEATRE MAY JA KAR BHUT PASAND THE..
But ye bhi malum that ke bacche ke AJ Jane ke Baad to 4 saal ye possible nahi Hoga theatre ja kar movie dekhna to hum us samay jab beta hone wala tha to naye ghar par shift hone wale they to humne is ghar ka interior nahi Kara ke 8 lakhs kharch karke ghar par he projector screen. Ka setup kar dala RECLINER CHAIRS ,BOSE home theatre etc..
Ke Jane do ab ghar par ke dekh lenge.you can see the viode on youtube channel JOURNEY TOWARDS NEW LIFE.

Dekha bhi projector par movies jab beta 1.5yra tak ka tha to usi ke saath dekhte they..but fir usko adat lagne lagi.har samay Dhruva Ko projector he chahiyea tha hame Laga itne bade screen may dekhega to uske EYES KHARAB HO jayenge to decide Kiya ke chalo projector band aur TV he dikhate hai.

Fir shuru hua TV dekhna
Humne decide Kiya tha ke TV dikhana hai to sirf EDUCATIONAL he dekhega jaise ke RHYMES, ABCD, Number’s,etc. every new parent of our generation has this thinking..kabhi bhi kuch aur nahi dikhaya..Ab ghar par ye scene tha ke bus din may 3 se 4 ghante TV he dekh raha tha beta.Subah ke do ghante Mai bhi aaram se kaam kar leti the cooking anh household chores bete ko TV ke samne baitha ke aur MATLAB mere mentality aise ho Gaye the ke kuch bhi kaam hai bete ko shan’t Rakhna hai to TV ke samne baitha do.fir kya wo shan’t aur bus karo Sara kaam.. ye hum sare parents karte hai I am sure ..
“PATA HAI IS BAAT KO ACCEPT KARNE KE LIYE BAHUT GUTS CHAHIYE PARENTS KO KI HUM APNE COMFORT LEVEL KE LIYE BACCHO KO TV KE SAMNE BAITHA DETE HAI, mobile de dete hain. HAME LAGTA HAI KI TV DEKHTE HUEA BACCHA TO KHUSH HAI TO SARE KAAM NIPTA LO.”YAHAN TAK KI HAAL AISA HO GAYA THA KI BETA MERA BINA TV DEKH KE KHANA BHI NAHI KHATA THA.BUT KHANA KHATA THA AUR JAISE HE TV BAND SARA KHANA BAHAR VOMIT KAR DETA THA..

I am sure ye problems yahan most of the parents nay face ke hongi..

But fir jab mera beta 2.2 ka hua Aur usme autistic features Aane Lage Toh Phir Wo TV Ko Apne pain se correlate kar liya.Jab bhi meltdown hota pain se scream karke rota to TV ke samne Baitha dete poems on karke to khush ho jata tha SAB Rona, screaming, legs kicking ,head banging SAB band ho jata tha..
To hame Laga ye SAB TANTRUMS hai Jaan brooch kar karta hai ye SAB..

513-infographic-the-effects-of-too-much-screentime-Copie-Copie
Din beete situations aur kharab ho Gaya ab din bhar mera beta rota rehta that aur bus TV chahiyea SAB therapist login nay hamare dimag may ye bhar diya ke ye TANTRUMS HAI…MAI bhi din bhar bete ko datne lagi irritated rehne lagi.. Therapy jao ek din may 3 class, ghar ka sara kaam karo, phir din bhar beta rota rehta tha husband ship par situations bhut mushkil ho gayi the manage karna, khud ke liyea bilkul bhi time nahi..

640x360

Parlour jane tak ka time nahi mil pata tha.. I was getting into depression.ke Apne BACCHE KO khush nahi RAKH pa Rahi thi ,parenting nahi aata mujhe , nuclear family the Mai akele husband ship par due to some reasons inlaws bhi nahi aa kar reh sakte they mere ghar may to akele bhut DIKKAT ho Rahi the bete ko handle karne may..
Ye sari baat Maine uske developmental Pediatrician aur Therapist se poocho to Bolte hai TANTRUM hai ye aur TV dekhne ke liyea MELTDOWN hota hai Apne baat MANWANE ke liyea. Aisa karta hai baccha and believe me maine in batton par yakeen kar liya ..YE MERE LIFE KA SABSE BADE GALTI THE YE KE EK MA HOKAR MAI APNE BACCHE KO SAMJHD NAHI PAYE..
Aur jaise jaise din beete rahe akele ek time Aya ke TV DEKH KAR BHI BETA SHANT NAHI HO RAHA THA 😭😭😭😭AB TO PROBLEM AUR BADH GAYE..KAISE HANDLE KARUN MAI ISKO.YE THA MELTDOWN SITUATION WHOLE DAY CRYING ,SCRACHING,BITING , HITTING ,HEAD BANGING, THROWING THINGS 😭😭.Mujhe itna to pata tha ke ye SAB natural nahi hai kuch to galat ho Raha hai BACCHE ke saath..but kya ye samajh may nahi aa Raha tha..to thak ke ekdin.

Finally I GAVE UP ,maine Rishi Ko call Kiya ship par aur bola ke nahi Hoga mujhse I cannot handle our son..mujhe uska ye din bhar Rona bardash nahi hai yaar ghar aajao jao…I was begging him to come home and handle both of us..Immediately Rishi nay company may baat ke aur 2din Baad ghar aa Gaye contract HALF may he chor kar..
Other side mere mom bhi mere din raat rone se pareshan the coz din raat Mai unko phone par ye SAB batati the..
She is an advocate by profession. Aur Mumma ka ek stationery aur Xerox ka acha khasa running shop tha.She left whole shop with staff and came Immediately to my home.
Ab hum teeno mil kar bhi bete ka ye SAB problems nahi solve kar pa rehen they..wo din bhar RESTLESS REHTA THA ,CRYING ,KHANA NAHI KHANA , HEAD BANGING ,SCRATCHING,PINCHING, JUMPING…2 hours restless..

ITNA RESTLESSNESS aur HYPERAVTIVITY BADH GAYA KE TRAMPOLINE may 2 ghante nonstop jump karta tha ..Fir hame ye Laga chalo TV se to calm down nahi ho Raha to BUNJEE se ho Raha hai use accha lagne Laga to Rishi immediately Gaye aur hum EK TRAMPOLINE ghar par he le aye.SAME AS THE BELOW PICTURE.

Itna bada trampoline ghar le aye ghar ke bahar lift ke pass Rakha tha.
Hum teen mil kar nahi Sambhal pa rehen they ek 3yrs ke Bachche KO ..

To beta bhut khush rehne Laga atleast Laga ke chalo TV se to bahar Aya but kya pata tha ke ye nahi musibat le aye hai ghar..ab wo HYPER ACTIVE ke TARAF BADH raha tha..aur ye sare symptoms jaise ke cryig, screaming head banging scratching kicking pinching irritated restless rehna ke saath ab hyperactive bhi.

Three therapy class in one day and he was just tired of performing there ,I use to get up early Sara khana Bana kar 9 “o” clock ready to go for therapy class all day.THERAPY KE CHAKKAR MAY NO SCHOOL ALSO.STOPPED SENDING HIM SCHOOL ALSO.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLASS

OT may he was not willing to do physical exercise as his muscle tone was v low use to get tired very Soon but tharapist use to make him do all task jitna bhi roye bus karna he hai.SHE USES TO TELL ME THIS IS HIS TANTRUM TO ESCAPE THE TASK AND I USE TO THINK THAT SHE IS CORRECT WE SHOULD FORCE HIM TO COMPLETE THE TASK AND SHOULD NOT LET HIM ESCAPE THE TASK KEPT INFRONT OF HIM.

OCCUPATIONAL therapy may tunnel aur baki SAB heavy exercise jo bilkul nahi advised hai in chote baccho ke liyea aur my poor boy was forced to do all these ye kitna galat hai heavy exercise chote kids Ko Karana IS NOT ADVISABLE TILL THE AGE OF 5 YEARS .THIS I GOT TO KNEW WHEN I joined PUNE Running club.

Non of my trainers advised me to to make him do those heavy exercise these therapist use to make him do.They just told me to taken him walking, running and trekking that’s it for 5yrs of age then start with strength training and other sports activity.Dhruva is always doing” SHEERSHASANA” SO JUST ONE WEEK BACK WE TOOK HIM TO GYMNASTICS STADIUM NEAR MY HOUSE ,THE TEACHER WAS NOT READY TO TALK AT FIRST HE SAID COME TO ME WHEN HE IS 5YRS OF AGE TOO SMALL FOR ALL THIS.
THEN SPEECH THERAPY CLASS
Bolo apple bole Banana, orange bolo car bolo”FOR 45 MINUTES he used to get pissed off so much ke bus poocho mat.IN 6 months of therapy I changed 3 speech therapist non of them told me about MOUTH MASSAGE.ONE THERAPIST JO PUNE KE BHUT RENOWNED THERAPIST TOOK 1000 RS FOR ASSESSMENT AUR EK LAMBA LIST DE DIYA MOUTH EXERCISE KA JAISE BLOWING SUCKING SIPPING ETC agar ye SAB mujhe ATA Dhuruva Ko kaise sikhana hai to Mai use is therapist ke pass Kyun le jati.BIG question??

NOW COMES MOST HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
ABA THERAPY CLASS…

Naam nahi lete hai but Haan ye wo therapist hai jiska khud ka 16 YRS ka autistic baccha hai THAT LADY nay mere bete ko chocolates aur biscuits ka ADDICT Bana diya tha.IS SEVERE AUTISM SITUATION MAY BHI usnay bete ko MATCHING sikha diya CHOCOLATE DE DE KAR . Mai bhut khush HO GAYI wo MOTHER TURNED THERAPIST BHAGWAN ban Gaye mere liyea but kaise sikhati the ek byte chocolate aur
Fir matching ya beeds dalo FIR CHOCOLATE AS “REINFORCER “MATLAB lagta that ek BEZUBAN ANIMAL Ko sikha Rahi the JAISE DOGS KO TRAIN KARTE HAIN SORRY FOR MY HARSH WORDS BUT SITUATION AIS HE THA..that mom turned therapist ko pata tha GFCFSF diet ke bare may but she never told me to follow this was always misguiding us.her home where we use to takemy son for aba was 1 hrs drive from my home for a 45 min session.

baccha kuch kuch Sikh bhi Gaya is approach se but iss hadd tak chocolates aur biscuits ka habit ho Gaya ke khana band sirf chocolate or biscuit chahiye use…
Hume to laga ki ise chocolate biscuit pasand hai but backend may iski body mein jo ho raha tha woh toh pata hi nahi tha uska VAAT bhut badh Gaya aur central nervous system affect kar diya ..and server au…t..m features aa Gaye SAB.. therapist aur doctor’s sab nay bol diya kuch nahi ho Sakta is BACCHE ke 😭😭😭
Fhir kya tha Mai dead DEPRESSION Mai..😭😭😭din raat Rona nahi Sona beta to pehele he Apne body se pareahan tha jo ke hame nahi pata tha aur Mai ye dekh dekh kar.. depressing may.
DHRUVA STARTED HATING US DUE TO THESE HARASSING THERAPIES I A DAY.HE USES TO GET MORE IRRITATED NOW NO EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TOWARDS US PREFERRED TO STAY ALONE ALL THE TIME.LOST EYE CONTACT,RESPOND TO NAME,NO CHOICE OF FOOD ETC..LONG LIST OF THESE FEATURES BUT HIS FACE WOULD TELL ME ALWAYS” MOM PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE UNDERSTAND MY PAIN”.

PRECIOUS INDIAN COW- REALITY OF MILK BY Sneha Narayan

REALITY OF A1 AND A2 MILK..

HOW IT EFFECTS KIDS HEALTH by SNEHA NARAYAN

Just got the info from my mentor about the milk we are drinking .After knowing WHAT MILK WE AND OUR CHILDREN ARE DRINKING…was shocked..just thought of sharing this post will all the mommies out there..

what is in a glass of milk that we drink and expect to receive in our body..

A1 and A2 are the two types of known cow milk available for consumption which are generic variant of the beta-casein milk protein that differ by one amino acid .All milk was once of the A2 type, until a genetic mutation occurred thousands of years ago in some European cattle. The A1 beta-casein type is the most common type found in cow’s milk in Europe (excluding France), the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Cows that have the mutated beta casein are called A1 cows and include breeds like Holstein.

TOPICS TO BE COVERED

  • What Is Wrong with A1 Milk?
  • The Difference Between A1 and A2 Milk
  • When Did the A1 Mutation Start?
  • What is BCM7?
  • Is There a Direct Relationship Between A1 Milk and Autism?
  • Risk of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
  • Does A1 Milk Harm Your Heart?
  • Does A1 Milk Cause SIDS?
  • Is A1 Milk the Major Cause of Lactose Intolerances.
  • What Is Wrong with A1 Milk
  • DOES A2 MILK EXISTS?????

Our ‘desi’ cows fall under the A2 category. In 2011, the Indian scientists at the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR) proclaimed that the A2 allele gene in Indian milk breeds of cows and buffalos are 100 per cent, while in foreign breeds, it is around 60 per cent. New Zealand farmers have stopped cross breeding of A2 milk producing cows with A1 milk producing European breeds of cows. A2 milk is now considered the only safe and desirable milk fit for human consumption and is being sold across Australia, Japan and Korea and USA.

Why then, in India, at a time when scientists are extolling the virtues of the A2 variant of milk produced by our “desi” cows and shunning the A1 variant of milk produced by the European breeds, the National Diary Development Board [NDDB] continues to import Holstein bulls known for the A1 variant of milk?

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A1 AND A2 MILK..

A1 and A2 proteins affect the body differently.

When A1 protein is digested in the small intestine, it produces a peptide called beta-casomorphin-7 (BCM-7). The intestines absorb BCM-7, and it then passes into the blood. Doctors have linked BCM-7 to stomach discomfort and symptoms similar to those experienced by people with lactose intolerance.

The structure of A2 protein is more comparable to human breast milk, as well as milk from goats, sheep, and buffalo.

A1 vs A2 Cows Milk: What’s the Difference, Benefits, & Nutrition

There is an ongoing debate about the nutritional value of both A1 and A2 milk.

Growing number of studies from top milk-producing countries Australia, New Zealand, and some European nations enumerate the benefits of A2 milk and the health risks associated with continuous consumption of A1 milk. This article will look at the differences between A1 and A2 milk, as well as available evidence that support the A1 vs A2 debate.

At present, there are two types of cow’s milk available in the market, A1 and A2 milk. The majority of cows that are being raised in the United States and other parts of the globe are A1 variety.Milk produced by A1 cows supposedly produces opiate-like effects resulting in the development of mild to serious medical conditions .

The protein component in milk is made up of up to 80% casein .

Milk has several types of casein and beta casein is the second most common type casein in cow’s milk. Beta-casein comes in 13 different forms .

A1 beta-casein comes from the most common cow breed that originated in Australia, United States, and Northern Europe. Holstein, Friesian, Ayrshire, and British Shorthorn features A1 beta-casein genetic material. A1 beta-casein can be found on all commercially-prepared milk.

A2 beta-casein is protein found in milk produced by ‘old-fashioned’ cows like the Jersey, Charolais, Guernsey, and Limousin. Milk produced by other mammals such as those from human, goat, and sheep is similar to A2 dairy milk mainly due to the presence of proline .
A1 is considered a genetic mutation that results in the production of the compound BCM7 assumed to be causing the development of unwanted health conditions and illnesses among consumers.

screen-shot-2017-10-24-at-7-56-07-pm

When Did the A1 Mutation Start?

The A1 gene mutation began hundreds of years ago from Holstein cow breed that was then passed onto other breeds .This mutation of the A1 beta-casein proved to be highly beneficial to dairy farmers who wanted to increase milk production without the added costs. A2 milk is found in milk and dairy products produced by older cow breeds, have not been manipulated in any way. Thus many regard it as the better type of casein protein. It is found in milk we consume along with A1 milk.

A2 milk is produced by A2 Milk Company, and contains no A1 beta-casein.The difference between A1 and A2 is in the amino acid chain numbers. At this position, A2 features proline whilst A1 is linked with This mutation in the amino acid chain link of A1 milk is supposed to cause adverse effects in humans, whilst making A2 milk the healthier option.

What is BCM7?

BCM7 (Beta-casomorphin-7), an opioid peptidein A1 beta-casein is produced as a result of the breaking off of histidine in the number 67 amino acid chain during digestion .

BCM7 is the reason why regular cow’s milk is considered to be a less healthy option than milk containing A2 beta-casein. BCM7 found in A1 milk is known to have opioid or narcotic side effects and is identified to be the culprit of lactose intolerance in 1 out 4 Americans. The absorption of BCM7 into the bloodstream leads to the high incidence of autism, schizophrenia, and other neurological disorder.

download

Despite extensive and ongoing research, the extent of BCM-7 absorption into the bloodstream still remains unknown.Studies reveal that BCM-7 is absent in the blood of healthy adults, whilst presence of BCM-7 in infants is a possibility .
The presence of BCM7 in A1 milk makes it a less attractive dairy option due to the problems that are assumed to develop as a result of consumption of A1 milk.

Is There a Direct Relationship Between A1 Milk and Autism?

Autism is a developmental disorder characterized by disabilities including problems with social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviors.

It was theorized that BCM-7 plays a crucial role in the development of autism in children.Although there have been numerous studies trying to link A1 milk to autism, there are still no solid proof that can verify this hypthesis. In a study conducted by Russian researchers, high amounts of BCM-7 were found in the urine of infants with autism that were fed with milk formula.Over time, there were infants that showed the ability to metabolize BCM-7 at a fast rate, whilst there are those who showcased inability to process and excrete BCM-7 and other peptides altogether.

The study also reveals that those who were fed with formula milk exemplified delayed psychomotor development as well as high levels of BCM-7 in their bloodstream.

On the other hand, infants with autism that were breastfed or those under Gluten-free, Casein-free or GFCF diet displayed more developmental improvements with no traces of BCM-7 in their bloodstream .Due to some observation from these studies, there are some nutritionists who have started recommending parents of children with autism to start supplementing their diets with A2 milk.

Making the switch from common A1 milk to A2 milk is supposed to be beneficial for child afflicted with autism.Major improvements have been observed among children who regularly consume A2 milk sourced from Guernsey cows due to its high A2 beta casein at 95%.

Those who opted to provide their children with A2 milk also reported improvement in digestive function, communication skills, and eye contact.there is no alternative to milk..

19956235_10155689969224276_1629486784420398662_o-2

Another study reveals that drinking cow’s milk over time may potentially exacerbate the symptoms among children with autism. There are also studies that showed that drinking A1 or A2 milk has no effect on overall behaviour .With autism, there are more than one cause to its development.Despite numerous studies that link autism symptoms to A1 milk consumption, researchers still need to find out more solid connections for the negative effects of A1 milk among children with autism.

My son Dhruva was not able to digest this adulterated milk was affected a lot by milk adulteration it is the casine in milk which we cannot digest but when I give him good quality A2 milk which I am make sure that it has been taken out in front of me so with that milk he can easily digest homemade ice creams homemade cakes gluten free cakes so that’s the beauty of pure A2 milk.

Risk of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is an autoimmune disease that typically develops in children. The illness is characterized by the inability of the body to produce insulin.Based on epidemiological evidence, the consumption of A1 milk is a contributing factor in the increased risk of development diabetes type 1 among children .Human breast milk contains A2 beta-casein only whereas pasteurized milk formulations may either contain A1/A1 beta-casein or A1/A2 beta casein.

Does A1 Milk Harm Your Heart?

According to New Zealand research conducted by CNS McLachlan, the regular intake of common milk containing A1 beta-casein inspires the development of coronary heart disease .

Does A1 Milk Cause SIDS?

The most common cause of death in infants less than one year of age is identified to be Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS.It is unexpected infant death without clear or visible cause (28).Some researchers hypothesized that BCM-7 from A1 beta-casein may be the culprit in some cases of SIDs.

As some mothers may opt to breastfeed their babies up to 2 years of age, there are also those who prefer to provide their newborns with instant milk formulations instead .In one study, high levels of BCM-7 in the bloodstream were found among infants suffering from sleep apnea or temporary breathing patterns during sleep.Sleep apnea has been linked to an increased incidence of SIDS (15).

BCM-7 penetration into a newborn’s central nervous system may potentially inhibit normal respiratory system functioning as evidenced by abnormal respiratory breathing, hypoxia, and excessive levels of carbon dioxide resulting in sudden death .

Results obtained from these studies also tell us that some children may be suffering from hypersensitivity issues to A1 beta-casein in cow’s milk.

Is A1 Milk the Major Cause of Lactose Intolerance?

Based on studies, 1 in 4 Americans suffer from lactose intolerance – the inability if the digestive system to process milk resulting in the development of unpleasant symptoms such as stomach upsets, diarrhea, flatulence, and bloating to name a few.

A1 and A2 milk feature the same lactose concentrations. The makers of A2 milk contend that lactose is not the real suspect for the development of lactose intolerance, but a mutation caused by A1 beta-casein, a compound found in store-brought milk and dairy products. Some researchers say drinking A2 milk causes less digestive issues than milk containing A1 beta-casein .

Studies that support these claims reveal that apart from lactose, there are other milk components that bring about unwanted digestive problems. It was also suggested by scientists that certain proteins present in milk may be the major suspects in some cases of milk intolerance.

A Request to Indian Government…to save cow..

Why does our Indian Government, continue with its program of animal breeding and development policies that target the replacement and supposed “up-gradation” of our indigenous breeds with exotic Holstein Friesians and Jerseys, imported from Australia and the US?

India has about 37 pure cattle breeds. Five of these — Sahiwal, Gir, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar and Rathi — are known for their milking prowess. A few others, such as Kankrej, Ongole and Hariana, belong to dual breeds that have both milch and draught qualities. The rest are pure draught breeds.

1409423136

It is observed that when official data records the average yield of indigenous cows as 2.2 kg daily, it clubs these dual breeds and non-dairy draught breeds together with the five top milch breeds and so undermines the performance of India’s best milch cows, such as Girs and Rathis — while establishing supremacy of the exotic cattle. Over the years, this has justified a policy that discards Indian milch breeds to promote exotic hybrids. First we blame our cows for low milk yield without considering the field constraints. Then we replace those cows with exotic breeds that are more vulnerable to the same constraints. The sheer fatality of exclusively promoting exotic cattle over “desi” cattle is much evident.

The 12th Five-year plan (2012-2017) continues to lend official status to the Government’s exercise of increasing productivity of milch animals by importing foreign breeds for insemination and cross-breeding. Are we hurtling towards an impending disaster? We fear for the future of our children.

Meanwhile, our desi breeds keep setting new records abroad. The flourishing of our Gir cattle in Brazil is sufficient proof of how ‘desi’ cows can perform with adequate support and care.

On the one hand, our new Government is promoting the “Make in India” policy, while on the other hand, it’s “Import” Policy in respect of Live Stock is steadily destroying our superior breed of ‘desi’ cows.

IMPORTANCE OF COW IN INDIAN CULTURE…

Millions of people revere and worship cows.people raise the status of Mother to the level of Goddess. Therefore, the cow is considered a sacred animal, as it provides us life sustaining milk. The cow is seen as a maternal figure, a care taker of her people. The cow is a symbol of the divine bounty of earth.

17879821_1254313664681174_7151457807900483799_o.jpg

Lord Krishna, one of the most well known of the Hindu deities is often depicted playing his flute amongst cows and dancing Gopis (milkmaids). He grew up as a cow herder. Krishna also goes by the names Govinda and Gopala, which literally mean “friend and protector of cows.” It is considered highly auspicious for a true devotee to feed a cow, even before eating breakfast oneself.

haryana-cow1774203782.jpg

Throughout the Vedic scriptures there are verses which emphasize that the cow must be protected and cared for. It is considered a sin to kill a cow and eat its meat. Even today in India, there are many states in which the slaughter of cows is illegal. That is why you can find cows roaming freely all over India, even along the busy streets of Delhi and Mumbai.

Ayurveda is a big proponent of the sattvicqualities of milk and dairy products. That is why most Hindus are vegetarian, but not vegan. Fresh, organic milk, yogurt, buttermilk, paneer (homemade cheese) and ghee, are all considered highly nutritious, and an important part of the diet. Not only do these dairy products provide important protein and calcium for our tissues, but are sources of Ojas, which gives our body strength and immunity.

Besides their milk, cows also provide many practical purposes, and are considered a real blessing to the rural community. On the farm, bulls are used to plough the fields and as a means of transportation of goods. Even Lord Shiva’s trusted vehicle is Nandi– the sacred bull.

Cow dung is saved and used for fuel, as it is high in methane, and can generate heat and electricity. Many village homes are plastered with a mud/cow dung mixture, which insulates the walls and floors from extreme hot and cold temperatures. Cow dung is also rich in minerals, and makes an excellent fertilizer. There is a big organic farming movement in India to return to ancient methods of utilizing cow dung to re-mineralize the depleted soil.

In such a spiritual land as India, one can find religious ceremonies taking place at any time and any place. Spiritual “yagnas” are fire ceremonies that performed to thank the Gods and receive their blessings. Cows even play a central role in these fire yagnas or Agnihotras. Scientific research has found that the ritual of burning cow dung and ghee as fuel for these sacred fires, actually purifies the air, and has anti-pollutant and anti-radiation qualities in the environment.

Ayurveda understands that some physical and emotional health crisis can not be healed by diet and herbs alone. They need the deeper and subtler healing of these types of Vedic ritual ceremonies to clear astrological past karma. The holy cow again offers its bounty by providing the ingredients in the Panchamrit, or blessed drink, that is distributed after the ceremony. Panchamrit translates as “sacred ambrosia” or “nectar of the gods” and is made up of 5 items – milk, yogurt, ghee, honey and sugar. By drinking this sweet prasadam, one is infused with the divine energy created during the puja, and is healed.
The Indian breeds of cows are a crucial part of the country’s ecological heritage. In the past, these breeds were developed in different parts of the subcontinent by selecting the best animals for their preferred traits such as milking capacity, draught power, feeding requirements, capacity to adapt to local weather, immunity, etc. The purity of such breeds was maintained with great discipline and wisdom in each breeding tract.

However, since the sixties, in a bid to increase the production of cow milk, the Indian Government has resorted to “cross-breeding” by using foreign bulls and semen. How damaging this has been is evident from the gradual extinction of our low-maintenance, superior and enduring variety of native breed of cows. Instead, we are now confronted with the progressive creation of expensive hybrids that require air-conditioned stalls, costly feed and medical care.

“Devil in the Milk” by Dr. Keith Woodford, an internationally published book, a ground-breaking product of extensive research, is an eye-opener. It examines the link between a protein in the A1 type of milk produced by many cows in the United States and North European countries and a range of serious illnesses including diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis, sudden infant death syndrome, neurological impairment, autistic and schizophrenic changes.

Let us together make a clarion call – then and there itself

  • Let us together join hands to secure our children’s future by saving our Indian breed of cows from extinction. Pass message to our Government to stop the “import of the exotic breed of cattle for the purpose of cross-breeding and insemination of Indian cows”.
  • pass message to our Government to extend the “Make in India” mantra towards our Cows…. “Develop and Promote our Indian Breed of Cattle”.

Our culture is like our blood. Just as blood plays a crucial role in our physical functioning, cultural plays a crucial role in our social functioning. Just as we often notice our blood only when we start losing it due to a wound, we often notice our culture only when we start losing it due to an invading culture. Just as we may not even notice the loss of blood if the wound is subtle or internal, many people don’t even notice the loss of culture when the invading culture wounds subtly by changing their internal values. Just as we need an x-ray vision to recognize the reality and gravity of the loss of blood, people need an intellectual x-ray vision to recognize the reality and gravity of the loss of culture.

What is happening in India today is nothing short of cultural genocide: clinical and total suppression or annihilation of native religion, language, dress, food, customs and symbols. Unlike other forms of genocide, where the victims resist and retaliate, cultural genocide often transforms its intended victims into its intentional instruments through value-perverting media like ads, billboards and commercials. These media window-dresses and dubs this cultural genocide as progress. Consequently, people embrace as symbols of progress the trappings of the invading materialistic culture: the skimpy dresses, the gaudy trinkets, the noisy musicals, the smutty gossips, and the JUNKY FOOD.The Bhagavad-gita (16.8-9) points to this self-chosen tragedy when it outlines how the ungodly become misled into celebrating untrammeled materialism as welcome progress. Those thus misled neglect and reject as regressive outside-in approaches to cultural protection like moralizing or moral policing.

0

Just as the cultural genocide worked inside-out, the cultural revival needs to work inside-out. This inside-out approach begins with urging people to undertake an intellectual introspection of their identity and destiny.we are dying bodies struggling in vain to satisfy our craving minds. This gloomy prognosis is becoming evident in the chilling statistics of depression, addiction, suicide, divorce and youth delinquency that inevitably haunt materialistic cultures.

A similar intellectual examination of Gita wisdom reveals a much brighter picture of our identity and destiny: we are everlasting souls with the potential for unfettered spiritual happiness. Our potential for happiness is tethered by unrestrained materialism and is unleashed by holistic living that gives due weightage to both our material and spiritual sides. This holistic living was integral to the devotional culture of ancient India. It served as a time-honored expressway for millions for millennia to activate and achieve their potential for inner happiness. Over time when people forgot this purpose of the devotional culture and became allured by the promises of materialism, then they started seeing the culture as restrictive and regressive.

But when Gita wisdom helps people grasp the purpose and potential of India’s devotional culture, then they start realizing that the culture that has sheltered and guides their ancestors for millennia is their indispensable and irreplaceable national legacy. This recognition inspires them to preserve that culture zealously – not just as a fossil from their national past, but as a freeway to their spiritual future. Pls save cow..

DOES REAL A2 MILK EXISTS???

Updating this paragraph after one month of writing this article.

One parent asked me on my group Can we give A2 milk to my kid ..??

Amit not sure of milk as me and my husband have visited 3 cattle places near our home that places claimS to give pure A2 milk around 100 RS kg but have seen 1 jersey and 10 or 20 desi cow, they for sure mix..both MILK as jersey gives 10 TO 20 litres a day and our desi gives just 2 to 3 litres a day.

There are more factors what Medicine they give to cow. Have seen some sulphuric NITRATE Content medicine AND INJECTIONS for desi cow too..

So pata nahi baby ke body may ja ke kya asar karega..
I was giving milk since last 10 days but I saw changes happening Dhruva thoda hyperactive lagne Laga mujhe so ab to soch liya hai no milk for him..
And I haven’t given him milk for like those 8 months of his recovery.

So NO MILK OF ANY KIND IN DIET. AS JAISE GULTEN FREE ATA NAHI HOTA WAISE PURE A2 milk nahi hota for me..rest your choice..Amit..

If u can keep desi cow at your home and do not give them injection and harmful medicines and feed them grass , if feasible then surely u can give milk to your kid.

come on mommies get charged up and geared up and make the move…

love u all…

Water(Aquatic,Hydro) Therapy by Sneha Narayan

Autism spectrum disorders manifest in a number of ways, from problems with behavior and communication to developmental and cognitive disabiliities.
Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are increasing in prevalence. Children with ASDs present with impairments in social interactions; communication; restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests, or activities; as well as motor delays. Hydrotherapy is used as a treatment for children with disabilities and motor delays.

For me also was struggling through all these\n in Dhruva 1.5 years back but meet a renowned Doctor (orthopedic MD) who has even treated Sachin Tendulkar..to discuss Dhruva’s Muscle tone problem..and he just advised 2 hrs WATER PLAY DAILY BY FAIL.

This therapy helped us a lot to develop bonding with him.

One common treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders is aquatic therapy or hydrotherapy and steam therapy.

In this therapy use water immersion to achieve therapeutic gains that may be too difficult for a child to attain through land-based physical therapies.
Hydrotherapy is a natural remedy for treating medical conditions using water. Hydrotherapy can come in the forms of steam, vapor, water, and ice and it has benefits for various ailments in adults. Did you know that Hydrotherapy can benefit children with ailments, too? It sure can! Hydrotherapy for children is more common than we think. What makes it better? Children love water, whether playing in a pool or even in the backyard with a garden hose.

For 2 months we have been following as advised by doctor and wonders happened his stability and balance has improved ..his sensory need got fulfilled and was more happy and calm..after water play.

    Benefits of water therapy

Being submerged in water provides calming support, pressure, and buoyancy that helps kids on the autism spectrum develop their sensory processing skills, reach new physical milestones, and strengthen their social skills and self-regulation abilities.
It’s not necessary you require a swimming pool .you can even have a small plastic tub to carry water therapy.

Try taking the baby to beaches..it not only helps to bond child with parents but also improves social communication..

Note: “Hydrotherapy” and “aquatic therapy” are used interchangeably in this blog post

A few ways aquatic therapy can help ease symptoms of ASD are:

  • Better Balance. Aquatic therapy helps strengthen muscles, which increases balance and develops better range of motion. It helps that water play is fun and individualized, even for kids on the spectrum.
  • Better Communication Skills. Being in the water doesn’t mean a lot of social interaction, but it can be a safe place to practice small interactions without the pressure to chat.
  • Help With Sensory Issues. Often, children with ASD struggle with sensory integration disorders. Water tends to have a calming effect, and some therapies include activities designed to help sensory issues.
  • Better Oral Motor Skills. Some kids with ASD struggle with certain motor skills, like sipping through a straw or blowing out candles on a cake. Because aquatic therapy includes activities like blowing bubbles in water or blowing a ball across the water, kids develop stronger oral motor skills.
  • Better Swimmers. Being in the water makes kids more comfortable when it’s time to learn to swim. Water is especially hazardous for children with ASD because many have difficulty communicating when they are in danger. Aquatic therapy gives autistic kids time to build a crucial skill.
  • Cognitive Learning

Children improve range of motion, neurodevelopmental growth, and body awareness with hydrotherapy. Their attention span increases, along with impulse control, concentration and focus, along with the ability to follow directions.

  • Task Completion

Autistic children respond better with visual cues and tangible rewards than with verbal cues. These children who practice hydrotherapy also tend to be better visual learners.

  • Water Safety

During hydrotherapy, children have a better understanding of water safety, but still require a significant amount of supervision as they still lack verbal responses. kids become familiar with water, gain skills with swimming, and understand the safety hazards.

The swimming pool can be transformed into a sensory room with different treatment stations that have different treatment aims such as memory development, co-ordination development , proprioceptive and vestibular feedback. This is done using different props within the water. Each exercise and activity can include one or all of the senses such as visual, auditory, tactile etc as well as using memory, sequencing and other cognitive processes. Speech and language can be developed along side mathematics and the level can be graded according to the child’s ability. The water adds a new dimension to the senses, giving resistance where it is needed and helping with movement flow as required. It is a great way to incorporate strengthening exercises and promote general fitness for the children.

Sensory Processing Benefits of Aquatic Therapy

Most children with autism also experience a mild to severe sensory integration disorder, or the inability to effectively take in, organize, and respond to sensory input. In fact, sensory processing deficits are one of the main triggers behind the inappropriate, anti-social, or self-destructive behaviors that are often associated with autism spectrum disorder.

Occupational therapy seek to minimize these sensory issues through sensory modulations. Sensory therapies usually refers to activities, such as swinging, jumping, touching different textures, or trying new foods that stimulate the senses. It also refers to external supports, such as weighted blankets, pressure vests, and full-spectrum lightings, that help children with autism better cope with sensory deficits. It is necessary to help children with autism thrive.

Interestingly, aquatic therapy help with sensory modulation. In other words, aquatic therapy includes activities meant to help children with autism strengthen their sensory processing skills, while the water itself is a sensory modulation—and an ideally safe and supportive environment for trying new skills. Water, particularly warm water, provides children with autism with three kinds of sensory support:

Hydrostatic pressure

Children with autism are known to crave deep pressure. Water provides this through hydrostatic pressure, or the pressure that a liquid exerts when it’s at rest. Water exerts 30x more deep pressure stimulation on the body than air. More importantly, unlike pressure vests or weighted blankets, water completely surrounds and envelopes the child’s body, perfectly distributing an equal and consistent amount of pressure on all submerged parts of the body. The result is an especially calming environment that soothes children with autism, helps them organize other sensory inputs, and gives them more confidence to try new movements.

Vestibular stimulation

Some of the obsessive, repetitive behaviors that children with autism exhibit, such as rocking and twirling, are directly related to an underdeveloped vestibular system.

Children with autism usually engage in these activities because they are trying, by external measures, to develop a sense of balance. Unfortunately, these maladaptive modulations are also distracting and, too often, self-destructive. By contrast, moving around in water creates a controlled vestibular situation that is safe and more effective than other methods.

Proprioceptive feedback

Aquatic therapy for children with autism includes activities specifically designed to provide proprioceptive feedback. Proprioception, also known as your sixth sense, is your body’s ability to understand where it is in space—which is an ability that develops later in childhood, explaining why babies need to be held and why toddlers’ movements are erratic. For children with autism, this sense is usually underdeveloped, making them seem clumsy or strange in their movements. In water, the resistance children encounter when they move, the feel of water rushing past them, and the hydrostatic pressure when they are still all combine to give enhanced proprioceptive feedback and improve this sense.

After an aquatic therapy session, kids report better moods, better focusing abilities, and better sensory processing abilities. The enhanced sensory input that children with autism receive in water helps them develop body awareness, gain greater touch tolerance, and improve their ability to coordinate all of the different sensory inputs received from the environment and focus on the correct one. Those who don’t have swimming pool can use this tub easily available online.

Physical Benefits of Aquatic Therapy

In addition to all of the sensory processing benefits, aquatic therapy also helps children with autism develop physically. Of course, any type of exercise is beneficial, but moving in water works more muscles simultaneously than any other exercise! Water exercise not only strengthens all muscles, including the heart, it also improves coordination, range of motion, balance, and endurance—all skills that tend to be underdeveloped in children with autism.

More importantly, being in water makes the body more lighter and more buoyant, and reduces the fear of injury, making children with autism feel more confident trying new movements that they might never try on land. This confidence, in turn, gives them an increased sense of mastery and accomplishment, usually through the use of play-based, functional movements.

Finally, working in water can enhance core strength, reduce pain and stress on the joints and soft tissues, improve motor planning and fine motor skills, strengthen oral motor skills (such as blowing out candles or drinking through a straw), and increase breathing control.

Social and Behavioral Benefits of Aquatic Therapy

On top of all of the other benefits of aquatic therapy, being in the water is just plain fun. After a successful session, many occupational therapists report that children with autism are more talkative and social, better able to cooperate—and more interested in imaginative and group play.

The calming effects of being in water tend to last well past the initial session. Psychologically, hydrotherapy often results in better moods, better impulse control, improved self-esteem and body image, decreased anxiety, and a marked drop in problem behaviors.

There are secondary benefits to aquatic therapy, too. For kids, being in the water doesn’t feel like a chore or like a clinical doctor’s office — it’s fun.

It doesn’t matter how big or small a child is — the water accommodates all sizes. Some sensory issues make it difficult for kids on the spectrum to comfortably take part, but water helps. It eases anxiety and calms feelings of discomfort.

All kids have trouble with short attention spans, but this is particularly true of autistic children. Being in the water tends to help them stay focused.

Aquatic Therapy Can Improve Social Behaviors

More than anything else, many children with autism spectrum disorders struggle to socialize. Since aquatic therapies are inherently social in nature (they occur between a therapist and one or more patients), they can offer children with autism an effectively structured way to form social bonds and learn interpersonal skills that can be transferred to other areas of life.

In addition, aerobic exercise like swimming has been shown to reduce negative behaviors common in children with autism, such as rocking, spinning, head-nodding, hand flapping, object-tapping, and light gazing. These kinds of behaviors can be a hindrance to normal socialization, and their reduction may make social connections with peers and other individuals easier. Analyses of studies published in major journals corroborate these claims.

Hydrotherapy Can Help with Sensory Processing Disorders

Autism often coincides with sensory processing disorders, making children suffer from frequent “sensory overload.” The hydrostatic pressure in water has been show to help children with sensory processing disorders or vestibular issues by providing a gentle, soothing physical environment.

Additional Information about Hydrotherapy for Children

While hydrotherapy works for adults and children alike, certain measures are taken into consideration for children for a successful therapy session. Children require a lower water temperature for hydrotherapy to avoid scalding and burns. The safe water temp for hydrotherapy in children is 90 to 94 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, hydrotherapy times are different from adults due to size and age. Children are in the water for 10 minutes times their age. For example, a five year old will use hydrotherapy for 50 minutes for a successful session.

See Improved Outcomes With Aquatic Therapy

Behavioral therapy is much easier after time in the water, which helps calm a busy body and mind. Exercise itself is a form of therapy, and when done it water, it’s not work.

Because dietary changes are sometimes met with opposition, it’s easier to tackle these when children are hungry — and water exercise is great for increasing appetites.

Aquatic therapy can help with the side effects of certain drugs. The exercise helps your child process medications and will often work against effects like drowsiness or weight gain. Because the exercise involves water play, children are happy to join.

kids hydrotherapy at home surrounding..

There are three key factors in hydrotherapy, and they are heat, buoyancy, and massage. The heat of the water helps relax the child before therapy begins. The buoyancy of the water reduces body weight, allowing less pressure on the body during movements and exercises. The massaging feature is created by a mixture of water and air through water jets. The water jets help relax muscles, massage the body, and allow ease of sensory processing in children.

With all the benefits of hydrotherapy for autistic children, therapy is most easily done at home. get a normal tub that will hardly cost 2000 to 400 bucks and start at home itself. This is one style of a hot tub that is easy to install, eco-friendly, and budget-friendly, too.

waterfalls all around

Water is stimulating and exciting and most children love the difference of doing their therapy activities in the water. Activities can be adapted to suit many children in a fun and stimulating way. The water can also be used as a calming tool with relaxing music, a warmer temperature and attention to lighting.

Occupational therapy is based on purposeful and meaningful activity in which the person concerned actively engages in their treatment. Purposeful and meaningful activity for children is play. Children learn through play and play is used in THERAPY. Water play, therefore, is becoming increasingly popular for sensory integration, developmental co-ordination disorder, attention deficits, hyper active children and many other condition…

Baby Massage: A Step-By-Step Guide To Do It Safely

“Tatra ruksho laghu sheetah, khara sukshmaschalo nilah”
The qualities of Vata are dry, light, cool, rough, subtle, and mobile.

what i have learnt from my 1.5 yrs of experience is AUTISM is nothing but increased VAAT in a kids body due to adulterated food we are giving kids for prolonged time.. when giving adulterated food to kids for long time vaat keeps on increasing in the body and a time comes when the kids central nerves system is affected by vaat and all the AUTISM features come up..later on if vaat is note checked PITT is also affected and kids become violent and sometime self hurting also comes..

Research shows that children with autism have early loss of child-to-parent bonding, as well as loss of the ability to feel pleasure and reassurance with parent touch. Instead they near-universally reject, avoid, or fail to notice touch. Without the ability to enjoy touch and close physical contact, children aren’t socially receptive and can’t be soothed by parent touch. Before long, social delay and abnormal behavior are evident.

Research shows that pleasure and bonding with gentle touch are mediated by tiny sensory nerves in the skin, and when these nerves are damaged, children lose pleasure and bonding with touch. Fortunately, the damage is reversible, and treatment with massage for autism returns the sense of touch to normal. This improves bonding, stimulates social development and eliminates autistic behavior.

INTRODUCTION TO VAAT

Vata governs all movement in the mind and body. It controls blood flow, elimination of wastes, breathing and the movement of thoughts across the mind.

Since Pitta and Kapha cannot move without it, Vata is considered the leader of the three Ayurvedic Principles in the body. It’s very important to keep Vata in good balance.

Do you need to balance Vata?

Vata dosha governs flow and motion in the body. Answer these questions to see if you need to balance Vata.

  1. Is your kids skin dry, rough, thin?
  2. is your kid underweight?
  3. Is your kids mind constantly in a whirl?
  4. Do your kid worry incessantly?
  5. Is you kid constantly restless or agitated?
  6. Do your kid experience constipation?
  7. Do your kid suffer from insomnia?
  8. Do your kid have low muscle tone?
  9. Do your kid experience discomfort in the joints?
  10. Is your kid easily fatigued ?

If you answered yes to most of these questions, you need to balance Vata.

For me in DHRUVA’s case all the answers turned to be a big YES..

so decided to reduce his VAAT,kept on reading books and various articles and came on below conclusion which i have been following since last 5 months and have seen remarkable changes in him..All vaat problems have dissapered with massage and diet control and he is feeling better..all Autism features are gone now..

After five months of treatment for my son Dhruva:

  • Sensory problems improved by 50%; touch improved by 70%
  • Autistic behavior decreased by 70%;
  • Social skills increased and Dhruva is more affectionate
  • Receptive language increased
  • Parenting stress decreased by 90%

and if i follow this for two years :

    • There will be 100% recovery of the sense of touch
    • The average decrease of autism severity will be 80%
    • Over 50% of high-functioning children moved off the spectrum

Vata out of Balance

“Tatra ruksho laghu sheetah, khara sukshmaschalo nilah”
The qualities of Vata are dry, light, cool, rough, subtle, and mobile.

This Sanskrit line lists the main qualities of vata and provides a key to understanding what it means to have a predominantly vata prakriti. The main qualities of vata are dry, light, cool, rough, subtle, and mobile( HYPERACTIVE). So, having a vata-predominant prakriti means that these qualities express themselves generously throughout your mental, emotional, and physical make up. A vata-predominant individual’s strengths and weaknesses both reflect these qualities.

Their energy comes in bursts and they are likely to experience sudden bouts of fatigue. Vatas kids typically have dry skin and hair and cold hands and feet.

  • In excess vaat type, the dry and rough qualities may manifest themselves as dry or brittle skin, lips, hair, nails, or bones , as constipation, or as feeling “dry” emotionally.
  • They sleep lightly and their digestion can be sensitive. When the Vata dosha becomes imbalanced, it manifests in the body as weight loss, constipation, hypertension, arthritis, weakness, restlessness, and digestive challenges.
  • Vatas kids love excitement and new experiences. They are quick to anger but also to forgive. When Vatas are in balance, kids are energetic, creative, and flexible. They also take initiative and are lively conversationalists. When unbalanced, they are prone to worry and anxiousness and often suffer from insomnia. When they feel overwhelmed or stressed, their response is, “What did I do wrong?”
  • The “light” quality may manifest itself as giving you a lanky physique but excess lightness may manifest as being underweight, having low muscle tone, light bones, insomnia, or feeling “spacey” or insecure.
  • The cold quality of vata may lead you to feel cold more easily than others around you, have cold hands and feet, and crave warmth.
  • The subtle quality may express itself as being introverted, creative, and having an active fantasy life.
  • The mobile quality (HYPERACTIVE) may lead to a healthy ability to “multi-task” or, in excess, to scattered attention, a fidgety tendency, tremors, and nervousness. It may manifest as extremes; as in being very tall or very short or being drastically different weights at different times in your life.

Prana Vata: Worries, overactive mind, sleep problems, difficulty breathing.
Udana Vata: Dry coughs, sore throats, earaches, general fatigue.
Samana Vata: Slow or rapid digestion, gas, intestinal cramps, poor assimilation, weak tissues.
Apana Vata: Intestinal cramps, menstrual problems, lower back pain, irregularity, diarrhea, constipation, gas.
Vyana Vata: Dry or rough skin, nervousness, shakiness, poor blood flow, stress-related problems.

Vata Governs

Prana Vata: The senses, creative thinking, reasoning, enthusiasm, leader of all 15 categories of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Udana Vata: Quality of voice, memory, movements of thought.
Samana Vata: Movement of food through digestive tract.
Apana Vata: Elimination of wastes, sexual function, menstrual cycle.
Vyana Vata: Blood flow, heart rhythm, perspiration, sense of touch.

Qualities of Vata:

  • Cold
  • Light
  • Dry
  • Irregular
  • Rough
  • Moving
  • Quick
  • Changeable

If Vata dosha predominates, movement and change are characteristic of kids nature what we call as Hyperactivity in AUTISM. kids tend to always be on the go, with an energetic and creative mind.

Tips for Balancing Vata

  • Diffuse calming vaat aroma oil in the environment.
  • ABHYANGA (daily Ayurveda massage with sesame oil as carrier oil and aroma oil).
  • Warm temperatures.
  • Warm, cooked fresh foods (less raw foods).
  • Early bedtime, lots of rest.
  • Favor warm, oily, heavy foods and sweet, sour, and salty tastes.
  • Reduce light, dry, cold foods and pungent, bitter and astringent tastes.
  • Regular daily routine.
  • Avoid stimulants.
  • Regular, daily elimination.
  • Stay warm in cold, windy weather.

Vata is cold, light, irregular, dry, and always changing. To balance Vata, make choices that bring warmth, stability, and consistency to your life. Try to get to bed before 10 p.m., wake up by 6 a.m., and eat your meals at regular times.

Avoid becoming chilled. Wear adequate clothing appropriate for the season and keep your head covered when the weather is cold.

Perform a daily massage using warmer, heavier oils like sesame and almond.

Stick with light exercise that enhances balance and flexibility. Take care not to push yourself too far and exceed the limits of your energy. Beneficial activities for Vatas include:

  • Yoga
  • Walking
  • Short hikes
  • Light bicycling
  • Light tennis
  • Golf
  • Dance
  • Aerobics

Natural ginger ENZYME. Fresh ginger root is beneficial and can be used frequently. During the cool weather, give a small teaspoon on ginger juice with a pinch of black pepper and pinch of long pepper once in a day.it make digestion v good and motion passes in one go..i give this juice to DHRUVA daily..during summer you can reduce the quantity to 5 drops…

Favor soothing, calming music.

Favor warm colors in your clothing and environment such as earth colors, pastels, browns, and warm yellows.

Favor aromas that are sweet, heavy, and warm. Examples include rose, , sandalwood, lavender, bay, cinnamon, citrus, cloves, pine, sage, and vanilla.

Vata-Pacifying Diet

  • Eat smaller quantities of food, but not more than kid you can digest easily.
  • Sweeteners. GUD and HONEY are good (in moderation) for pacifying Vata.
  • Grains. Rice is very good. Reduce intake of barley, corn, millet, buckwheat, rye and oats.

  • All nuts are good.
  • Beans. Reduce all beans, except for tofu and mung dhal.
  • Oils. SESAME oil especially reduce VAAT..
  • For non-vegetarians, use fresh, organic chicken, seafood, and eggs.(note please do not give eggs and mutton or chicken in same day..if giving egg in a day do not give chicken or mutton that day and quantity should not be more than 50 gm a day.mutton liver or chicken liver 50 gm a day is very beneficial as it contains all the nutrients..and do buy only tender and good quality chicken and mutton and fresh fish.Try giving clear soup of mutton and chicken and fried fish)

Now MOMMIES Lets Come To Main TOPIC OF THE DAY ABHAYANGA

ABHAYANGA

Abhyanga is the anointing of the body with oil. Often infused with herbs and usually warm, the oil is massaged into the entire body before bathing. It can be beneficial for maintaining health and is used therapeutically for certain disorders like AUTISM And ADHD. Abhyanga can be incorporated into a routine appropriate for almost everyone.

The Sanskrit word sneha means both “oil” and “love,” and the effects of abhyanga are similar to being saturated with love. Both experiences can give a deep feeling of stability, warmth and comfort. Sneha—oil and love—is sukshma, or “subtle.” This allows it to pass through minute channels in the body and penetrate deep layers of tissue.

Ayurveda teaches that there are seven dhatus, or layers of tissue in the body. Each is successively more concentrated and life-giving. It is taught that for the effects of sneha to reach to the deepest layer,a 25-minute massage is the suggested minimum amount of time.

HOW TO MASSAGE

Baby Massage: A Step-By-Step Guide To Do It Safely

Start your baby massage with the following setup:

  • Sit on a bed or soft carpeted floor with a towel in front of you. You can also place a towel on a table to massage your little one while you stand. The towel helps absorb excess oil.
  • Maintain a comfortable room temperature. During winters, ensure that the room is warm and during summers make sure there is ample circulation of cool and fresh air in the room. Babies do feel warm quickly and tend to become cranky.
  • Lighting in the room is important and use as much natural light as possible.
  • You can choose to massage your baby with or without the nappy, but you can loosen it when massaging his tummy. Massaging without nappy may increase the risk of accidental soiling, but it also ensures that you massage every part of his body.

Let’s now see how to massage a baby in the right way. Here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1 – Seeking the permission:

The first step is to take your baby’s ‘permission’ since you would not like to give him a massage when he is not interested. when i started massaging Dhruva he resisted a lot but when he felt the calming effect he now brings oil bottle to me and tells me to massage him..

The simple way to do this is by taking some oil in your palms and rubbing it first in your both hand so that oil gets avbsorbed in hands of massager then massage gently on the baby’s tummy and behind his ears, and observe his body language. If he resists being touched or grumbles and cries when massaging, then it is probably not the right time, yet. If he shows positive signs and seems okay with what you are doing, then you can go ahead with the massage.

Keep in mind that, initially, your baby may seem uncomfortable with the massage as it is a new experience. But as he gets used to it, he is less likely to resist it and instead tends to enjoy it.

Step 2 – Massaging the legs:

  1. Start with the baby’s feet. Rub some drops of oil on your palms and begin massaging the baby’s soles. Massage the heels up to the toes with your thumbs. Then, using your palm, stroke the bottom and top of the baby’s foot. Slowly, make circles with your thumb all over the bottom of each foot and then to the toes. Do not pull any toe like they do in adult foot massage. Instead, lightly massage each toe right to the tip. This will help stimulate nerve endings.
  1. Lift one of the legs and make gentle strokes on the ankle and slowly extend it towards the thighs. Gently stroke from the foot up to the thigh. You can also massage both the legs at once if your baby is calm and relaxed.
  1. You end the leg massage by gently grasping the thighs with both your hands. Slowly stroke down from thigh to the foot, like how you would wring a towel.

Step 3 – Moving to the arms:

  1. After the legs have been massaged, the arms should be massaged. The pattern of massaging is quite similar to the legs. Hold the baby’s hands and make circular strokes on the palms. Slowly make small strokes on the baby’s fingers moving towards the tips of the fingers.
  1. Turn his hand around and now gently massage the back of his hand with straight strokes towards the wrist. Then, gently massage his wrists in circular motions, like putting on bangles.
  1. Move your strokes slowly towards his forearm and then towards the upper arm. Massage entire arm with gentle circular motions as if you are wringing a towel.

Step 4 – Chest and shoulder massage:

  1. Make gentle strokes in tandem from the left and right shoulder towards the chest of the baby in upward direction. You can then trace your hand back to the shoulder. Repeat the motion gently.Next, place both your hands at the center of your baby’s chest and rub outwards from the body – towards the lateral side.
  1. Make gentle strokes outwards from the bottom of the sternum, the chest bone, across the chest, as if tracing a heart shape.

Step 5 – Now the back:

  1. It is now time to turn your baby around and massage his back. Place your baby outstretched on his tummy with his hands at the front and not on the sides.
  1. Place your fingertips on the baby’s upper back and trace clockwise circles while slowly moving the strokes towards his neck in upward direction from buttock toward shoulders..
  1. You then place your index finger and middle finger on either side of the upper spine and very gently move the fingers all the way to the buttocks. Repeat the strokes a few times. Do not place the fingers on the spine. Instead, place two fingers on either side of the spinal groove and run them down.

Step 6 – Massaging face and head:

  1. Massaging the face and head can be challenging since babies tend to move a lot. But it is as important as massaging the other parts of the body. Begin by placing the tip of your index finger at the center of your baby’s forehead and slowly stroking along the outline of his face towards his chin. From the chin, move your finger towards his cheeks and massage his cheeks gently in a circular motion. Repeat the strokes a few times.
  1. After massaging the face, start massaging the scalp with the fingertip like you are shampooing the baby’s hair. Use gentle pressure from your fingertip and do not apply any extra pressure since the baby’s skull is delicate.
  1. You can even massage the baby’s forehead gently by moving your fingers outwards from the center of the forehead.

Step 7 – Finally Time for tummy massage

    1. and finally comes the kid’s stomach. Remember, this is a delicate area, and therefore you must avoid even the slightest of pressures. You start your stroke from the top of the belly right below the chest bone. Place your palm gently below the chest bone and make clockwise circular strokes across the belly – all around the belly button. Do not apply any pressure and let your hand gently glide across the belly.
    1. Continue the circular motions in clockwise direction while avoiding the belly button. In young babies, the belly button/navel can be sensitive and delicate since they would have recently shed their umbilical cord stub.

Massage the baby’s shoulder blades with gentle clockwise circular strokes. Make same gentle strokes at the baby’s lower back and buttocks. End the massage with this last stroke. Apart from the above-mentioned baby massage techniques, there are other effective massages for the baby that work great in certain situations or conditions.

Other Conditions Where Massage Can Be Beneficial

There could be certain medical conditions or situations where a baby can gain relief through massages. Here are some scenarios where you can consider massaging your baby to make him feel better.

1. Constipation, gas, and colic:

‘I love you’ massage is the best massage to give when your baby is suffering from constipation, gas, or is colic. Research proves that infant massage works great in easing the symptoms of colic among babies. This is a variation of the standard tummy massage that can help tackle multiple problems. Start by lying your baby on his back. Use your fingers to trace a straight line on the right side of the navel. This forms the letter ‘I’. Then place your fingers at the upper left corner of the belly to trace a horizontal stroke towards the end of the left ribcage. Trace a vertical straight line stroke, exactly like the ‘I’ stroke. This forms the letter ‘L’. Next, place your fingers at the lower left corner of the belly and trace a letter ‘U’ around the navel towards the baby’s lower left corner of the tummy. This massage helps your baby poop well and relieves him of wind pain. It is also an awesome baby tummy ache massage since the pattern of the letters in the massage follows the layout of the intestines within thus stimulating them to ease the gas and constipation, which can cause pain and discomfort to the baby.

2. Cough and congestion:

Massage can also help the baby feel better when he is suffering from congestion, cough, and cold. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Start by rubbing some oil or lotion on the palm of your hand. This makes your hands warm, soothing the baby as you massage him. Rub your baby’s chest using both your hands by starting from the center to the outside using small circular strokes. Then rub the entire chest in circular motions using just one hand.

Step 2: Now, focus on the baby’s face. Here you massage the sinuses by gently running your fingertips from the inner end of the eyebrow down to the nose and then to the cheek. Repeat this motion a couple of times. This helps release any accumulated mucus present in the sinuses.

Step 3: Lastly, you massage the baby’s feet focusing primarily on the sole. Massaging the sole helps in generating heat that can help loosen the mucus within the chest.

The feeling of warmth will relieve the heavy feeling of congestion in the chest caused by cold and repeated cough.

3. Gastroesophageal reflux:

If your baby has acid reflux then he may have trouble lying flat on the ground. In such situations, place a pillow under his upper back. Place the pillow in a manner that the baby lies at 45-degree angle. Then give the baby a tummy massage with the same steps mentioned above. Regular massages in a baby with chronic reflux has been clinically-proven to reduce the symptoms and give the baby relief .

4. Hiccups:

Massage is helpful when your baby is having bouts of hiccups. Hiccups occur when the irritated nerves of the abdominal cavity cause fluttering of the diaphragm due to accumulated gas or due to excessive intake of air during breastfeeding. A massage can help de-stress the tensed diaphragm thus mitigating hiccups.

When massaging to rid your baby off hiccups, put the baby in an upright position and massage him from his lower back all the way to the shoulders in gentle circular motions. You can do this by placing the baby on his tummy. Do not apply a lot of pressure while massaging.

5. Jaundice:

You can follow the aforementioned massage procedure if the baby is suffering from jaundice. Body massage for jaundiced babies has been clinically proven to improve the defecation rate and reduce the amount of bilirubin, which is the compound that causes yellowish skin in jaundice. Massage, however, does not cure jaundice in babies. It just alleviates the symptoms and associated discomfort caused by jaundice thus making the baby feel better.

6. Vaccinations:

It may sound surprising but local massage after vaccination in infants can have significant benefits for the little one. Firstly, massaging the area around the point of injection can help relieve pain and make the baby feel better. Secondly, it helps improve the immunogenicity of some vaccines, which is the body’s ability to produce antibodies against the antigen for which the vaccine has been given. This case has been clinically proven for diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine .

Never massage directly at the point where the vaccine was injected. Instead, focus on the surrounding areas by massaging gently with soft and smooth strokes.

7. Teething:

Massaging your baby’s gums when he is teething is a great way of alleviating the pain and irritation . Simply wash your hands thoroughly and wipe them dry. Then use your clean fingers to gently massage the bottom of his gums. Do not apply any pressure nor massage the top of the gums where the tooth would erupt. Only run your fingers gently at the base of the gums and continue doing so all along his gums.

Focus on the gums at the front since that is where the first teeth would emerge. You can give this massage when you feel your baby is irritated due to teething.

How Often Should I Massage My Baby?

There is no restriction on how less or more you can massage your baby. It is great, though, to have a fixed massage routine since it helps your baby reap all the long term benefits of massage. If your baby faces certain adverse medical problems, then consult the baby’s doctor about the ideal massage routine.

Baby Massage Tips

Here are some important points to remember about massaging your baby:

  1. If at any point during the massage your baby becomes cranky, then just skip that massage step and move to the next one. If he is still irritable, then stop the massage. You can make an attempt at massaging him later when he seems more receptive to touch.
  1. Always be gentle during a massage. Never apply too much pressure on the baby’s body since his bones and tissues are very delicate. Also never massage the genitals or around the groin area.
  1. Speak, laugh, and smile while massaging your baby. When he looks at you, initiate an eye contact and do some baby talk with a smile. This will help keep him interested in the activity eventually making him more cooperative.
  1. When done, wipe away the oil on the baby’s palms and fingers using a tissue paper. This is to prevent him from accidentally ingesting the oil when he puts his fingers in his mouth. It is for this reason, choose baby massage oils that are 100% safe for babies and do not pose any health risk even on accidental ingestion.
  2. Maintain a fixed time for massage. This will help establish a routine, making a baby more comfortable during a massage.

When Should I Stop Massaging The Baby?

There is no fixed age to stop massaging. You can choose to massage the baby as long as you want. Many mothers stop the massage when their little one is completely weaned and has transitioned from a baby to a toddler.

Massage is a great way of improving the bond with your baby while also enabling him to grow better. Maintain a schedule for massage and consult your doctor in case of doubts or queries.

DHRUVA is an affectionate, 3.5 year-old boy who loves to draw and has quite sense of humour. He was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 years old.As a baby, he developed normally—but then, after he turned 2 years old, he started to display quirks. DHRUVA was shifted to two preschools because of his meltdowns, where he would flap his hands, stand on his toes, screech and cry.“We couldn’t go out to social gatherings, or even to the grocery store ” as he use to cry cry a lot..

“He hated light touch,” “tags in shirts, noises from crowds of people and bright lights in stores.

When Dhruva was 3 years old, his first occupational therapist discovered he calmed down when she gave him a firm bear hug.In 1980, autism diagnoses alone were 1 in 5,000; the most current data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that rate is now 1 in 88 children.Boys appear to be affected four times as much as girls.

Through the use of massage therapy, these kids’ basic need for safe, nurturing contact is met, with often wonderful results. All children require nurturing touch to thrive, and for those on the autism spectrum, specialized touch therapy is required. Using specialized touch, we are able to meet these children with care and affection where they are.Pediatric massage provides a positive experience of being touched, and the effects hold lifelong benefits. Our grand parents dadi and nani use to do this massage 4 to 5 times a day so as to make a kid strong…

Usually diagnosed by the age of 3, this complex developmental condition affects a child’s ability to develop normal language skills, form relationships or respond appropriately, and is characterized by early onset of a lack of attachment, failure to cuddle as an infant and an almost complete disassociation with the environment.

Autism, as we know it, is curable and the behaviors associated with the disorder can be corrected so that it does not persist throughout the child’s lifetime.
With 6 months of daily 2 to 3 hours of morning, night and after taking a bath massage Dhruva has gained his

  • Full Eye Contact: Every time called he looks into my eyes
  • Respond to Name: Full respond to name
  • Calming Mood Swings: No meltdowns
  • Improved Sleep : No night awakenings
  • Good Digestion: Stool is passed once and he is satisfied
  • Muscle tone Improved a lot: he can jump hurdles independently..
  • Emotions came: he now recognizes me and Rishi as his mom and dad..
  • Command following increased: listens to all my requests..
  • Immunity increased: No more cough and Cold
  • and countless benefits continues…

Touch Helps

The common belief that children with autism do not like to be touched is false. My son Dhruva loves to be massaged as many as 3 hours a day…

Autism is characterized with sensory malfunction and dysfunction of the tactile system, often making a child averse to certain sights, sounds, smells or touch.Given that children with autism have been reported to be opposed to physical contact, it is interesting that many massage therapists and parents are finding great success with the use of massage therapy for those considered to be on the spectrum.
“People with autism-spectrum disorders often struggle with increased sensitivity to sensory stimuli, including tactile stimulation, and massage provides a comforting experience of tactile stimulation while also helping to decrease pain amplification through desensitization,”

Just because a child doesn’t communicate in a way you understand, does not mean he lacks IQ points.

For me what worked as a magic was just following GFCSF diet (for convincing me to follow this Diet credit goes to Riya my friend )and massaging almost 3 hrs a day…pressing all the points and joint compression…every 2 hours..This joint compression was suggested by his therapist Komal ma’am.she is the only therapist I found in Pune who believes in making a child independent..thank u ma’am for ur guidence..
Massaging need to be done with Autistic kids morning almost 30 min then every two hour joint compression and the late at night before sleeping 30 to 45 min full body massage..

Lets us come to oil which i used and benefited a lot was Til oil (Sesame oil ) ..this oil is especially for improving muscle tone.. it can be used a in any season during summer and winter too .i use to combine this oil with Aroma essence..

I basically use khadi oil…its very good in quality and cost effective.. Rs 200 for 10ml and this oilcan be used for 1.5 months to 2 months..

AROMATHERAPY AND ITS BENEFITS

Autism has failed yet to come with one simple and official definition, but in spite of that, doctors have categorized this disease as a neurological disorder. The disease is obvious from the birth of the kid, and some people live with autism until old age. Autistic people find it difficult to be in a normal social context, because of the anxiety. And if you are wondering what do autism and aromatherapy have in common, here is the answer: aromatherapy is able to promote self esteem and calm the subjects, so that they can live an almost normal life. So if you have an autistic child and you don’t know what else to do for him, because there is no medical cure for it, you might want to try aromatherapy.

smelling-eo.jpg

For a child with autism, aromatherapy is much more than smell. Sensory enrichment can be an effective therapy for the treatment of autism, particularly among children past the toddler stage. Dhruva was benefited a lot from Aroma therapy as his eye contact started coming in just 1 week of massage i remember…was so happy that day when my son first time looked into my eyes…this method of oil making was discovered by his Dad Rishi..
mommies was in dead depression 6 months back as non of the therapies was working for my son just was wasting money in all these tests and therapy classes as much as 50 thousand in a month and Dhruva was just getting harassed and therapist just talking negative and demoralizing me all the time….but rather than spending so much money on these therapies we decided to go to the root cause of Autism and found after 1 week of day and night reading and research and discussion with our Reiki mentor that we need to focus on his intake that is food and massage his muscles to improve his muscle tone..

True aromatherapy not only delivers the relaxing benefits of fragrance, it also provides many other health benefits that are unique to each essential oil. Aromatherapy is the practice of using aromatic and volatile liquids that are extracted from plants, shrubs, flowers, trees, bushes and seeds as therapy to treat the sensory seeking in an individual who has a strong tendency to smell objects.

It is important to remember that all odors and smells tend to be alerting. Identify scents that are associated with positive activities or that child finds comforting. Vanilla, lavender, rose and sandalwood are generally felt to be calming scents while citrus, cinnamon, and mint tend to be regarded as more invigorating scents.

Many children with autism seem to need to smell everything to feed their sensory input. This may be related to the need to gain more information through a sensory channel with which they are more comfortable.Providing pleasing smells may be helpful, but it is probably more helpful to improve the other sensory systems for gaining information.
In some cases, children may look for familiar smells to calm themselves. For example, a dryer sheet, towels washed with a fragrance detergent, or a perfume. Help your child find additional calming strategies as well.

Making oil blends.. Essential oil blend

Important:Try using a glass bottle dark color preferably for making oil..

  • Til oil 50 ml use it as Carrier oil i basically use TIL SONA oil..
  • Add 6 drop Khadi Lavender oil
  • Add 4 drop Rose oil
  • Add 6 drop Sandalwood oil..

You can change the quantity of drop according to your kids liking…but dont make it too strong…

And use this oil first thing in the morning to massage …
To a lot people, aromatherapy is just about enjoying a pleasant smell. Scents actually surround us daily and can impact a child’s comfort level. These scents can vary dramatically including air fresheners, cleansers, cologne, cooking, candles, plants, and flowers.

Characteristics of different scents:

• Cinnamon, mint and citrus – Tend to be more invigorating or revitalizing (alerting)
• Vanilla, rose, lavender and Sandalwood– More relaxing and calming
• Pine – mood elevator

You can develop a calming association to certain scents by coupling a specific scent with another soothing activity. For example, always use vanilla scent when you bathe your child (if bathing is a soothing event). This may help your child learn to feel relaxed when exposed to the particular Scents..i use it for Dhruva and he enjoys it a lot…

Some children may seek out alerting scents to “wake up” their sensory system. Try to analyze the child’s olfactory preferences and how they impact their behavior.People who suffering autism especially children can react positively with a special treatment of aromatherapy. However this have to be conducted by aromatherapist

Some the other oil….can be used too

Peppermint is a well known plant, and it best to start using this one, for it must already be familiar for the autistic person. It is a neuro-simulator and it’s best used when inhaled. It can stay in the autistic’s room, and the effects will be visible within the nest two days.

Getting started with baby massage

Massage the feet and legs before moving onto the upper body.
  • Massage can be soothing for babies. Make sure the room is warm, your baby is quiet, well-rested and alert, and you’re relaxed. Try massage after a nap, when your baby is being changed or in the cot, or after a bath. You can do massage for 10-30 minutes.
  • Smooth a few drops of baby massage oil or simple moisturiser like sorbolene into your warm hands and massage the soles of baby’s feet. Use firm, gentle, slow strokes from heel to toe. Always keep one hand on baby. If you notice signs of allergic reaction to the oil, wipe it off and see your GP.
  • Do long smooth strokes up baby’s leg. Massage from ankle up to thigh and over hip. Massage both legs at once or one at a time. Avoid the genital area. Hold baby’s leg under the knee and gently press it towards the tummy to help release wind.

Massaging baby’s upper body

Massage the arms; use circular clockwise strokes for the belly; use your fingertips to massage the face.
  • Start upper body massage with your hands on baby’s shoulders. Make gentle strokes in towards the chest.
  • Massage baby’s arms by stroking from the shoulders down towards the wrists. Try not to get oil on baby’s hands. If you do, wipe his fingers clean before he sucks them.
  • If baby’s tummy feels soft, massage his belly with circular, clockwise strokes. If he gets unsettled, go on to the next step. Avoid the belly button area if baby’s cord hasn’t healed. Don’t put pressure on baby’s diaphragm (area under the lungs but above the stomach).

Massaging baby’s face and back

Massage the back of baby's body from head to toe; stop if baby is tense and not enjoying himself; massage can also take place in a cot when baby is clothed.
  • Use your finger pads to massage baby’s face. Stroke from the middle of baby’s forehead, down the outside of her face and in towards her cheeks. Massage the scalp in small circles.
  • If baby is still relaxed when you’ve finished massaging the front of her body, you can turn her onto her tummy and use long, smooth strokes from head to toe.
  • Use a soothing touch and stop the massage if your baby seems uncomfortable. Avoid massage if you’re very tense, or if your baby is upset. Make sure your fingernails are short.

One day accidentally visited BLUE RIDGE Golf course and to my surprise inquired in the office about the price and other stuff used for playing ..to my surprise it was genuine one so decided to play. But rather than me and Rishi liking the game and course Dhruva was so happy at the course and in the sand playing that we thought we will always be a part of this game ..its now 1.5 yrs practicing game..Dhruva has his own putter and he enjoys a lot..

Rest all the golf course are costly but when kid starts liking the place and we see positive changes in them its worth it..In this article will cover all the benefits that golf can incorporate in your kids life..

Tees and Tots: How Kids Can Benefit From Playing Golf

  • ECO THERAPY :Mental Well-Being. …
  • A Social Event. for Socialization
  • ABA THERAPY :Focusing the mind..
  • Emotional benefits Reducing Stress and Anxiety. …
  • Occupational Therapy..for improving low muscle tone
  • SAND THERAPY

mommies keep on thinking that i should make my child sit at one place and teach him whatever she wants but mommies don’t forget they are still kids sitting at one place for them is a very challenging task..you as an adult should take out ways to channelise there energy in perfect direction without pissing them off…keep your child happy and you will then see all the positive changes in them..

Golf helps to enhance their social, motor, coordination, and golf skills
Golf can be used as a vehicle to enlighten and teach children with autism the sport, skills, and fun of golf. Golf is a wonderful way for children and families to participate in a sport together..Building life skills through golf for children with autism. The vision behind playing golf is to help children with autism to develop life and social skills through golf.
Golf course helps kids feel happy and included and it even teaches a lot about life. I tried a lot of other sports for my son Dhruva but he didn’t like it when people were unkind to each other or if it was too noisy or he didn’t understand what to do as part of the team.

In golf, there is something called “etiquette” which means you are expected to be kind and respectful to each other and there are specific rules about how to behave and what to say.
Playing golf is great fun, but also offers a wide range of mental and physical benefits, some of which are highlighted below:

ECO THERAPY: Mental Well being Mental Awareness

Eco therapy, otherwise known as ‘green exercise’ which emphasizes the importance of combining exercise with an outdoor activity can be applied to golf. Golf courses, even those in the city, are usually situated in attractive locations with green rolling hills, lakes and well maintained fairways.

It is seen as a given that physical exercise has many benefits – in particular on our physical health, but aside from calories burnt, we tend to forget that sport can also do wonders for our mental health. Golf is a perfect example – it promotes social interaction, requires concentration and focus (which is very much needed fr our kids)and is played outdoors(so lots of vitamin D for kids), often in attractive lush GREEN settings. Furthermore, it is a sport that is suitable for almost everyone due to its moderate activity level.
A study conducted by the University of Essex found that undergoing exercise in rural and pleasant urban landscapes produces a greater positive effect on one’s self-esteem (WHICH IS USUALLY VERY LOW IN AUTISTIC KIDS)than just exercising alone, for example in therapy classes or therapies conducted at home.

Dhruva has his small putter and he makes sure ball goes inside the hole..its acts as a therapy for my eyes watching him play..love u my son….

SOCIALIZING the kids Parent child interaction..

Golfing has always been a social sport, and that benefit is not reserved for the adults who enjoy the game. With a relatively low barrier to entry, individuals of any age can step onto a course and play, making it a sport well-suited to demographic diversity that can introduce children to a gamut of social interactions. Golf also offers a perfect venue for positive parent/child interactions which is much needed in our case. It can be a great way to encourage quality time and bonding between a parent and child, which can set the stage for a lasting relationship.

P_20180524_132337

This sport also requires that children mind their manners and conduct themselves respectfully while on the course. In addition to etiquette, golf helps children learn to problem solve, use numbers, and be confident in their abilities while also improving on their weaknesses.

Golf is a sport that promotes sociability; kids golfers often team up in pairs or play with up to 3 other kids. This provides kids with the opportunity to meet other kids, make friends and enhance relationships and avoid feelings of isolation and loneliness.

ABA Therapy :Focusing the mind

Autistic kids are generally very hyperactive so focusing there mind at on job is quite difficult but with golf its the best place to channelize there energy in a positive direction.

mommies keep on thinking that i should make my child sit at one place and teach him what ever she wants but mommies dont forget they are still kids sitting at one place for them is a very challenging task..you as an adult should take out ways to channelize there energy in perfect direction without pissing them off…

The Killings worth and Gilbert study found that when kids minds were constantly wandering, they reported a feeling of being less happy. Being able to focus on the task at hand means the mind is engaged and less likely to drift to negative or stressful thoughts, making a round of golf the perfect way to unwind ..

P_20180524_132419

Golf requires a tremendous amount of concentration – keeping an eye on where the hole is in relation to the ball, the amount of force required to hit the ball and getting the trajectory right to score that elusive hole in one.

At present Dhruva just takes his putter and keeps walking across the lush green course and feeling relaxed..this is the only place where he enjoys being there away from noisy places..and calming his self..His dad makes a point every time to involve him to putt the ball and he likes doing it…

Emotional Therapy: Reducing Stress and Anxiety. …

Golf is a great way to encourage the home-bound child to get out and spend a day in nature having some good old-fashioned fun on the green, and it can offer many lessons to today’s kids generation Several parallels can be drawn between this game and the challenges and successes inherent in society. Golf requires the child to practice emotional management, positivity, proper planning, clear focus, good social skills, and perseverance. It also helps them assess both the task at hand as well as the bigger picture. As children learn how to conduct themselves properly while they are on the course, they are also learning how to become happy, healthy, successful members of society.

Children require development of their emotional fitness just as much as those physical and social counterparts. Golf helps develop the youth’s emotional health by encouraging self-improvement and challenging them to persevere through frustrations.

Because golf is a game of self-improvement, it requires the player to focus on their performance, and it eliminates the opportunity to easily ascribe shortfalls to team members. This can help instill autonomy and responsibility, and nurture the self-confidence that is so vital to living a long and happy life.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY for improving low muscle tone

Although golf is seen as a moderate form of exercise, in an 18-hole game, kids can walk more than 10,000 steps or around 5 miles – which quickly adds up over time! The distance walked is important as at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week – in the case of golf, this is easily achieved in a single round.
Likewise, wrist and body flexibility is important in golf – being able to twist your body and having the strength and power to hit the ball long distances is necessary to play well.
In a world of technology, it’s easy for children to stop playing outside and start spending more and more time indoors, in front of screens. This can make it challenging for parents who are trying to get their kids to participate in more physical activities. Golf can provide an alternate means of enjoyment outside of the realm of video games. And because it’s open to all skill levels, it has the benefit of being an easy choice for children that might otherwise shy away from sports. As a non-contact and low-impact sport, it doesn’t require a child to be the strongest, fastest, or biggest in order to be successful or enjoy themselves.

SAND THERAPY

P_20170418_175436

Kids use creativity to express feelings, which release anti-anxiety chemicals in the brain. These chemicals are opioids and oxytocins. They create the feeling of being safe. They reduce that of anger and aggression. Autistic kids thus begin to feel calm, and psychologically strong. They progressively gain a deep sense of well being, resulting in their immune system becoming stronger. Furthermore, they progressively sense that there is meaning in life. Learning capacity too increases.

Sand play is a wonderful treatment modality for children, because it takes place in the child’s own natural language of symbols.Children with autism lack social skills such as expressive language, which is a strong predictor of autism in children.
Sand Therapy is non-directive and is a highly visual approach that crosses language and cultural barriers; it provides a tactile approach that enables children to make sense of their own world in the sand

As an observer of Sand play Therapy, it may appear that your child is simply playing in the sand. This is not so. The sand play becomes a setting for children, adolescents and adults to gain a different or new perspective on a situation.

The process connects with unconscious material, allowing the child to ‘sort’ out and make sense of experiences and information. By creating a scene in the sand using symbols (small figurines, toys, ornaments, shells, rocks) a child can regain a sense of strength or hope.

will cover this topic later in an article on Sand play..

will now conclude my article...by just requesting all parents just move out of your house with your kid of course and let them live there life…let them explore the things they like to do..never impose your dreams on kids either a normal kid or Autistic kid…mommies if you challenge yourself then no one can stop you to make your child come out of spectrum…
The quote “a healthy body makes a healthy mind” is therefore very appropriate: the fitter and more physically able you are, the more positive you feel in yourself, and the happier you feel.

come on mommies get charged up and geared up and make the move…

love u all…

Sinhagad Trek..Best way to give Occupational therapy to Autistic kids…..

Today 5am went to Singhagard fort with Dhruva and Rishi and all my Pune Running club ..family..

Parents of all the kids out there its beneficial for both kids either autistic or hyperactive kids..Its the best possible way to channelize there energy in this direction…kids enjoy a lot ..just start early and it alao helps in family bonding..so pack ur bags, have plenty of drinking water, some lemon sugar water, caps, sunglasses, first aid kit for safety..put on your shoes and go early..come out of ur comfort zone that’s important…

Parents going through Autism pain will definitely benefit from trekking…will be midst nature, bonding between kid and parents..child extra energy get diverted in best direction as all his muscles get activated and most important brain focuses on specific muscles ..its a best BRAIN GYM exercise, natural joint compression, kids get tired so sleep pattern improves…only benefits free of cost…as all of us have spent lumsum amount on therapies…

Today Dhruva could climb 75% of the trek up and down hill total 6.2 km..all the parents just with your kids start with small hill 1km up down …never force your kid especially Autistic kid to perform. They should never feel overdone…Dhruva expressed that he could not climb ,we were just 800 mt away from summit still Rishi and i decided to come down as coming down too requires lot of energy… so enjoy till the child is comfortable…

Proud of you Dhruva..

Now let me explain benefits of Trekking
Along with the physical health benefits, the climbs & descents also strengthen you mentally & emotionally. Enhanced physical stamina, demolished mental blocks, and a restored faith in yourself, trekking or hiking transforms in ways more than you can think!

As it naturally follows, trekkers lead a happier and a healthier life than the rest of the crowd. Trekking surely is holistically therapeutic. For Autistic kids it act as a therapy wherein a kid mind is focused on just one task for a longer period of time..so its the best therapy that to free of cost..so mommies tighten your shoes and just start trekking…the kids sleep is also improved…

In fact, hiking is a good exercise to start with. Let us understand the key health benefits of trekking or hiking. We are beginning with the physical aspect, shifting later to the mental & emotional ones:

1.Overall improved fitness improves muscle tone and works on reducing reflexes..

2.Reduces Stress of the child and family going together..

3.Improves Cardiovascular strength

Regular trekking can increase cardiovascular strength of our kids as the heart has to pump harder to keep up with the oxygen demand while trekking. This increases blood flow to the muscles and the brain of our kids, improving the circulatory and respiratory system’s health.

4.Social benefits
Trekking with other people can create social bonding with people…kids have lot of energy and we call it hyperactive so mommies channelize this energy into constructive tasks.. While trekking, you are able to spend time bonding with members of the group, motivating and encouraging each other to keep going and persevere when times get tough. Sharing the good memories and experiences that come with trekking can also help overcome differences, encourage an acceptance of different kinds of people and increase your ability to adjust and get along with others.

5.Inner Cleanse
While trekking, kids are much less likely to drink aerated drinks, but they’ll drink plenty of H20 and eat wholefoods. Consuming nothing but goodness for a week or more has positive outcomes for inner health. You’ll feel fantastic, your skin rejuvinates and there is definitely empowerment when the body goes a la naturale.

So parents pack your bags ,put on your shoes and move…

Foods to avoid in VATA PACIFIER DIET OR GFCGSF diet…

Foods to avoid in VATA PACIFIER DIET or GFCGSF diet…

hey friends here i am with my third article..on what to avoid in GFCFSF diet(Gluten free,Casein free, sugar Free) diet…

If you decide to follow a GFCF diet you will become an
expert in reading ingredient labels.
A gluten-free/casein-free/Sugar free diet is also known as the GFCFSF diet. …
it’s reasonable to ask what harm could result from trying a casein-gluten-free diet. what i have found in my 1.5 year journey is Autism is due to food intake..and not any other reason..
DUE TO HYPERSENSITIVE BODY OF OUR KIDS ADULTERATED FOOD BECOMES AN IRRITANT IN THERE BODY AND THEY BEHAVE SO UNUSUAL..AND EATING THIS FOOD FOR PROLONGED TIME LEADS TO AUTISTIC BEHAVIOR…
sharing some incidents
Incident no 1
1.I was using Ashirvaad Select Superior Sharbati atta (wheat)
Image result for ashirwad super select
packet since like 8 years a damm good follower of this atta ,being the most expensive atta Rs55 /kg thought this is the best i am giving to my child.
I keep daily records of Dhruva’s intake and changes in his behavior since like 7 months in my dairy this is the first thing early morning i do..takes 5 min time but its worth it… so it was v easy for me each day to rule out the culprit.. will later share the format of the record to maintain..
its my request to all the parents to keep a record of intake you are giving to your child as each child in spectrum is different and in 1 week time you will understand which food is personally effecting your child the most.. and Triggering his behaviors..
The moment i use to give wheat chapati to Dhruva he starts jumping on my sofa for like 2 hrs he became so restless and irritated..but same though as i am giving best of best and most costly wheat to my son then why is it so…was in a very distress situation but god helped me that day itself…
Suddenly received a message one-day on whats app it was about this so called Ashirvaad superior atta. Went through this video and got shocked..

Ashirved Atta reality video
https://youtu.be/N4mm40L0-Gk

then understood the reason why Dhruva got so irritated after eating wheat Chapati…
Guys i got v angry people can go to such extent to earn money…they are least bothered about peoples health just behind money money and money…i had 5kg new packet of this wheat so immediately threw away in dustbin and went to buy wheat and got it grinded immediately .
The whet i got the wheat grinded in front of me and came home and tested it to my surprise it was fully soluble in water friends…
Being from North part of India just had wheat all these years,so was so much worried as to what to give now to my son i still wanted to avoid wheat..so asked my friend Riya ..she to is mother of 5 yrs corageous kid Garv was in spectrum but seems v normal to me at present she too is a hard core follower of GFCFSF diet..she solved the biggest problem of my life ,taught me to make jowari roti...
as jowari roti is litter bit harder and coarser side so my mom with 1 week of experimenting she found out ways to make soft and soluble Jowari roti..so my breakfast and Dinner problem. As short of time will share the video of how to prepare jowari roti and sugar free Tomato chutney to go with it…this roti can me mixed with vegetables to keep it interesting for kid to love it..put spinach ,beetroot ,carrot, beans, cucumber, onion ,tomato, dhaniya patta and many more..and cut them in various shapes to make it look good.
if your kid loves nachani atta (v famous in Maharashtra) Rice, flax seed you can add all of these and Daal(chana daal ,tuar daal,Moong daal etc) too and can make multigrain atta..but make a point get it grinded in front of you itself
Gluten is found in wheat (including durum and bulgar), oats, rye, barley, millet, kamut and spelt and in foods made from these grains, including breads, pastas, cereals, cookies and crackers, vinegars, sauces, soups, artificial colors and flavorings, some spices, food starches and even some candies.
But thousands of processed foods contain ingredients made from gluten or casein, so staples such as hot dogs, lunch meat, bottled salad dressings, jarred sauces, and even some margarine may not be allowed.
all these foods should be avoided strictly…
2.The 2nd obvious culprits is milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream….GHEE
Casein is in dairy products, including milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, yogurt, ice cream and is added to some margarine. Casein in the form of caseinate is often added to soy cheese and hot dogs for texture. It is not just cow’s milk that contains casein but also milk from all mammals, including goats, sheep and human breast milk. Products that are lactose-free are not necessarily casein-free.
some people were asking me about camel milk i have never given this milk t Dhruva so i am unaware of its pros and cons.but sharing
Wikipedia link, may be it will help..
you an give calcium suppelements tokids as we are removing majour cource. My doc suggested calcimax..
Incident no 2..

Image result for govind ghee

one day my friends came over my place for dinner and i have prepared the most famous north Indian cuisine LITTI CHOKHA so this time i was very particular with Dhruva’s litti .Made it out of jowari. i served him jowari litti and chutney and brinjal bharta..this time i was so sure he will enjoy his food.but to my surprise as i dipped the litti in GHEE and gave to Dhruva to eat. he had it, there was no smell in ghee ,was again using Govind Ghee since last 7 days so never thought of any adulteration in this ghee

but Dhruva became v hyperactive and restless i remember he started jumping on the sofa for 2 hrs ,crying yelling and biting, head banging which i had never experienced with him..As ghee was the only culprit so with immediate effect stopped Ghee…
and next day he was absolutely fine..all behavior were gone..
it seem they have mixed Dalda or any unwanted oil palmoline oil,Safflower oil,Cotton seed oil..etc which are v harmful..etc.and what not..the quality of ghee was very bad.no taste in ghee no smell and it was not solidifying also which is one property of ghee..half bottle was full of oil and was floating it seemed refine oil was floating on ghee..
now comes the third culprit
Sugar
A sugar-free diet (or no-sugar diet) is one that typically limits all sources of added sugar (like soda(triggers hyperactivity immediately), snack bars and desserts, Sugar found in artificial juice ,sugar candies, kids favorite LOLLY-POP ,Chocolates
are removed from the child’s daily food intake.
Incident No 3
With GFCF diet for 1 month now Dhruva became quiet manageable so thought of taking him to a restaurant .we went there ordered our food and Dhruva”s favorite FRESH LIME SODA..
immediately after drinking the soda he became v hyper in the restaurant itself..every body was starring us..we came back home rushing and gave him coconut water and he went to pee twice and thrice and he was fine the next day..
so ruled out Soda and all the air rated drinks from his diet.. too ..
Removing sugar from diet is very benificial it leads to
  • Reduced risk for inflammatory digestive conditions, such as irritable bowel disease (IBD), and intolerance to wheat/gluten many also notice less constipation, diarrhea, stomach bloating or acid reflux.
  • Better protection against other common conditions related to inflammation, weight gain and nutrient deficiencies like hemorrhoids, kidney stones, peptic ulcer, PMS, autoimmune diseases, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, and neurological diseases like dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
In order to reduce your sugar intake and deal with cravings for sweets or refined carbohydrates — a very common problem among most parents looking to improve their kids eating habits — there are five main steps I recommend taking, which are discussed in more detail below:
  1. Eat more fiber.Make child eat more fiber..
  2. Include more protein in your diet.
  3. Eat more healthy fats.
  4. Read ingredient labels carefully when grocery shopping in order to know just what you’re consuming, since most parents don’t realize how much sugar they’re really eating or drinking.
FERMENTED FOOD
Will wind up this article by adding no fermented products such as Idli Dosa as they are prepared by fermenting them..
you can give freshly grinded Idli Dosa but strictly not fermented one .
the moment i use to give him fermented food Dhruva would start laughing without any cause..again gave him coconut water and all unwanted substance from his body would flush out and he was fine..later..
Certainly, dietary changes can be worth investigating and trying, and many parents report improvements in behavior.
Currently i am working with 6 kids and all are getting better day by day only with diet..out of these 2 are those parents who cannot afford Rs1000/45 min therapies class.

so mommies do give it a try..i can say with my experience 60% child recovers from spectrum..

Do bear with me as i get only 5 am to 7 am time to post these articles.. that to 2 days as i go for strength training by PRC PUNE rest days left as i have to complete this blog so that my aim to take out all the kids from spectrum is achieved and also to complete 42 km marathon one day…

VATA PACIFIER DIET or GFCFSF diet plus Preservative free :key to pull your child out of Autism Spectrum Disorder…

Best Diet for Kids..VATA PACIFIER DIET or GFCFSF diet…and i add PRESERVATIVE free diet toobalanced-diet-meats
Hello friends,
Today’s topic is GFCGSF diet plus Preservative free also
Sharing my experience ..the best thing which i followed was a GFCGSF(Gluten free Caisine Free Sugar free) diet for Dhruva…

Later will cover topics
1.Joint compression for low muscle tone
2.Massage therapy for improving muscle tone
3.Aroma Therapy
4.Full day activity to keep kids busy..
5.Mouth massage…
and many more coming..

Actually this diet is not only fantastic for our kids but very healthy for normal kids who too are little hyperactive in there generation …and most important point since no milk and milk products chocolate too is included, no wheat and no sugar is strictly followed so plz mommies don’t have a guilt feeling that you are not able to give paneer or cheese to your kid..
As i am the member of PUNE RUNNING CLUB too so have seen many ultra runners on GFCFSF diet..The best sports players out there in world follow this diet so believe me mommies you are giving your child “the best gift of health” in this adulterated food world..
just give him/her ADULTERATION free,Food without
Preservative, No junk food,No packet food..No Stale food(means do not keep the food overnight in fridge and serve next day to the kid)everythingfreshly prepared at home by mommies itself..try avoiding food maid by Maids..but incase no option for working ladies have to depend on maids and cook try training them…in that case…
This diet is little difficult to follow as mommies out there have to cook separately for kid but believe me girls its worth trying..i have given Ayurveda treatment wasted 1.5 lakh and result was zero improvement, spent 50 thousand on homeopathy treatment at Mumbai again result Zero… can share the name of doctors on personal messages. for 6 months was misguided by 5 to 6 therapist of Pune. Had they would have given best therapies to my son would have started talking at present .
Was into dead depression even went to a psychiatrist to get medicine as had 1.5 month of sleepless night was feeling so help less as i was not able to lessen the pain of Dhruva..so trust me mommies follow the diet religiously and you will start seeing all the positive changes in 1 to 2 weeks time…it was my call that day i came back from psychiatrist clinic thinking if i would have taken the medicine then would have slept for 2 yrs and what about Dhruva…so mommies take your call and start working out things…around your kitchen…
Making atta chapati for family and jowari for kid, daily Tomato chuttney aur sauce as you say. is dificult girls butits worth tryingThe amount of tension and depression we are facing now will vanish like a storm..when each day you will see good changes in our kids that feeling is not expressible…i don’t have words for that best feeling child will break the loop and will come out shinning…
Due to this diet firstly
1. Hyperactivity came down..
2.As was feeling good inside his body so stopped crying..
3.As he was quiet his sitting tolerance improved..
4.Eye contact was fantastic
5.Became more attentive and quiet.
6.Started responding to his name in earlier days of diet out of 10, 5 times he responded to his name now its 10 out of 10.
7.Reflex improved
8.Mouthing almost gone.
9.No traits of toe walking..
10.Hands stimming reduced
11.Best part Command following..increased he can give water to plants brings remote..gives me phone when it rings, keep his plates after eating, puts transh in dustbit and beauty is he throws dry trash and wet trash separately..

12.has become vv social he bid us bye and goes with all are relatives and friends..
13.Recognizes all persons in family maid too

14.His vocab is of 250 words and more started speaking also..
i followed this diet religiously means like we follow our respective gods likewise need to follow diet and its 5.5 month now for me and Dhruva is out of Spectrum with only speech delay..and words have started coming..one by one..
what i have experienced is Autism is due to this Adulterated food which we eat during the pregnancy and later give to our children..just monitor the intake of your child and he will be absolutely fine..
At present my whole house is preservative free no tomato ketchup also since last five months.Daily morning i prepare fresh tomato chutney to go with all the chapatis and snacks whole day ..will later share the recipe..no preservative for our kids class 1, 2, 3 whatever..
Countless benefits of GFCGSF diet bcoz of this diet i have broken the infinite loop of distress and depression and not feeling hopeless and helpless and its been 5.5 months now i am following and my son is out of spectrum from moderate ..autism to out of spectrum

You can throw all of the supplements, medication, etc But if you don’t get the basics right, then you’re essentially wasting your time.…And this is because you are missing the bigger picture. please avoid Sugar and all sugar products to bring down hyperactivity….in children..
Allowed food..

1. Jowari,(nachni , raggi soya atta) with tomato chatni freshly prepared daily..Get the stuff grinded in a mill in front of your eyes..in Maharashtra there are separate grinding machine for jowari and wheat..no mixing of wheat..
2.All the vegetables except brinjal ,cabbage and and big no to broccoli..cauliflower you can give in afternoon but big no at the dinner time..

3.All the seasonal fruits.

Image result for fruit basket

.if the child is sweet tooth then fruits are the best option rather than giving biscuits and chocolate . some well wishers of mine even told me that giving mango and chikoo as they are more sweet can trigger hyperactivity but we found that sweet in natural form is the best no side effects.. Go for Mangoes,Small banana (elaichi kela)if available good ones then prefer otherwise big banana is fine..,Watermelon in whole form or juice,

Muskmelon,Grapes,Orange , Mausami , chikoo and
Apple of course.”an apple day keeps the doctor away” but need to be v choosy in apples go for 4015 USA apple as they are not mushy (bhusbhusa) is the term in Hindi..its kadak. There is wax coating i know just dip the apple in little warm water for a minute or 2 and your are done..apple is ready to eat..Dhruva only likes this apple..as its very good in taste. These apples are costly but rather than spending loads of money in therapy its better focus on child’s intake.Intake is the culprit in my case and all the other kids i am working with…

Image result for 4015 apple

rest all fruits you can give like kiwi, mandarin, etc available outside India.
4.One coconut water daily…by fail….it is to improve taste buds of our kids and flush out all the toxins in body..
no powder sachet coconut water only fresh coconut..

5.Make fresh soup daily(Beetroot,Beans,Carrot,Spinach,1-2 garlic, little ginger,Tomato) this soup daily will eradicate Iron ,vitamin A deficiency which will finally help in less mouthing good eye contact..improvement in teething…
6.Non veg compulsory to improve muscle tone….most vegetarian children are prone to autism and mothers who are vegetarian during the pregnancy have higher chances to deliver week baby..try getting the B 12 test it will definitely be on lower side.
1 egg daily,Mutton paya soup twice a week, chicken liver 50 gm only please buy good quality Chicken Saguna brand is the one i preferrer.

Image result for sagunachicken
Now s a days the so called “Desi Chicken” is also hybrid form so if you really get village desi chicken then its fantastic..once a week,Mutton liver only 50 gm strictly once a week.try buying mutton from a good and trusted shop.Mutton liver or Paya of 6 to 10 kg “KHASSI” what we call best mutton is the best..
Point to be noted.since its too hot in India avoid non veg just give clear soup that to only twice a week.
and no non-veg at dinner time..try giving omelette in breakfast and chicken and mutton in afternoon itself. After 4pm no egg chicken or mutton.
most important point do not give chicken/mutton/fish and egg same day. Egg one day then rest other day…
7.Now let me cover the most difficult part of mommies out here..big question”Snack may kya doon” so you can give roasted Makhana,Banana chips,Potato and rice wafers ,Besan and besan ke sare recipies..besan chilla pakoda..besan pizza too can be made at home very easy and good snack for lunch box too..soya ,nachni, jowari ,raggi sticks..all of these can be made at home itself..

8. Now let me come to Oil to be used basically for preparing jowari roti use “TIL ka TEL” also called Sesame oil…if possible mommies go for cold-pressed oil as it retains-all the good properties..of this oil..will in later post tell all you guys why we are using til ka tel..rest all the vegetables can be cooked in sunflower oil..my personal experience Sundrop is the best oil for children as well as adults..

kacchi dhani oil for northeast people
Groundnut oil in Maharashtra
as suits you…
Do not use OLIVE oil as it is too costly so is adulterated..My personal experience i got a very good brand olive oil (Borges) and the moment i gave this to Dhruva he became hyperactive.. and restless
Give rice bran oil thats also good but use the best quality in the market..and most important when you buy oil from supermarket please look at the content of oil behind the bottle..my personal experience one day i bought my mistake sunflower oil other that SUNDROP and later when i was reading the content to my surprise it was Safflower oil and not SUNFLOWER oil.so be careful..

Sound Of Falling Snow:Dhruva’s Journey..

Sound of Falling Snow

“IMPOSSIBLE” itself says “I AM POSSIBLE”

With boundless love and patience we as a parent can help our child achieve success.During the darkest days don’t give-up; stand up once again when your faith is shaken”, and the most important part – “Believe in our child competence”My son was 7.5 month premature baby weighing 1400gm suffering from RDS spent 34 days in NICU and ventilator. A day came in the hospital wherein he stopped breathing and had to do surgery in the side of the lungs to give artificial respiration through ventilator. The Doctors, we and the baby fought back with courage and determination so that we could bring him back from the hospital to the home. And then came the day when we bought him to the home. His first touch and feel gave me such a satisfaction, joy, pride, relief and a close companion.Babies are like Sun that bring warmth, happiness and light into our lives in such a magical way. Time passed and he made my love stronger, day’s shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, apart forgotten and feel worth living for.My son was a healthy infant and met his developmental milestones until approximately 2yrs of age when we observed that his development was a bit slower. He was not responding to his name. People used to tell the boys generally have delayed speech. He was good at gross and fine motors but had speech delay. By the age of 2.5 yrs we witnessed strong regression in language and his behaviour after a heavy sickness. Since he cannot speak he used to cry a lot whenever he could not explain anything. We as a parent were distressed seeing his restlessness, hyperactivity, cry and developmental delays. We met many doctors and they recommended speech therapy, occupational therapy. Without any further delays, we started the therapies. We also researched almost all fields allopathic, homeopathy, ayurvedic treatment, aroma therapy, massage therapy, crystal therapy and Reiki ( as we are both Reiki Masters). We even requested Principal ma’am that our son needs some time off from the school so that we could extensively carry out all the therapies, who was always there to support us whatever we needed for the Child’s development. We also discussed with other parents who were facing similar problems. So, we took a leave from the school and dedicated our whole time for our child’s development. We started GFCFSF diet and went preservative free and initiated intense therapies noting down everyday’s diary for the kid to observe his development very closely. Days were hectic, and after seeing regular ups and down. With 3-4 hrs of daily massage, 1 hour of exercise, 2-3 hours of sitting/learning activity we found that he is now responding and feeling much less restless as he was able to explain his needs in a better way than before. With joint compressions his muscle tone also started improving.Time passed and about 3-4 month later we decided that now the child needs his mates company. So we decided to resume his schooling. And the day when he resumed his school, Principal Ma’am and his teachers were so surprised to see the change. He has improved eye contact, responding his name and following commands. Even he is comfortable with the teachers and his friends. Earlier he used to cry while going to school and now he is bringing his bag himself to go to school and happily goes to the school. He is happy now and less restless. He has not yet started speaking fully but has started few words and we are very confident that very soon he will be speaking too. A lot of thanks to Principal ma’am, Archana Ma’am and the teachers for their help and support. This was all possible due to the positive approach and dedication. Parent must enjoy their parenthood. Keep on pouring unconditional love and care upon your children whatever the situations. Respect your freedom and choice. Parent should come together and with their love and care can change any situation. If your child is weak in mathematics and good at arts, do not get a math’s teacher rather than get an arts teacher for the child. Children learn through various ways visually, by hearing, by observing others and by passively making the child do various activities. Some are good at some ways and some in others. We need to know the child closely what the child is good at and recognize his strengths. Hope this article will help you understand your child in a better way. Always “Dwell in possibilities”after helping about 6 to 7 kids now…all my friends out there wanted me to create a blog and share all the experience and our findings that is helping all the kids to recover from Autism….so guys here i am with the blog…will share all the data finding and my experiences…feel free to post any queries on..:: dhruvatherisingstar1@gmail.com- Mrs. Sneha Narayan- Capt.Rishikant Narayan
